Animal Welfare Investigations Project (AWIP) is a specialist not-for-profit organisation dedicated to ending cruelty through intelligence-led investigations, criminal prosecutions, and systemic change.

We are investing heavily in building a world-class legacy fundraising program. We're seeking a passionate and dedicated Part-Time Legacy Officer to help steward our most visionary supporters — securing transformational gifts that will protect animals for generations to come.

About the Role

As our Legacy Officer, you will be at the heart of one of the most important projects in AWIP’s future.

You will:

• Build warm, trusting relationships with legacy pledgers and prospects.

• Respond to supporter enquiries about Gifts in Wills.

• Steward confirmed pledgers through personalised updates, thank you letters, and occasional calls or events.

• Maintain accurate CRM records for legacy prospects and pledgers.

• Create simple, heartfelt communications to inspire and retain pledgers.

• Host occasional small-scale legacy events (virtual or in-person).

• Report on progress to the Executive Director.

This is a 12-month temporary contract with a strong possibility of extension or becoming permanent based on program growth and conversion performance.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is:

• Warm, empathetic, and relationship-driven.

• Organised with excellent attention to detail.

• Self-motivated, able to manage workload across 16 hours per week.

• Comfortable communicating by email, letter, and phone.

• Committed to animal protection and the long-term power of Gifts in Wills.

• Holds or is willing to work towards a recognised legacy qualification (e.g., CiCLA or Certificate in Legacy Fundraising).

• (Preferred) Adherence to a cruelty-free – vegan or vegetarian – lifestyle with a passion for protecting animals.

• (Preferred) Previous experience in legacy fundraising, supporter care, or major gifts.

Role Details

• Salary: £12,000–£12,600 per year (equivalent to £28,500–£31,500 FTE).

• Working Hours: 16 hours weekly total, fully flexible working. Overtime (time off in lieu) may be available for extra workload.

• Location: Remote (occasional travel for in-person team meetings and/or supporter events — expenses paid).

• Contract: 12 months initially, with strong potential to extend or become permanent.

 Sightsavers is looking for a digital communications expert to support in reviewing the business needs of Sightsavers websites, and to create a project brief for the websites’ evolution, in particular for sightsavers website and our ecommerce platform.

About the role 

Reporting to the global head of design, brand and digital experience, this is a pivotal position that will establish how the next generation of Sightsavers websites will support the organisation’s evolving needs and work.

We are looking for a digital communications expert with professional experience working in user experience, content marketing and ecommerce to lead the day-to-day delivery of Sightsavers’ exciting websites scoping project. You will be responsible for information gathering throughout the organisation, coordination and day-to-day management of the project, coordinating a project team of area experts, and using an Agile working process to deliver comprehensive project findings, resources and recommendations. 

To be successful in this role, you will have to quickly understand the organisation’s various strands of work and the relationships between these, as well as having an understanding of the specialisms of the core project team members, including editorial, design, analytics, search marketing and web development. The ability to work autonomously, manage stakeholders and diplomatically prioritise their needs, as well as cultivating support throughout the organisation for the project is essential.

Skills and Experience

• Demonstrable evidence-based approach, with experience using user insights, analytics and design research to inform decisions.

• Able to work confidently with colleagues at all levels, with strong interpersonal, influencing and negotiating skills.

Who We’re Looking For:
 
We are seeking a proactive and highly self-motivated Fundraising Manager to join our team at Police Care UK and make a critical contribution towards our combined annual fundraising target of approximately £1 million.
 
With knowledge of the funding landscape for first responders, police, mental health, or wellbeing causes, you will take direct responsibility for income from Trusts & Foundations, Major Donors, and legacy fundraising, alongside oversight of our challenge and community events.
 
With strong research and writing skills, you’ll identify new funding opportunities and produce compelling, high-quality applications. You’ll also bring excellent relationship-building abilities, managing key donor relationships with care and ensuring grant compliance to maximise impact and income.
 
If you have a strong track record in securing significant income from trusts, foundations, grant-making bodies and major donors, and a commitment to improving mental health outcomes for those who serve, we’d love to hear from you.
 
Main Responsibilities:

• Develop and deliver a trusts and foundations fundraising strategy to meet agreed income targets.
• Research and identify new funding opportunities from trusts, foundations, and statutory sources.
• Write compelling, tailored funding proposals, applications, and reports.
• Work closely with finance and clinical teams to monitor and report on grant expenditure.
• Organise meetings, presentations, and site visits to engage and inspire funders.
• Provide timely updates, reports, and impact statements to funders.

Experience:

• Building and nurturing relationships with grant-making bodies.
• Setting and achieving ambitious income targets from major donors.
• Experience or understanding of effective legacy marketing and administration processes.
