• Location: East or Midlands based, either home based or in Headway UK’s office in Nottingham.
• Salary: £35,000 FTE (pro rata for 21 hours per week) (days are flexible, but the working pattern would ideally include either Tuesday or Friday for service coverage).

Headway UK developed the Approved Provider Scheme in 2011, which is a voluntary standards-based accreditation, for rehabilitation and residential units for people with a brain injury and we are looking for a new part time team member.

By participating in the scheme Approved Provider units affirm their dedication to excellent care, operational efficiency, and continuous improvement. The accreditation of units is then published for families, individuals and professionals to help inform their choices when identifying suitable provision for brain injury survivors. Our accreditation process is designed to be collaborative and supportive, guiding units through every step towards achieving and maintaining exemplary service standards.

The role will involve, conducting and writing assessments and working with the Approved Provider and Training Manager to manage Lead Assessors, who are based around the UK and the Service User Perspective Assessors, who are either brain injury survivors, or family members/ carers.

What you will do:

• Conduct Approved Provider assessments, which includes going into brain injury residential units and assessing the services they provide and making recommendations, to improve practice against the framework.
• Writing and reviewing reports for Approved Provider units, following assessments, that clearly highlight strengths and areas for development.
• Contributing to the development and growth of Headway UK’s Approved Provider scheme, by continuing to drive forward standards and onboarding new units.
• Working with freelance Lead Assessors and Service User Perspective Assessors (who are brain injury survivors or family members) who are based around the UK, to organise assessments and ensure the schemes standards are upheld.

About you

• Prior experience of working in the field of acquired brain injury.
• Relevant professional qualification (e.g. occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, clinical psychology, physiotherapy, nursing, social work).

• Very good IT skills, including be proficient in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and Teams).
• Ability to gain the trust, confidence, and respect at all levels within external organisations and staff groups.
• Be an excellent communicator, with new and existing Approved Provider units.

Want to work with multiple award-winning charity, FoodCycle? As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run community meals using surplus food.​

You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.​

About the role

The Regional Communications Officer role is an exciting and varied opportunity to work with Emmaus communities across the South of the UK, helping to raise their profile and engage supporters.

You will work closely with up to four Emmaus communities to identify their communications needs and deliver a mix of activity to help them achieve their goals. As part of a wider team, you will also share ideas and build on each other’s experience to maximise PR, digital and communications opportunities.

This is a hybrid role, offering the flexibility to work from home or from within an Emmaus community.

Building and maintaining strong relationships with a wide range of stakeholders will be key to this role. Regular travel to your allocated communities is essential, typically at least once a week. This will initially be Emmaus Norfolk & Waveney, Emmaus Colchester and Emmaus Suffolk, so we are looking for a candidate based in Norwich, Colchester, Ipswich or the surrounding areas. For over 15 years, Scotty's Little Soldiers has been supporting children and young people who have been bereaved of a parent who served in the British Armed Forces.  We are about to embark on an exciting journey which will see the charity evolve to support anyone affected by a military-connected bereavement and ultimately empower a community of more than 25,000 bereaved individuals and their families by 2035. 

Founded in 2010 by Nikki Scott following the death of her husband, Corporal Lee Scott, the charity currently offers a unique blend of emotional, practical, and educational support to over 750 young people.

Role Mission. 

To ensure that Scotty’s understands and demonstrates the impact of its work — through high-quality research, meaningful measurement, and clear reporting. You will lead the development of internal and external research projects, manage beneficiary insight gathering, and oversee the systems and frameworks we use to evaluate and share our effectiveness.  

This role is central to helping us improve what we do and explain why it matters and ensuring that lived experience remains at the heart of everything we do.  

The key responsibilities of this role are:  

Impact Measurement  

• Develop and maintain frameworks to measure the outcomes of all services and programmes.  

• Ensure Success Measures (KPIs) and qualitative feedback tools are aligned to our Theory of Change.  

• Work with the Families (service delivery) team to embed consistent and meaningful data collection across all services.  

• Design simple, automated reporting processes to reduce manual admin and improve data use, making effective use of Scotty’s CRM.  

Research & Insight  

• Lead internal research projects using beneficiary data, surveys, and feedback loops.  

• Scope and manage external research partnerships with academic institutions or sector bodies.  

• Design and deliver surveys to beneficiaries and the wider bereaved military community  

• Produce evidence to support service development, strategic decisions, influence national policy, and funding bids.  

• Lead our existing advisory group (for children and young people) and establish new groups as required (e.g. for adult services).  

• Ensure that lived experience remains at the heart of the charity’s focus on understanding the need.  

• Ensure that Scotty’s have access to the most up to date research within the bereavement, military, Children & Young People and Family Support sectors. 

Communication of Impact  

• Create clear, accessible insight reports and data summaries for internal and external use  

• Lead the delivery of the annual Impact Report (content, structure, coordination with teams).  

• Develop quarterly insight packs for funders and stakeholders, with engaging visuals and stories.  

• Work with the Outreach Squad to ensure impact is integrated into campaigns and storytelling.  

Learning & Collaboration  

• Act as the internal ‘voice of insight’ – bringing beneficiary perspective and data into key conversations.  

• Contribute to team training on evaluation, feedback collection, and outcomes thinking.  

• Participate in cross-functional planning, especially with the Service Delivery and Outreach Squads.  

Policy (Light Touch)  

• Track key developments in bereavement, the Armed Forces, and children, young people and families policy  

• Produce brief summaries or ‘position snapshots’ where relevant to Scotty’s mission  

• Build relationships with other research and impact professionals in the sector  

The 30-day goals for this role are: 

• Build a deep understanding of Scotty’s mission, our audience, the services we provide, and strategic direction. 

• Develop a deep understanding of our current Success Measures, Impact measurements and Theory of Change.  

• Reviewing research and data produced by the charity and related external research previously published.  

• Understand the data structure and reporting capabilities of Salesforce (CRM).  

• Understand existing commitments (e.g. funder report, impact reports etc).  

• Taken ownership of our 2026 Community-wide survey (project will be handed over upon start).  

The 60-day goals for this role are: 

• Audit current data quality and gaps across the F-Team Programmes.  

• Worked with the Families Team to develop the first adult lived experience advisory group.   

• Reached out to relevant impact and research groups to introduce yourself, particularly those attached the military or bereavement charitable sectors.  

• Identified 1-2 relevant conferences or forums for Scotty’s to present at.  

• Build ideas, working with the Head of Service, that can help teams improve current Success Measures and Impact measurements. 

The 90-day goals for this role are: 

• Held at least 1 adult lived experience advisory group session.  

• Created and shared the first quarterly Impact Review for internal use.   

• Fully taken accountability for impact reporting and research projects within the charity and able to demonstrate a clear plan of action for the rest of the year.  

• Proposed an outline for the Annual Family Feedback Survey in September.  

• Start to co-ordinate the 2026 Impact Report 

About You 

Must-Have  

Proven experience in research and impact evaluation, ideally in the charity or public sector

About the Role

We are seeking an individual to undertake the dual role of promoting the profile of the RAF Benevolent Funds welfare offer, whilst also carrying out welfare casework. This is a community-based position working from home but covering South Central Scotland.

You will be expected to work with individuals who may have complex and sometimes challenging welfare needs, assisting them by identifying appropriate support from within both the RAF Benevolent Fund and the wider statutory and military charity sector, ensuring that support is made available to meet their need through the case working process.

The successful candidate will have experience of working in a social welfare role supporting individuals and will have strong people and relationship-building skills, as well as empathy with or understanding of issues affecting the Armed Forces community.

This is home based and the candidate must have their own vehicle for use of traveling around the region covered. Occasional travel to London will be required.

Job Context and Special Features

This role is a key senior management position within Humanimal Trust, with responsibility for ensuring that strategy is translated into effective delivery, that the operational team is supported to perform at its best, and that the Trust operates with strong governance, compliance and financial control.

This is a one-year fixed term appointment for a 28-hour (3.5 day) working week, starting at the earliest opportunity.  The role is home-based in the UK, with occasional travel to other locations in the country.

The Navigators is a Christian discipleshp charity working across the UK. We are seeking an organised and proactive Events Executive to provide maternity cover and lead the delivery of our key external events, including the National Conference and launch of our Alongside course.

The Role

Reporting to the Head of Regional Fundraising this is an exciting role leading our ambitious vision for this area of our team. Worth currently over £2m annually we are looking to grow our income from third party and owned products and events.
