About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated individual to join the Royal British Legion as a Poppy Appeal Manager for Worcestershire. This role offers a unique opportunity to coordinate all aspects of the award winning Poppy Appeal in your area, working closely with the Regional Poppy Appeal Manager to meet agreed income, expenditure, and contribution targets. You will manage relationships with local supporters, partners, and volunteers, ensuring they have the resources and support they need to maximise fundraising efforts and make a lasting impact.

The Casework and Research Manager will lead Humanists International's efforts in supporting Humanists at Risk through strategic engagement, research, and the management of key publications, particularly the Freedom of Thought Report. To provide management information and insight across Shelter, through the design and development of datasets, reports and systems using Microsoft Power BI and other tools.

To succeed, you’ll need proven experience of analysing, interpreting and presenting datasets using PowerBI and working with CRMs and other systems. You’ll also need excellent Excel skills and familiarity with database structures such as SQL. Comfortable working with colleagues at all levels across an organisation, you enjoy nothing more than collating, analysing and disseminating business intelligence or helping others develop intelligence from reports and dashboards. Are you an experienced paid digital expert who is also passionate about nature? We're looking for someone to join our membership marketing team and deliver income-generating recruitment campaigns.

You will have proven expertise of managing the delivery of paid search, social and display advertising using a range of targeting techniques including macro demographic and internet-based targeting, as well as micro audience segmentation-based targeting and re targeting techniques. You will manage the media agency at delivery level to ensure this activity is planned and monitored closely and optimised regularly to maximise impact and ROI.

You will also work alongside direct marketing managers to integrate with paid offline and DM/EM campaigns and with the website team to optimise conversion across the join journey.

Essential skills, knowledge and experience:

• Experience in planning and running effective digital advertising campaigns across PPC, Paid Social and Display

Since last year, we have been gradually launching our new Excellence Network regional clinical lead roles across England as part of our new regional model in England. We're now recruiting for the final regional clinical lead in England to lead their regional network in London.

In September 2024, the Parkinson’s UK Excellence Network (PEN) moved to a new regional model in England and introduced the 7 newly-formed PEN regions in England, with the boundaries aligned to the 7 NHS England regions. Click here to read more about the new model.

The regional model in the devolved nations remains the same: there are 3 regions in Scotland, 2 in Wales and 1 region in Northern Ireland.

Last year we began gradually recruiting the consultancy services of regional clinical leads in each of the 7 regions in England, to help us deliver this new model.

We are now recruiting for the final regional clinical lead vacancy in England to lead their regional network in London.

Who can apply?

Any UK-based healthcare professional, working in Parkinson’s or with an interest and expertise in the condition, with exceptional interpersonal and influencing skills is welcome to apply. Healthcare professionals living with Parkinson’s are also encouraged.

The ADSHG is a well-established UK charity supporting people with Addison’s and adrenal insufficiency through its website, social media reach and member services.   Addison’s disease is a form of adrenal insufficiency and is a rare endocrine condition affecting 1:10,000, and both genders. Whilst treatable with time-critical daily medication, individuals with adrenal insufficiency are at risk of potentially life-threatening adrenal crisis, which occurs when physical or emotional triggers mean that prescribed medication no longer meets the body’s need for cortisol.  Adrenal crisis is a medical emergency and can be life-threatening if not diagnosed and treated in a short period of time.  Addison's and adrenal insufficiency are not widely understood, even within the medical community.     

Social Media

Our social media reach has grown steadily over the years, and, thanks to thoughtful content promoting audience engagement, it currently stands at a reach of over 31,000 across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and X and with a growing reach on BlueSky.   Our audience consists of our members and non-members with a diagnosis of adrenal insufficiency, their carers and supporters, and healthcare professionals.

We use Loomly to help organise and schedule our posts, aiming to post at least 3 times a week.  Our community respond particularly well to both educational and emotive topics, but we aim to keep a good diversity between the focus of posts, and will include fundraising, news, updates, shop alerts, educational articles, member information etc. 

Our social media links our community back to our website for more information as well as signposting out to other organisations as appropriate.

Who are we looking for?

Ideal candidates will have 2-3 years of social media experience, ideally within an agency or in house at a brand. Candidates will be a TikTok enthusiast who understands platform trends, storytelling and viral marketing. Strong knowledge of social media algorithms, analytics and content strategies is essential for this role. You will be able to create short-form video content (experience with Cap Cut or similar editing tools is a bonus). About you

Do you want to use your skills to make it possible for people with myeloma, an incurable blood cancer, to live longer and better lives?

Myeloma UK is looking for a motivated and pro-active Policy Officer to join our Patient Advocacy team within the wider Research and Advocacy directorate.  You will have experience of analysing, developing, and communicating policy issues, excellent communication and influencing skills and the ability to present findings and recommendations to a range of audiences.  The post holder will have excellent attention to detail and the ability to prioritise and work under pressure.

The successful candidate will be a highly regarded ambassador for Myeloma UK with a desire to continuously improve and to make a difference while working flexibility and using their own initiative.

Experience of public/patient engagement work, participating in government policy consultations and patient advocacy campaign work would be beneficial but not essential.

About the role

As the Policy Officer you will be part of the Patient Advocacy team who work to ensure that the patient voice is heard and acted upon by UK and devolved nations healthcare policy decision makers. You will support Myeloma UK’s ambition to deliver personalised medicine, such that every person living with and affected by myeloma and associated conditions has access to the best diagnostics, treatment and care services and quality of life experience.

Your role is vital to developing strategic approaches to UK health policy legislation and consultations to ensure that UK government and devolved nations healthcare policy supports the needs of people living with and affected by myeloma and associated conditions. 

You will support the Policy Manager to assess existing healthcare policies, regulations and legislation to understand their implications for myeloma-specific healthcare systems, providers and patients
