About the Communications & Fundraising Coordinator role
Our Communications and Engagement team promotes our vibrant neighbourhood and the impact of our work across South Bank, and supports fundraising through storytelling, engagement, and campaigns that inspire support. The Communications and Fundraising Co-ordinator will provide support to the communications team by creating engaging content for a range of audiences both internally and externally and supporting our fundraising campaigns and projects.
As our new Communications & Fundraising Coordinator, you will

Support communications, marketing, and fundraising plans to boost awareness and engagement in Coin Street’s work campaigns.

Build positive relationships with stakeholders and the public through engaging content (e.g. newsletters, social media, web, and print).

Assist with design and production of creative materials (e.g. posters, flyers, and booklets).

Help with fundraising and partnerships by researching opportunities, preparing applications, maintaining records, and providing admin support.

Contribute to planning and promoting fundraising and volunteering initiatives, creating content and strengthening relationships.
To be successful you will need to demonstrate the following

Experience in marketing, communications, PR, fundraising, or bid writing.

Strong copywriting and content creation skills, including social media.

Knowledge of social media platforms, experience in fundraising or charity income generation, and skills in design or video editing using tools like Canva, InDesign, or similar are desirable but not essential.

What does this role do?
As a Legacy Administrator you will:
- Process incoming legacy notifications, involving managing post, opening new files on the First Class 4 database, and accurately inputting data from solicitors and Smee & Ford notification reports.

This could include ensuring that medication is arranged from the hospital pharmacy, someone is at home to greet them, food and heating are available, and the condition of the home is safe to return to. You may be required to liaise with Adult Social Care and other home providers to coordinate home support. You’ll follow up on calls or visits to ensure the patient is managing well at home. By providing the proper support, patients can be discharged sooner, and the risk of readmission is significantly reduced.

- Has experience working with vulnerable adults in social care, healthcare, or the community/voluntary sector

About the Role
The Cook & Domestic Assistant will be responsible for a range of domestic duties within the home in order to maintain the house to a high standard of cleanliness, and providing healthy, varied and well-presented meals which is representative of the service user group. To provide training in basic cooking skills to our children, providing them with opportunities to help out in the kitchen when appropriate. Encouraging them to build up their confidence and experience in basic cooking skills
Main aspects of the Role will be:
- Timely preparation of meals, including preparing an after school snack and evening meal for all residents in the home.
- To make adequate use of leftovers and basic foods, while also providing food for special dietary needs as well as providing meals which reflect different cultural and ethnic backgrounds. Ensuring a nutritional balanced diet is provided.
- To help and encourage children to participate and learn about healthy eating and the presentation and preparation of meals.
- To complete opening and closing checks in the kitchen and keep the Food Safety Management book up to date on a daily basis.
- To clean designated areas of the home using appropriate equipment and products to ensure they are clean and hygienic.
- To report any defects or breakages to the Home Manager or other designated staff, and contact relevant contractors as directed by the Home Manager.
- To ensure the COSSH file is fully updates and copies of data on all cleaning products used in the home are on file.

The Latin American Women’s Rights Service (LAWRS) is a human rights, feminist organisation led by and for Latin American migrant women in the UK. Our work is dedicated to supporting the immediate and long-term needs of Latin American migrant women exposed to violations of their fundamental human rights; facing violence against women and girls, exploitation or trafficking; enduring difficult living and working conditions in low paid jobs and facing barriers to social protection. We strive to provide essential tools for women to empower themselves in their pursuit of personal and social change.
The post holder will join our Counselling and Psychotherapy team, providing emotional support sessions, clinical assessments and one-to-one short term therapy to Latin American women; delivering group work activities and psychoeducational workshops; and dealing with internal and external referrals, working closely with other teams at LAWRS and external agencies.

What the job involves
Prostate cancer is the most common cancer in men and it’s harming too many lives. At Prostate Cancer UK, one of our top priorities is funding research that leads to real change. It’s vital we do our best to make sure this research makes a meaningful difference to men’s lives, and that’s where you come in.
We’re looking for an enthusiastic and proactive Senior Research Officer to help us deliver our funding schemes and patient and public involvement work. This role sits in the Research Funding Team and will provide us with additional support during an exciting time while we implement a new grants management system. You’ll work across all our grant funding schemes, ensuring we are following best practise in research funding.
You’ll take responsibility for a small portfolio of active research grants, providing support and guidance to the researchers leading them. You’ll be a main point of contact for grant applicants, supporting them as they apply to us and will be responsible for running peer review. Using your understanding of research funding and administration, you’ll help make sure our funding schemes run smoothly and to time. You’ll work with colleagues to support patient and public involvement in research both in our review process and through our Patient Representative Network who help researchers make sure their work is focussed on the needs of men with prostate cancer.
This role is a fixed term to cover an internal secondment for 12 months.
What we want from you
We’re looking for a Senior Research Officer who is passionate about research and has a desire to develop knowledge of prostate cancer. You’ll hold a biomedical degree (or a degree in a related subject), or with equivalent experience gained in research funding, administration or the wider research sector.
You’ll already have a good grasp of how grant funding works and, ideally, some experience of research administration and peer review. Confidence in interpreting complex scientific information is important, as you’ll be using this knowledge to find the right people to peer review the grant applications that are submitted to our schemes.
You're also an accurate record keeper with a keen eye for detail and excellent time management skills. You're assured and clear in your communication, both written and verbal, and you're able to respond to a wide range of inquiries from researchers while always adhering to data protection and confidentiality best practices. Experience of using Symplectic’s Grant Tracker would be an advantage but is not essential.
