Through respite, time and space for reflection and compassionate and nurturing care, our Volunteer Befrienders and staff team support an opportunity for the revival of hope and resilience.

The Role and Responsibilities

The role of “The Director” is to lead the charity ‘hands-on’ in the delivery of its unique 24/7 crisis service, to be responsible for the charity’s business functions, and to build and sustain a culture of relationships with staff, volunteers, funders, and other stakeholders that exemplify Maytree’s values day to day.

A full-time position requiring visibility and some flexibility of hours to accommodate evening or weekend events, and occasional gaps in cover.

Responsibilities as "The Director" ;

• Report and be accountable to the Co-Chairs and Trustees.
• Collaborate with Co-Chairs in formulation of strategy and business plans/goals.
• Take ownership of the Maytree model as established by the Trustees, in collaboration with the staff team of Lead Befrienders.
• Responsible for delivery of the model including its culture and values, and for commitment and achievement of goals.
• Lead and manage the day-to-day operational team of “Lead Befrienders”, overseeing their responsibilities for referrals, assessments, and befriending of guests, and their guidance and support of Volunteer Befrienders. This includes oversight of reflective practice and professional supervision.
• Responsible for managing house administration, volunteer resources, fundraising, finance, IT support, media/external relations, and the recruitment of appropriate staff where necessary.

Essential

• Passionate commitment to and understanding of Maytree’s model, its vision, culture and values.

• Prior training in a mental health profession and/or significant experience as a volunteer working with/befriending the suicidal.

About the role

We are looking for an IT and Data Officer to join our central team, working in collaboration with our services which are our Independent Approved Premises (IAP). You will maintain and support our data systems and IT infrastructure across our services, responsible for managing CRM systems and supporting with first line IT queries which could include ticketing requests, troubleshooting, technical issues, and liaising with internal and external partners to ensure consistent and timely data reporting.

You will work across multiple projects to ensure performance metrics are accurately tracked and communicated, proactively identifying and addressing any data or system related issues. You will support with continuous improvement for the service and wider organisation.

About you

We're looking for someone who is passionate about IT and data, able to utilise this within a practical working environment. You will be confident in using various tools and software with transferrable skills. We're looking for someone who understands SIG and what we do as an organisation, with a judgement free mindset, and comfortable working within any of our services, able to build good professional relationships with our staff internally, our residents, and external partners. • Skills in data input, extraction, and reporting

ABOUT THE ROLE

This is a fantastic chance to join the Walk Wheel Cycle Trust, working within the Delivery Team team as our new Network Development Manager.

As the Network Development Manager, you will be required to oversee the planning, delivery, and evaluation of active travel infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and compliance standards. The role combines technical expertise, project leadership, community engagement, and strategic planning to enhance the National Cycle Network (NCN) and related infrastructure. You will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to deliver impactful, sustainable outcomes.

Some duties will include:

• Lead on the management of active travel infrastructure design and construction projects from concept through to construction /implementation and evaluation.
• Plan, organise and attend community engagement activities to ensure collaborative approach to projects.

As the Insights and Evaluation Advisor, you will lead and support evaluations that measure and communicate the impact of Admiral Nursing and wider Dementia UK initiatives. You will design and deliver robust evaluations using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, ensuring high standards of data quality, ethical practice and GDPR compliance.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity, you will provide expert advice on evaluation design, data collection and analysis, to develop datasets that drive evidence-based practice. In addition, you will support Admiral Nurses to build their evaluation skills, enabling them to measure and communicate the difference they make to families affected by dementia. By embedding insight into projects and services, you will help turn data into meaningful action, informing decisions, campaigns and improving outcomes across Dementia UK.

To succeed in this role, you will have a First Degree and demonstratable experience in a relevant discipline e.g. health research and evaluation, health service improvement, public health and social research. You will need strong evaluation, research and project management skills including advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Job Purpose

This role sits within our crisis alternative service, Safe Space, which is a core and out of hours service providing a safe and welcoming space for people who are feeling distressed and experiencing crisis. Our aim of the service is to keep individuals well in the community and prevent readmission into hospital. The service operates 365 days a year from 14:00-22:00pm across all of our boroughs.

Staff within the service will provide person-centred, practical and emotional support, face to face or via telephone or virtual on a one-to-one basis to individuals experiencing mental health crisis or preventing crisis.

The objectives of the service include:

• To improve the mental wellbeing of people experiencing mental health and social crisis in HFEH.
• To proactively work with keeping people well in the community to reduce re-admitters into hospitals by working with WL NHS teams (e.g. discharge, LPS, CATT, MINT and SPA)
• To provide a true alternative to A&E via a non-clinical drop-in service to support clients
• To provide support to clients accessing the service- for instance: signposting, de-escalation and crisis recovery planning.
• To contribute to an improvement in individual mental wellbeing.
• To remain a source of independent support for all clients.
• To treat service users with respect, dignity and personalised support
• To raise awareness of mental health services available with the goal to improve long term mental health and reduce social isolation
• To increase self-management skills of those accessing the service
• To reduce the use of police, ambulance and statutory mental health services whilst experiencing crisis via a drop-in service.
• To reduce the use of statutory crisis services by people experiencing mental ill health without positive outcomes for the individual.

The Role

The role of the team manager will be to support the rest of the team in delivering interventions on a one-to-one. The role will also involve triaging and assessing all clients accessing the service, signposting and delivering collaborative self-management plans with clients to improve mental wellbeing. The role will also include line management and supervision of senior support workers and support workers within the service. Team managers are responsible for management of their site; including report writing, audits and being the named manager for the site and allocated borough following the borough-based approach. This role directly supports the service managers in keeping to a high standard service. The role will include implementing a smooth running of the service including facilitating debriefing and providing senior support onsite. The role of the team manager is non-clinical.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing a person centred and recovery orientated approach in all aspects of the roles and responsibilities.

• Guiding the team, responding to referrals and planning each shift in terms of staffing, activities and case allocation

Person Specification

• Minimum of 1 year working in mental health services and with clients experiencing mental health distress and crisis

The Early Intervention Coordinator is a key role within the School Based Needs Service, working as part of the borough and district-based community teams, comprised of NHS staff and third sector workforce under the umbrella of The Surrey Wellbeing Partnership. This team will build support around schools offering a wide menu of services across a cluster of schools based on borough/district boundaries.

The role of the EIC is to deliver and support children and young people through one- to- one direct work, small group sessions and signposting to specialist services. These interventions will be delivered across a network of secondary schools in the Runnymede, Surrey Heath and Waverley areas.

Responsibilities 

1. Design, deliver and review evidence-based interventions for children and young people which aim to improve mental health and well-being and build on existing strengths

• Assess the needs and strengths of the referred young person and help them identify individual goals to achieve desired change (Goal Based Outcome Assessments).

• Manage own caseload of children and young people facing a wide range of issues, in both one to one and group settings, to address emerging needs and help build resilience, develop coping strategies and improve their mental health & wellbeing.

• Provide advice, guidance and signposting to young people and their families, that will connect them to resources that will support young people’s wellbeing.

• To operate at all times from an inclusive values base, which recognises and respects diversity and ensures all work is sensitive to a range of ethnic, cultural and religious groups, is gender sensitive and anti-discriminatory.

2. Develop and maintain relationships with key school staff in secondary schools and Schools Based Needs Team

• Work in close partnership and collaboratively with pastoral staff in school, Surrey Wellbeing Partners, Surrey and Borders NHS Partnership, Surrey Children’s Services, local Mental Health Support Teams and other community-based services to provide the most effective service for children, young people and families.

• Ensure that children and young people with more intensive support needs are put in touch with relevant Intensive Intervention services (whilst continuing to provide support until the intensive support is in place).

3. Impact, Monitoring Evaluation and Reporting

• Accurately record individual engagement and evidence of change using appropriate outcomes data to ensure support programmes can be accurately monitored and evaluated. 

• To collect and share case studies that demonstrate good practice and the impact of interventions on outcomes for children and young people.

• Work with colleagues and line manager to ensure that your work is aligned to organisational strategy, key objectives and annual plans and budgets.

4. Personal Development/Other Duties 

• Keep up to date with good practice, legislation and policies that have an impact on service delivery at Eikon

• Work within Eikon’s internal policies, safeguarding, health and safety, and data protection regulations

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Insights and Evaluation team at Dementia UK in a pivotal role that promotes a culture of learning and evaluation across the charity.

As the Insights and Evaluation Advisor, you will lead and support evaluations that measure and communicate the impact of Admiral Nursing and wider Dementia UK initiatives. You will design and deliver robust evaluations using both quantitative and qualitative methodologies, ensuring high standards of data quality, ethical practice and GDPR compliance.

Working collaboratively with colleagues across the charity, you will provide expert advice on evaluation design, data collection and analysis, to develop datasets that drive evidence-based practice. In addition, you will support Admiral Nurses to build their evaluation skills, enabling them to measure and communicate the difference they make to families affected by dementia. By embedding insight into projects and services, you will help turn data into meaningful action, informing decisions, campaigns and improving outcomes across Dementia UK.

To succeed in this role, you will have a First Degree and demonstratable experience in a relevant discipline e.g. health research and evaluation, health service improvement, public health and social research. You will need strong evaluation, research and project management skills including advanced quantitative and qualitative data analysis.

Additionally, you should be confident working independently and collaboratively, with the ability to influence and advise colleagues at all levels.

We are seeking a creative and proactive Communications and Marketing Coordinator to play a pivotal role in telling Theatres Trust’s story, and the stories of the theatres we support, to a wider audience.

Working with the Head of Communications and Marketing, you will support the development and delivery of Theatres Trust’s communications strategy and contribute to embedding our brand and tone of voice across all our communications. A central part of the role will be working with our sector specialists to turn complex, detailed and technical information into compelling case studies to promote our services and highlight our impact to key stakeholders across the theatre sector and beyond.

You will be responsible for producing two of Theatres Trust’s key communications products: Theatres Magazine, our digital publication for supporters, and NewsDigest, our monthly e-newsletter, as well as helping to develop our social and digital channels. There will also be the opportunity for you to take the lead on the full communications lifecycle of specific projects such as grant programmes and events.

For someone with a passion for the power of words and a strong eye for design, this is an interesting and varied role, offering the scope to develop and enhance your skills across the full range of communications and marketing disciplines.
