This is a job share role, working alongside a colleague based in Northern Ireland to deliver a seamless, high-impact media presence across the region. You will take the lead on strategic media relationships and activity in the North West and North East England, while contributing to projects and campaigns and media requests across all areas.
Hours: 21 hours per week (Monday to Wednesday)
Location: Homebased in North West or North East England, with travel across the North West, North East, and Northern Ireland
About the role
In this role, you will help shape how Alzheimer’s Society shows up in the media, telling powerful stories that inform, influence and inspire action.

- Lead and deliver regional media projects from planning through to evaluation, ensuring they align with wider organisational priorities
- Identify and secure proactive media opportunities to promote our services, fundraising, research and campaigns
- Develop and deliver media strategies that engage key audiences and strengthen our position as the leading voice on dementia
- Build strong relationships with journalists, spokespeople and partners to increase our reach and impact
- Create compelling, accessible content including press releases, articles, blogs and campaign materials
- Support and coach spokespeople and people affected by dementia to share their stories with confidence and authenticity
- Respond to media enquiries and manage reputational issues with professionalism, care and sound judgement

You will also contribute to a collaborative, 24/7 media function, working closely with colleagues across research, fundraising, influencing and services. Travel across the region and occasional evening or overnight work will be part of the role.
About you
You are a confident communicator with a passion for making a difference and a strong understanding of how regional media can drive change.

- Experience in a communications or PR role, with a track record of delivering effective media coverage
- Excellent writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex information into clear, engaging content
- Strong knowledge of regional and local media landscapes and how to work effectively within them
- A collaborative approach, with the ability to build relationships, influence others and work across teams

Role Overview
The Talent Set are delighted to partner with CleanupUK on a fantastic Trusts and Philanthropy Fundraising Lead role. This is a key member of the income generation team, responsible for securing funding from trusts, foundation, Lottery and other non-corporate grant-making sources to support their work in deprived communities.

Key Responsibilities

• Implementing existing and future annual workplans, complemented with your own input into maximising CleanupUK’s revenue from trusts, foundations, The Lottery and other appropriate sources
• Raising the non-corporate annual budgeted fundraising revenue
• Managing the part-time freelance Local/Regional Trust and Foundations Fundraiser to help them maximise their revenue
• Managing the part-time freelance National Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser to help them maximise their revenue
• In conjunction with the Chief Executive, nurture the key existing funder relationships
• To develop strong and close relationships with new key trust and foundation funders
• To optimise the relationships to ensure good communication between CleanupUK teams on fundraising matters
• The role will involve both hands-on fundraising and also significant involvement in planning CleanupUK’s future strategy
• Contribute to the exploration of appropriate new revenue streams for CleanupUK

Person Specification

• Experience in trusts and philanthropy fundraising, ideally within the charity sector.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft creative and compelling proposals from diverse programme areas.
• Strong relationship-building and networking abilities.
• Proven track record of securing 5 and 6 figure gifts from trusts, donations, lottery, statutory or major donor fundraising
• Organised and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to identifying opportunities.

What’s on Offer

About the role

Overall job purpose

As a Conservation Projects Manager and a key member of the national Conservation team, you will work with experienced consultants and skilled craftspeople, with national and regional colleagues, volunteers, local partners and stakeholders to develop and manage a range of holistic, conservation and new use projects, from inception to completion, and providing professional advice and support to community led projects.  You will lead on capital, conservation and maintenance programmes in East Anglia and beyond as required.

You might be a Building Surveyor, a Conservation Architect, an Estate Manager, or a Project Manager, in this continually varied and unique role you will be working on some of the most significant historic buildings in the country. As you’ll be working on projects across a large geographical area, it is essential you have a full driving licence.

About the role

This is a varied role where you will take the lead on coordinating, developing and promoting Deaf Unity’s training provision. Our training includes BSL courses, e-learning, and bespoke training for organisations.

About the role

This is a hands-on, varied role where you will lead on the coordination, development and promotion of Deaf Unity’s services. These include communication support (CSWs), interpreting provision, translation services, and a growing jobs board.

About Adolescent Health Study

The Adolescent Health Study (AHS) is an ambitious new UKRI-funded initiative to establish a prospective, longitudinal population study that will generate a globally leading open science data platform and research resource. AHS aims to recruit at least 100,000 young people from across the UK and to follow their mental and physical health and wellbeing over at least 10 years. It plans to collect data through questions and measures; to obtain bio-samples for a wide range of genomic and other high-throughput assays; and to capture linked data relevant to health and wellbeing from participants’ health, education and other administrative records. There will be a strong emphasis on engaging with and involving young people, schools, parents and other relevant stakeholders in the design and delivery of the study, as well as on including young people that represent as wide as possible a range of backgrounds, experiences and characteristics. AHS will focus on enabling a wide range of research, including studies of the critical biological and social developments that occur during the transition from childhood to adulthood and the determinants of both mental and physical health and wellbeing in adolescents and young adults.

Purpose of the post

The Administrative Officer will play a key role in providing administrative, coordination and financial support across AHS. The role focuses on managing core systems, inboxes and documents, ensuring information is accurate, accessible and compliant. Acting as a central point for organisation, the postholder will coordinate meetings, support teams with routine administrative tasks, and contribute to smooth financial processes. They will help maintain effective workflows in a virtual environment, escalating issues as needed to keep daily operations running efficiently.

Main responsibilities

Administration and Systems Management

• Manage AHS central inbox(es) and escalate matters to the Business Administrator and Business Manager as appropriate
• Provide day-to-day administrative support including preparing, filing, archiving and retrieving documents
•  Manage and update shared digital platforms, databases and documents to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Manage administrative functions such as task tracking in a fully virtual environment

Team Coordination and Support

• Coordinate meetings and workshops, including scheduling and logistics, for AHS team members and external parties as required
• Provide key administrative support during meetings, including business and study meeting minutes as required

Finance Delivery and Support

• Manage the AHS finance inbox, directing queries and escalating issues as needed
• Support invoice processing, including maintaining accurate records
• Prepare payment requests and documentation in line with internal processes
• Maintain up-to-date financial administration files across shared systems

Operational Delivery and Implementation

• Provide hands-on support to teams and managers in rolling out new tools, systems and operational processes that are critical for the success of the longitudinal study
• Support the smooth, day-to-day running of business operations, ensuring tasks and processes are completed efficiently
• Identify operational issues or bottlenecks, propose practical solutions where appropriate, and escalate matters to the Business Administrator and Business Manager

Knowledge, skills and experience

Essential criteria

• Experience of working in a health and/or data research environment
• Qualified to A level or vocational qualifications, or equivalent, plus some experience in a relevant role
• Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of software
• Able to manage information electronically through databases and spreadsheets
• Excellent organisational and time management skills with the proven ability to prioritise and, at times under pressure, produce accurate work to deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to take ownership of problems and find solutions
• Understanding and experience of using finance systems (e.g. Sage)

Desirable criteria

• Experience of working in an organisation in its infancy or a start-up
• Understanding and experience of using project management tools and techniques

• This is expected to be a full-time post
• AHS is a national organisation, and our activities take place across the UK
• Primarily home working, with flexibility to travel across several geographical locations in the UK

Senior Legal Rights Team Manager

Purpose of the Role:

Due to an ambitious strategy to increase our reach and revenue by 2027, and increasing demand for our legal services, we are ready to welcome an experienced Senior Legal Rights Team Manager to our Legal Rights Team.

We are looking for an experienced and organised individual to lead the delivery of our high-quality legal rights service, managing a team to ensure our services and support comply with regulatory obligations and remain up to date with the latest legal updates. This includes casework supervision within the team as well as managing your own caseload. The legal focus of the team’s work is within the health and social care field.

In addition, you will need to support the Director of Research and Support Services in managing our external relationships, evaluating and monitoring our service, devising and delivering training and supporting research and marketing activity. Additionally, you will use casework evidence to inform the Charity’s wider policy and advocacy strategies to achieve systematic change.

To be a success in this role, you should be an excellent communicator, proactive, flexible, highly organised and able to meet deadlines. This is a challenging but well-supported role, where you can make a large, career-defining impact for Cerebra and the children and families that we serve.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

1. Team Management and Supervision

• Provide effective, remote line management, support and performance management to direct reports to help them maximise their potential and effectiveness.
• Ensuring that knowledge, training and skills are maintained within the team, with a particular focus on legal knowledge and expertise.
• Conducting inductions, performance management and ensuring casework supervision.
• Provide practical and person-focused coaching support to the Legal Rights Team.
• Ensure there is a continual culture and focus on learning and development and wellbeing.

2. Culture & leadership

• Work to continue the development of a strong, person-centred, empathetic, supportive and inclusive culture at Cerebra.
• Build on excellent relationships between different teams and directorates for each other’s and Cerebra’s overall strategic goals and objectives
• Collaborate across departments to align partner activity with service delivery and communications.

3. Legal Casework

• Oversee and supervise casework around health and social care legal entitlements.
• Manage referrals to the Legal Rights Service and triage new cases.
• Ensure that casework is managed in a timely, appropriate and compliant manner.
• Undertaking a personal caseload, including complex cases.
• Ensure all cases are handled in a timely manner - compliantly, effectively and ensuring quality standards are adhered to.
• Develop and maintain legal information products.
• Providing reports to the Director Group and Trustees where required on service performance, legal trends and key performance indicators.
• Use any common occurring problems that arise from the casework to feed into developing further research work into the area of health and social care.

4. Policy and Advocacy

• Utilise insights and data gathered from casework to identify systematic issues/updates and contribute to Cerebra’s policy and advocacy strategies.
• Collaboration and supporting the Senior Research, Policy and Influencing Manager to ensure insights and data trends identified from casework are appropriately actioned and communicated.
• Use knowledge, experience and legislative updates to influence wider policy changes.

5. General

• Monitor and evaluate the impact of the Legal Rights Team.
• Build and develop relationships with similar charities/organisations.
• Analyse trends in the area of health and social care law that can feed into future research projects.
• Develop and deliver Cerebra’s legal rights strategy, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and research priorities.
• Support collaboration across the different Cerebra teams.
• Experience using Client Relationship Management (CRM) systems or similar digital tools for recording and tracking work.
• Uphold Cerebra’s Data Protection Policy and all relevant confidentiality and safeguarding policies.
• Carry out any other reasonable duties in line with the needs of the team and organisation.

This role offers the opportunity to be part of a successful national remote service, offering support via the phone or Zoom to affected adults in the UK. We are looking to recruit experienced Family Support professionals to provide these virtual support sessions to individual family members and sometimes groups. We are offering a number of roles at 15-20 hours per week, across 3-5 days, including Wednesday and at least 2 evenings per week (Mon-Wed).

Experience in supporting family members affected by someone else’s substance use is essential, as is experience with assessing and managing risk. Ideally, you would also have experience of working to support parents with their parenting and / or those experiencing domestic abuse. We offer fixed hours part time contracts within a friendly and supportive team. Whilst based at home and requiring the ability to work autonomously, Adfam prides ourselves on our supportive team ethos and working culture. 

• Salary: £30,000 pro rata

Purpose of role

As the Managing Director for the UK and Europe, you will develop and deliver the European fundraising strategy and plans and oversee the execution of all fundraising activities in Europe. These activities include, but are not limited to individual giving, major gifts, bequests, corporate giving, and community fundraising.

Primary responsibilities

The job holder will have the following key responsibilities: 

• Oversees fundraising activities and performance in Humane World for Animals’ EU and UK offices. Works closely with the Country Directors and the VP of International Fundraising on the execution of the fundraising programmes. Identifies opportunities to improve efficiency and facilitates collaboration efforts across European offices. (30%)
• Manages all fundraisers in the region and ensures they achieve their goals by providing guidance and advice, training, performance management and career development. Coordinates priorities and tasks and monitors progress. (25%)
• Monitors and reports on performance progress towards agreed revenue targets; efficiency and cost-effectiveness (including external fundraising contractors); and challenges or opportunities in the external fundraising environment. (20%)
• Creates and manages the budget for fundraising expenses and income targets. Sets and reviews multi-year and yearly investment and revenue targets. (10%)
• Leads research, planning, and implementation of new marketing initiatives and acquisition programmes, including but not limited to DRTV, face-to-face, telemarketing and PSMS Mobile channels. Establishes effective donor retention strategies and oversees their execution. (10%)
• Works closely with the VP of International Fundraising to develop and execute a strategic vision to grow fundraising income in the Europe region, translating the vision into an action plan, and ensuring the successful implementation and execution of the vision. (5%)

Requirements

Education and experience

• An academic degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• A minimum of eight or more years of fundraising experience with a proven track record in driving significant, multi-channel revenue growth across multiple markets.
• A minimum of five years of senior management experience leading fundraising or marketing teams, including leadership responsibilities for staff, strategy development and execution, and budget accountability, preferably in the animal welfare arena, required.
• Demonstrated experience scaling high-performing international fundraising programs. International NGO experience strongly preferred.
• Proven ability to deliver multi‑million income portfolios, optimize ROI, and drive continuous improvement in donor acquisition and retention.
• Experience accurately forecasting and reporting on revenue, expenditures and delivering against agreed KPIs.
• At least five years’ experience in at least one of the following income streams: individual giving, major gifts, bequests, corporate giving, and/or community fundraising. Additionally, a strong preference for marketing experience.

Job Title: Heritage Advisor, Nature in Sacred Places (NiSP)

Duration: Fixed Term, 15 months (development phase)

Hours: 36 hours per week

Salary: £33,300 per annum, plus pension and benefits

Location: Homebased within England

The Churches Conservation Trust is a partner in the Nature in Sacred Places (NISP) National Lottery Heritage Fund project. This is a £5.2m project with an 18-month development phase followed by a four-year delivery phase (subject to securing further funding), in partnership with Natural England, the Church of England, Churches Conservation Trust and Caring for God’s Acre. NISP will build on principles established by the Bats in Churches Project, a previous project supported by the Heritage Fund which worked with faith groups, community volunteers, young people and professionals across three main strands, Broadening engagement, Supporting practical action and Building professional capacity.

Overall job purpose

As a member of the Nature in Sacred Places project team, the post-holder will be responsible for:

• Providing advice on the management, conservation, maintenance and repairs of historic buildings and of the structures within their curtilage (e.g. memorials, gravestones, walls and gates, path etc.);
• Provide advice on conservation and cleaning of built heritage and artefacts, helping to plan solutions to enable better management, greater access and enjoyment, providing specialist advice on making changes to, and the repair of, historic places of worship and obtaining necessary permissions.

Working with other project partners the post holder will develop a template for Conservation Management Plan of both historic and natural environments that is proportionate and appropriate for volunteers to adopt and deliver.
