About the role:

Our Women’s Respite is a vital service that provides safety, stability, and support for women with complex needs – from those escaping domestic abuse to those facing homelessness, mental health challenges, substance use, and trauma. 

As a Specialist Complex Needs Worker, you will play a pivotal role in transforming the lives of women who have experienced violence against women and girls (VAWG). Working within our accommodation service, you will support clients facing multiple disadvantage, ranging from complex needs to medium and lower levels of support, always tailoring your approach to each individual. This is a role where gender-informed and trauma-informed practice is at the heart of everything you do, ensuring that each client is met with understanding, dignity and a pathway towards safety and stability. You will work closely with external partners and attend multi-agency forums such as MARAC, helping to reduce harm, open up opportunities and ensure every woman feels safe enough to take their next step forward.

Your days will be as varied as they are impactful, one moment you may be facilitating a conversation to encourage engagement in training or education, the next you could be connecting someone with specialist mental health or substance use services, arranging access to primary healthcare or building confidence through meaningful activities within the hostel. Every interaction is an opportunity to empower clients to sustain their accommodation, improve wellbeing, strengthen community connections and move towards independence.

• Experience supporting women with complex needs, including those who have experienced VAWG, homelessness, mental health issues, or substance use.

Sounds great, what will I be doing?

This role involves working within a multidisciplinary NHS team to support adults with moderate to severe mental illness by holding a caseload of service users and serving as their key contact throughout care planning, progress monitoring, and discharge, using the RiO system. The post-holder collaborates with individuals to develop person-centred recovery plans focused on social goals and community integration, building therapeutic relationships through trauma-informed, strength-based approaches. They support access to local resources, appointments, wellbeing activities, and peer or psychoeducational groups, while promoting recovery-focused, jargon-free communication and advocating for co-production and integrated care. Liaising with statutory and voluntary organisations ensures smooth service navigation and warm handovers, while active participation in clinical meetings and community events helps represent both Hestia and the Community Mental Health Team. A small membership / not for profit organisation of just circa 30 employees are seeking 6 months cover from early September whilst thier Credit and Finance Manager takes maternity leave.  They expect the post to be for 6 months commencing on 8th September to allow for a handover with the current post-holder.

The current post-holder works 30 hours per week, 4 days a week so can offer this contract on the same agreement or, they are also open to full time hours of 7.5 hours per day / 37.5 hours per week if preferred.  You will need to come into the office near Bloomsbury Square 2-3 days per week.

You will join a small, very friendly, helpful and social team working in an open plan office within a listed building.  It's a great working environment with a roof terrace and plenty of nearby eateries.  This is a standalone finance role as they outsource the finance to an external management finance team.

Reporting into the COO, your duties will include:

• To manage and pursue all debt position
• Reconcile the information which comes out of their MS Dynamics based CRM system (which generates the sales ledger) 
• Ensure the finance and reconciliations process with Xero is done correctly
• Raising invoices manually on CRM system
• Run reports and chase debtors
• Ensure the crucial link between the CRM and Xero is working correctly 
• Liaising with the out-sourced management finance team

Essential experience for this post will include:

• Experience of the above duties - invoices / reconcilliations / debt chasing
• CRM experience – preferably MS Dynamics
• Finance package – preferably Xero
• Clear communicator with confidence to chase debt
• Ideally you will need to understand Membership pipeline and working between Dynamics and Xero to help with prompt payments and retention.

This role will be responsible for managing a small team and overseeing budget of £600k and an income target of £240k. With a varied legacy marketing programme, this role will focus on both the acquisition and retention of legacy supporters and work across a range of channels including direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV, digital, events, and Free Will products.

The successful candidate will have proven experience within legacy marketing and have a strong understanding of direct marketing across a range of audiences. They will be confident in planning, delivering, and evaluating legacy marketing campaigns, and be able to make strategic decisions based on audience insights. Ideally, this person will have previous line management experience and have managed project budgets and expenditures.

Location is flexible, but the team often meet in the London offices monthly. The salary for this role is £43,657 to £56,130.
