Beat is recruiting a Helpline Advisor to support the team in responding to the significant demand from those affected by eating disorders. Working as part of the Helpline team, the Helpline adviser’s role is to ensure that incoming contacts from our beneficiaries receive high quality, timely support when they need it.

The role will be busy and varied, and each shift will involve responding to contacts across Beat’s different support channels including telephone, webchat, email, social media, and facilitating daily online peer support groups. The Helpline Advisor will work closely alongside the Helpline team who are currently all based remotely. This includes Senior Helpline Advisors, Digital Helpline Volunteers, the Deputy Helpline Manager, and the Helpline Manager. Beat are receiving more contacts than ever before, this is an opportunity to make a difference to the lives of each and every person that gets in touch, this includes sufferers, family, friends, supporters and more.

What experience and track record do you have?

• Education and/or teaching: Knowing how the MAT and schools system works is a must. Knowing who does what PPM role in schools will help bring the right people in the right conversations and the right time. Knowing and understanding the kinds of problems and types of conversations school leaders and teachers is also essential for this role

• Conference production: researching topics, inviting and booking speakers, crafting promotional materials, shouting loudly and proudly about the events and filling up spaces.

• Project management: Planning, tracking and delivering on project objectives across several workflows on time, every time. Managing multiple audiences who are likely to be at different stages of their engagement cycle.

• Customer Relationship Management: designing, building and automating CRMs including sales pipeline design and management eg Hubspot and Airtable

• Copywriting (and digital marketing and email workflow design): designing and writing posts and emails that convert - whether than be speaker invitations, promotional posts or conference onboarding emails.

The Fundraising Support Officer will be supporting both Special Events and Community Fundraising.  You will be the go-to person for administrative and logistical support, keeping projects on track, ensuring communications reach our supporters and volunteers on time, and managing key event platforms. About the Role 

The Content Creator will play a vital role in helping Urban Saints communicate with clarity, creativity, and consistency across all platforms. From video editing and creating social media graphics, to designing resources, brochures, or branded assets, this role is responsible for creating visually engaging content that amplifies our message and inspires action.

You'll be responsible for:

• Designing and producing compelling visual content across digital and print formats.
• Filming and editing videos for campaigns, training materials and resources.
• Managing and editing visual assets, including team-supplied images.
• Contributing ideas and visual concepts to support campaigns and storytelling.
• Acting as a brand guardian for visual content, ensuring consistency across all channels.
• Working closely with other members of the Communications team to deliver content for campaigns, training, and wider initiatives.

Please note, this is predominantly a remote role, but with travel as the role requires. All full-time Urban Saints employees are required to attend two team residentials per year (3 days/ 2 nights each).

About You

You'll shape and deliver high-quality content that supports campaigns, promotes our training and resources, and strengthens Urban Saints’ brand both online and in print.

Key Skills and Experience:

• Strong design and video editing skills across digital and print formats.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and video editing software (Premiere Pro, Final Cut etc)
• Confident in video production – from filming to postproduction.
• Ability to develop content for a range of platforms including social media, web, email, and YouTube.
• Strong attention to detail and visual consistency.
• Proven experience in a content creation, multimedia, or graphic design role.
• Experience creating visual content as part of multi-channel campaigns (e.g. email, social media, website etc).
• Experience working with brand guidelines and visual identities.
• Understanding of digital content trends, platform specifications, and audience behaviour.

Recruitment and Learning & Development (L&D)

• Coordinate and drive learning and development initiatives across the organisation, ensuring Action Tutoring's L&D approach and action plan are effectively implemented and collaboratively supported.

Diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI)

• Work with the Senior Management Team to implement the DEI strategy and action plan.

Person specification

Qualification criteria

• The right to work in the UK.
• CIPD level 5 certificate or equivalent experience
• At least two years' experience holding HR responsibilities.

We are looking for some of the following attributes, though you might be more experienced in some areas than others:

• Strong knowledge of HR processes, policies, procedures, employment law, and best practices. You'll be up-to-date with current regulations.
• Knowledge of safeguarding, and understanding of why it is critical to Action Tutoring and a proven ability to ensure processes are correctly followed and appropriately escalated.

• Strong experience of building successful internal and external relationships. 

• Solid organisational skills to ensure fundraising activities are planned, implemented, and completed to the highest standards. 

• Creativity to generate innovative ways to support partners and fundraisers, fostering long-term supporter relationships. 

• Experience of financial budgeting and reporting.

You will be joining a friendly and face paced fundraising team to identify, support and retain regional supporters. You will be responsible for

*You'll be generating a strong network of community and corporate supporters to secure sustainable income for the charity. You'll also be building a pipeline of prospects of community and corporate to ensure future support.

About you

To be successful in this role you must have

*Demonstrable knowledge of what it takes to proactively identify, develop, and cultivate supporters to maximise income and deliver against KPIs, objectives and the Community Team business plan.

*A good knowledge of the fundraising landscape and opportunities in the UK
*Experience of building and account managing/stewarding a personal portfolio of high value supporters & corporate partners, volunteers and in aid of events to achieve your financial target.
