Job description

Join a charity with deep roots, a powerful mission, and a genuine commitment to changing young lives.
At The Shewsy, we’re looking for a hands‑on, team‑focused Finance Manager who wants to do more than keep the books balanced.  You’ll be helping to sustain and strengthen a historic youth and community centre that has supported generations of children and families in Everton.

As our Finance Manager, you’ll play a central role in making sure our work remains impactful, financially resilient, and future‑focused. You’ll take ownership of day‑to‑day finance operations, from bookkeeping and monthly accounts to supplier management and cashflow forecasting. You’ll also work closely with the leadership team, offering clear financial insight that helps us make confident, mission‑driven decisions.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being hands on, improving systems, and bringing clarity and structure to a small but fast‑moving organisation. You’ll collaborate closely with colleagues across the charity, supporting non‑finance staff, ensuring financial controls remain strong, and helping us stay compliant, organised, and ready for growth.

You’ll also contribute to funding bids, project budgets, and grant management, playing an active part in securing and managing the resources that keep our programmes thriving all year round.

If you’re motivated by purposeful work, enjoy variety, and want your skills to genuinely make a difference, this could be the perfect role for you. You’ll join a warm, dedicated team that cares deeply about the community and lives by the motto: People Matter More Than Things.

Application Instructions
