About the Role

As People Operations Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day operations of the People & Culture team. You'll drive continuous improvement, support recruitment and payroll processes, and ensure HR systems and data are accurate and effective. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, line managers, and cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless and engaging employee experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the operational delivery of people services, including managing Sage People (HRIS)

  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly payroll in collaboration with the People Team Executive

  • Oversee recruitment processes, supporting hiring managers and ensuring onboarding compliance

  • Maintain up-to-date, user-friendly HR policies and procedures

  • Create and manage data dashboards using Power BI for actionable insights

  • Support volunteer and employee processes with a focus on compliance and experience

  • Produce monthly reports for the senior leadership team

  • Monitor staff engagement and employee experience across the organisation

  • Continuously identify opportunities for automation and operational efficiency

  • Line management duties

About You

  • Proven experience in HR operations or People Team leadership

  • Strong project and process management skills

  • Working knowledge of HRIS platforms (ideally Sage People)

  • Proficiency in Power BI or similar reporting tools

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

  • Knowledge of employment law, GDPR, and best-practice HR policies

Why Join?

  • Be part of a purpose-driven team committed to an excellent employee experience

  • Play a key role in shaping the future of our people operations

  • Work in a flexible, values-led environment

  • Access ongoing professional development opportunities
