The role will be responsible for working across a large and complex organisation with a newly launched strategy, to identify and develop compelling narratives and strategic, transformational propositions that will enable them to secure significant funding across all income streams.

You will work with fundraisers and programme leads to create a blueprint for impact tracking, reporting and stewardship that will clearly demonstrate their impact and ensure they are delivering on their commitments to funders.

We are looking for a warm, thoughtful and organised Dementia Adviser to join our supportive team in London Borough of Hillingdon working 35 hours per week.

You will work closely with people living with dementia and those who care about them, providing ongoing support. You will listen carefully, understand what matters most to each person and offer guidance that helps them feel steadier and more confident as their situation changes.

Your days will be varied and meaningful. You might be visiting someone at home, offering calm reassurance over the phone, or working closely with professionals to make sure the right support is in place. We operate a triage system for new referrals, and you will play your part in making sure people are responded to quickly and thoughtfully. You will manage your own caseload, keep clear and accurate records, while always seeing the person behind the paperwork.

You will be part of a caring and dynamic local team who share ideas, reflect together and support one another. There will be time to meet as a team and opportunities to keep growing your knowledge of dementia, with your manager and colleagues alongside you.

About you

You will have:

- An understanding of dementia, or a willingness to learn about the experiences of people living with dementia and those who care for them.
- Experience providing information, guidance, advice or emotional support - this could be from health, social care, community, voluntary, customer service or other people focused roles.

Role Purpose

The Head of Philanthropy is accountable for delivering significant philanthropic income for Justice & Care, including through personally secured major gifts, alongside building and leading a high-performing philanthropy function.

The postholder will design and execute the philanthropy strategy, hold and actively manage a portfolio of major donors and prospects, and personally secure five- and sixfigure gifts through direct relationship management and solicitation.

We're recruiting for a Legacy Marketing Manager to join our team. In this role, you'll take the lead on the delivery and development of Barnardo's legacy and in-memory marketing programmes, playing a vital part in securing long-term, sustainable income for the charity. 

This is a varied and rewarding role, offering a mix of strategic planning, campaign and project management, budget responsibility and people management. You'll work across a wide range of channels — including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital — and partner closely with internal teams and external agencies to deliver impactful supporter journeys and excellent experiences. 

As Legacy Marketing Manager, you will: 

• Lead the delivery and implementation of the legacy and in-memory acquisition and stewardship programme across multiple channels. 

• Support the planning and development of the legacy and in-memory strategy, ensuring alignment with Barnardo's wider fundraising and organisational objectives. 

• Manage in-memory income and legacy/in-memory expenditure budgets, including planning, phasing, monitoring and reporting against KPIs. 

• Line manage and develop a team of Senior Legacy & In Memory Marketing Executives, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and high performance. 

• Project manage a portfolio of legacy and in-memory campaigns, ensuring delivery to time, budget and compliance standards. 

• Build strong internal relationships across Fundraising, Marketing, Digital, CRM & Insight and Children's Services to deliver integrated supporter journeys. 

• Work with and manage external suppliers and agencies, ensuring effective delivery, compliance and value for money.

You will have: 

• Substantial experience in legacy marketing, with a strong understanding of direct marketing and a proven track record of delivering successful campaigns. 

• Experience of managing budgets and using insight and performance data to inform future planning and optimisation. 

• Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. 

• Experience of managing, motivating and developing staff, ideally in a remote or hybrid setting. 

• Sound knowledge of fundraising best practice, compliance requirements, GDPR and data protection. 

• Excellent written communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.

About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Community Fundraiser to join our Community Fundraising team. Community is at the heart of Shooting Star Children’s Hospices, and our community fundraising team play a vital role in building relationships and raising funds across our community and catchment. As a Community Fundraiser you will enjoy working with people and supporting the community to maximise, they’re fundraising efforts for Shooting Star.

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices is a leading children’s hospice charity caring for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families. We support families across Surrey and London from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional and medical care.

As a key member of our Community Fundraising team, you will work closely with the Senior Public Fundraising Manager and Head of Supporter Engagement on new and existing fundraising activities, helping to maintain and develop existing relationships and work proactively to identify new contacts and opportunities for development. 

About you

This role requires experience in fundraising or relevant transferable skills gained from a comparable role. This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing team within a charity that makes a meaningful impact across our communities. We welcome applications from candidates with experience in fundraising, marketing or sales, as well as those who can demonstrate strong relationship management skills gained in other roles.

With strong customer service and administration skills, you will have the ability to work independently, while collaborating effectively as part of the wider fundraising team, to support the growth and success of our income.

This role involves attending events and meetings throughout the catchment area, some of which take place during evenings, early mornings or weekends. Any additional hours worked will be recognised through time off in lieu where appropriate, and reasonable travel expenses will be approved in line with our expenses policy.

While the post is based at our Hampton hospice, the role involves travelling regularly across Shooting Star Children’s Hospices’ catchment area, so a full UK driving licence and access to a car are essential.

We are seeking a Global Communications Lead to increase international media and recognition for Breathe Cities among city leaders, policymakers, and funders, owning a communications strategy that positions the initiative as the leading model for urban air quality action.

This a key role, shaping narrative and messaging, delivering impactful media and digital cut-through, and amplifying city-level communications in regional and global fora. 

You will be adept at translating complex evidence into clear, compelling messages, bring a strong global perspective, take editorial quality seriously, and be confident managing a communications team across a multi-partner initiative. 

This role requires someone who is well versed in managing communications teams and agencies, able to work confidently with senior leaders, city leadership and partners, and skilled at balancing pace with rigour in a multi-stakeholder environment. 

What We’re Looking For

• Senior communications experience (across philanthropy, international NGO, government/cities, or public interest communications).
• Exercises sound judgment and discretion with a strong understanding of how decisions get made in and around city government, and the ability to navigate complex, fast-moving stakeholder environments with diplomacy and good judgement.  
• Demonstrated experience leading and developing teams and managing agencies to deliver high-quality communications outcomes.
• Demonstrated experience working across complex, multi-stakeholder organisations and environments, with a track record of building strategic alignment and agile delivery mechanisms.
• Proven ability to advise senior leaders/spokespeople in high-stakes, reputation-sensitive contexts, including anticipating flashpoints and shaping messages that are accurate, credible and tailored across different audiences.
• Strong track record of shaping narratives and securing high-quality earned media coverage (features, comment, op-eds, spokesperson profiling).
• Excellent writing and editing skills across press materials, speeches/talking points and briefings.
• Strong judgement on risk, accuracy and credibility; calm under pressure and able to handle reactive moments.
• Proficient in using the latest Microsoft 365 tools, comfortable with cloud-based platforms like Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, adaptable to new ways of working, and an excellent understanding of basic cyber security and data protection hygiene.
