They are seeking an internal communications officer to join their Communications team. This is a new role, where your communications skills will make a significant impact. Key Accountabilities:

Essential skills/Experience/Qualifications

With the ultimate objective being to grow SSAFA’s presence, profile, and identity, the role is responsible for all marcomms activation in the region. The role holder will work to deliver the central Fundraising, Marketing & Communications strategy.

This role reports to the Senior Storytelling Manager with close alignment with colleagues across the marcomms directorate. The marcomms manager will be responsible for managing marketing campaigns in the South East and London Region of England and promoting SSAFA’s fundraising initiatives and services. You’ll identify the areas of greatest impact and cut through, deliver integrated awareness campaigns and secure media coverage of fundraising events. Crucially, you’ll be able to identify stories which resonate with our target audience and write calls to action.

With a heavy focus on media and PR activity, key to the role is building strong relationships and contacts with relevant stakeholders in your region including media representatives, employees, volunteers, and case study beneficiaries.

About the team

This group of residents is often unaware of what services are out there to help them, where they are located, and how they access them.

This new role has been created to outreach and engage with private renters in the 2 wards specified and it will also include information production, dissemination and project management work. The worker will set up the project and is the key person in ensuring the smooth delivery of it in line with its stated aims and objectives.

Please note: You will need to be based in/around London for this role as it involves work within specific locations in the London Borough of Camden and is not suitable for home working or long distance travelling.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Head of Operations and working collaboratively with the Partnerships Project Manager, the Programme Delivery Officer will play a crucial role in the day-to-day programme management of the organisation’s programmes and partnership delivery.

The Early Intervention Practitioners will provide preventative, early intervention support to children, young people and their families in primary schools in Runnymede, Waverley and Surrey Heath, through delivering a range of evidence-based interventions to enable each young person to realise their potential, cope with the normal stresses of life, work productively and fruitfully within their school, and make a positive contribution within their community.

We are recruiting for Floating Support Worker who will support the Ascent Pan London Service in building sustainable referral pathways and joint working protocols with a range of partners working with survivors of domestic abuse

You will provide capacity-building in the form of advice, advocacy, support, and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities. 

It is desirable for candidates to be proficient in one or more Eastern European languages.

You will have proven experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to women as well as up-to-date knowledge of legislation relating to survivors of gender-based violence. You will have excellent casework skills, good written and verbal communication skills, clear professional boundaries and be a proactive team player. All candidates must demonstrate a commitment to the feminist values of empowerment and equality which underpin all of our work. 

The post holder will provide a high-quality personal welfare support service to Eastern European survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse and their children. The post holder will empower Eastern European survivors by providing them with emotional and practical support, including support to access safe accommodation. 

The post holder will provide capacity building in the form of advice, advocacy, support and briefings across the London boroughs to statutory agencies and community organizations around the needs of Eastern European domestic abuse survivors, to embed best practice across our communities.

• On-the-day supervision to our paid and voluntary staff across various workstreams.
• Conducting case review of debt issues (supported by our Quality of Advice and Case Review team) to ensure a gold standard in the quality of our advice.
• Playing a leadership role in nurturing partnerships, such as with council officers and specialist debt charities, to support our debt advice work and create pathways for client solutions.
• Shaping our directory of services for debt advice by supporting our leadership team to identify key areas of debt advice, desired client outcomes, and the steps required to resolve those client issues.
• Design and deliver training on debt issues to both paid and voluntary staff, as well as to community stakeholders.
• Supervise and monitor volunteers carrying out a small amount of casework where the client’s issue is of sufficient complexity to warrant engaging your expertise.
• Guaranteeing compliance with Financial Conduct Authority rules and regulations.
• Leading on research and campaign issues relating to debt and identifying where we can make a difference locally through our advocacy and case studies.

We are looking for a brilliant Senior Creative to join our marketing and comms team for a 12-month fixed-term contract. You will be familiar with creating high quality printed and digital communications that inspire, motivate and meet the needs of the audience.

The focus of this role is to create and develop engaging marketing materials, from concept to delivery. You will be organised and manage your own workflow effectively delivering to required deadlines. 

• Play an integral part in the design process from conceptualising ideas to final development

• Collaborate with the marketing, PR, digital and Charity colleagues to create engaging designs

• Provide strategic brand guidance and creative direction across the organisation 

• Run design clinics and share insights and on best practice 

• Line managing the Charity Designer

Key Responsibilities for this role

• Through partnership, support and develop client’s skills, confidence and interests as part of a multi-disciplinary service offer. 
• To support your colleagues, team leaders, service managers, volunteers and other key professionals to put those using our services at the centre of your daily work. 
• To support the planning and delivery of garden-based activities and therapeutic interventions for adults with complex needs.

Our Adventure Playground Manager plays an integral role within our Children, Young People and Families team, supporting our Head of Service to create inspiring, high quality and child focused youth and play services. The work of the Children, Young People and Families team is diverse, and service includes after-school and weekend adventure play, school play sessions, mentoring, holiday activities and youth leadership programmes.

Tulse Hill Adventure Playground is at the centre of our Children, Young People and Families service, and you will have solid experience working in an Adventure Playground, or similar outdoor setting, as you will hold managerial responsibility of the site and resources ensuring that the environment meets the needs of all the children who use it and to enable children to obtain the full benefit of the playground and its facilities.

As a strong and inspiring manager you will lead a team of play practitioners to deliver a range of dynamic, exciting, and meaningful services, ensuring the children who need them most are supported to play, develop, and thrive. You will take both an ambitious, organised, yet hands on approach to your management of the service - we are a small but dynamic team and truly believe services are best when all are involved, from management to practitioners. You will bring enthusiasm and passion to ensure an exceptional service for the children and young people we work with.

You will champion the role that adventure play services play in supporting children and young people to thrive and be an advocate for partnership working, building relationships with parents, schools and other local organisations, to maximise use of the Adventure Playground and the range of services we provide. A strong understanding of how the service sits within the wider work of the organisation and building strong relationships internally and externally is essential to the role.

You will be joining the organisation at a very exciting time as we are just about to undertake a large scale rebuild of the outdoor adventure play structures which will be completed this summer - creating a new and exciting environment for children and young people to play. This will include a range of challenging play structures, a wildlife garden, growing area and outdoor kitchen, along with a small animal enclosure.

We are a volunteer-run, non-profit Community Interest Company (CIC) looking to hire an Operations Lead on a 6-month contract with a view to becoming our first permanent, employed member of staff.

A unique opportunity – about the role

This is a very expansive role, requiring a highly capable, dynamic, organised and self-motivated individual. 

As part of this role, you will:

Manage day-to-day app activity

• Review and manage business ‘offers’ and charity ‘needs’

• Provide the first response to inbound enquiries and support questions

• Verify eligibility of new charity sign-ups

• Process premium business account purchases and renewals

Support regional volunteer teams

• Onboard and train new volunteers

• Coordinate volunteer activity across the regional teams

Support ad-hoc projects, for example:

How we work

This is a part-time role, but in order to support daily activity on the app, we require someone who can be flexible and spread their working hours across a five-day week.

We are a *fully-remote* organisation, meeting regularly on video calls and using messaging (Google Chat) day-to-day. We love to get together for events when we can.
