About this key role
The main focus for our successful candidate will be to oversee the effective development and delivery of all aspects of the service, including coordinating rescues, developing and maintaining processes around rescue and other referrals, monitoring, rota systems, producing reports and providing daily support to the team.  As well as providing effective line management of the team, we will rely on you to provide advice, guidance and support to staff on safeguarding matters as well as ensuring robust risk assessments and strengths-based needs assessments are completed with safeguarding as the priority.

Developing and maintaining relationships with VESS partners and other internal and external stakeholders and further expanding the service through continued promotion of the service to partners and external services is a key element of this role, as is supporting the team to effectively manage caseloads and completing comprehensive risk and needs assessments for young people accessing the service.

What we are looking for

• Extensive experience of addressing safeguarding issues and managing risk with children, young people and adults who are experiencing of violence or exploitation and supporting teams to do the same
• Substantial experience in working in a leadership role as part of a multi-agency team to deliver a service and achieve positive outcomes for young people
•  A thorough understanding of the physical, social, emotional and developmental needs of children and young people
• Sound knowledge of the issues faced by young people such as exploitation, victimisation, offending, school exclusion, unemployment, trauma
• Relevant qualification in youth work, social work, social sciences, education or another relevant field or demonstrable equivalent experience
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal

The Head of Media is responsible for the Spokesperson Network and helping people in NEON’s networks make the most of media opportunities. They lead on strategy, developing high-level media contacts and managing staff associated with the programme. 

You will be someone who knows how to land stories and spokespeople in the media, capitalising on media and movement moments to push the conversation in a progressive direction. You’ll have a track record of jumping on opportunities, training spokespeople to deal with hostile interviews and staying calm under pressure. What the job involves

We have an opportunity for a Senior Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Officer to join our Strategic Communications, Campaigns and Brand team. You’ll work closely with the Strategic Communications (Campaigns) Manager to successfully plan and deliver major strategic campaigns and key brand moments, taking the lead on day-to-day project management to keep everything coordinated and running smoothly.

Collaboration is a big part of this role.  Working closely with colleagues across the organisation, you’ll help shape high-impact content marketing strategies and integrate key messages across the organisation. You’ll also support the development of creative content for key partnerships and campaigns, ensuring content aligns with our brand and campaign objectives.

Familiarity with project management tools such as Jira, and an understanding of agile, iterative, and waterfall methodologies is essential.

Experience with Salesforce or similar platforms is highly valued, along with a strong track record in managing procurement, budgets, and coordinating contractors or agencies. You’ll also bring sharp risk assessment skills, a solid grasp of governance reporting, and the confidence to manage a wide range of internal and external stakeholders effectively. Most importantly, you’ll understand the aims and values of the RCSLT and demonstrate the ability to embed these into your work and strategic approach.

At Single Homeless Project (SHP), this is more than a Volunteer Coordinator role – it’s a unique opportunity to shape powerful experiences that connect people, build lasting partnerships, and directly support life-changing services across London. You’ll join a lively, ambitious Fundraising team in Kings Cross where ideas are valued, and growth is part of the journey. Working alongside the Corporate Partnerships Lead, your mission will be to design and deliver inspiring volunteering opportunities with businesses and community groups that bring practical help, donations and fresh energy to our programmes.

This is a role that blends creativity, coordination and relationship-building – one day you might be planning an engaging volunteering event in a hostel, the next you're developing a new collaboration with a local company, all while working closely with teams across SHP to make sure every opportunity adds real value.
