We are recruiting a Challenge Events Fundraiser to grow PAPYRUS’ challenge event income by leading on allocated PAPYRUS own events, projects and campaigns and managing all third-party challenge events.

What you will do:

• Develop an events plan that will grow income using data from previous years to understand our supporters and build a creative and sustainable income plan for long term growth.
• Build and manage relationships with supporters across all communication channels and provide professional, relevant, timely and empathetic stewardship at all times.
• Raise awareness of PAPYRUS and its work by developing and delivering presentations and talks both online and face to face to supporters and facilitating necessary photo opportunities in line with GDPR for use if future promotional activity
• Manage costs and budgets for events, including forecasting, estimates and future year planning.
• Be proactive seeking out new initiatives and market trends in fundraising across the UK charitable sector.
• Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of PAPYRUS challenge event fundraising assets, collateral, materials, and policies and procedures ensuring all content is on brand and to a high standard.
• Working with colleagues in Business Support Services to use the data collected across all donation platforms to analyse and inform required reports and update existing reporting mechanisms.

To be successful in this role you will have:

• Previous experience of working in a fundraising role for a UK registered charity
• Experience of successfully managing a portfolio of third-party events
• Proven track record of successful relationship management with donors/ fundraisers
• Proven track record of working effectively in a team
• Experience in creating and monitoring budgets
• Experience using Raiser’s edge or a similar CRM database.
• Knowledge of regulatory environment for fundraising from events fundraising including sponsorship, data protection, Gift Aid (incl GASDS) and Fundraising Codes of Practice and regulation
• Good knowledge of data selection, data analysis, insight and application of datasets for maximum success
• Understanding of events fundraising
• Competence in the use of IT tools including Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Role Overview

You will lead key delivery areas of the marketing function, focusing on planning, running and evaluating effective, segmented email campaigns, creating compelling assets, building trust through social proof and coordinating our presence at events. This role is hands-on, delivery-focused, and designed to help accelerate our reach and engagement with schools, partners, and the wider education sector in both the short and longer term. Key Responsibilities

Email Campaign Management

• Design and implement segmented email marketing campaigns that generate leads and drive nurture, conversion and engagement

• Collaborate with the wider team on content planning and audience targeting to support both brand and programme recruitment campaigns

• Monitor and report on performance; continuously test and improve subject lines, content, and CTAs and improve MQL generation and quality

Social Proof & Case Study Development

Event Marketing

About MAG:

About the role:

You will support the Head of Corporate Finance to ensure that MAG’s global finance systems are fit for purpose. This includes ensuring that MAG’s systems are strengthening business partnering, minimising manual input and risk of errors, and optimising overall output in the recording, analysis, and reporting of financial data. You will support the Head of Corporate Finance and Head of Programme Finance with all elements of financial planning and analysis. We're seeking an enthusiastic Education Coordinator to help shape the future of chemistry education.
 
With a focus on Northern Ireland, you'll lead regional initiatives, tailoring them to local needs and supporting teachers through workshops and online sessions. You'll build strong partnerships with local education authorities, schools, and teacher networks, and collaborate with national organisations to advance our education policy across the UK and Ireland. You’ll monitor educational developments, contribute to policy-influencing documents, and share our views with policy makers and other stakeholders.
 
This role will require extensive travel throughout Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, including attending and running events for teachers and student teachers, working with members, and meeting key education contacts. Expect to travel about twice a week, depending on the academic timetable, and occasionally work weekends and non-core hours.
 
Responsibilities:
 
Regional engagement and delivery: Lead the project management and delivery of education initiatives tailored to the needs of the local education community, aligned with our strategy. This includes understanding teacher needs, delivering direct support (e.g, workshops, online sessions), advising on the use of our resources, and commissioning internal support to enhance the impact of our services.
 
Local curriculum expertise and relevance: Champion and advise on local curricula to ensure our education programmes remain relevant and impactful for all teachers across the UK and Ireland. Partnership and stakeholder engagement:

What we are looking for:

• A degree in science, preferably in the chemical sciences, or an equivalent qualification, together with evidence of working with schools, ideally with a teaching qualification.
• An understanding of school level, further and higher education and a breadth of knowledge of the education systems in the UK and Ireland together with a deep knowledge of the local curricula.
• Experience of stakeholder relationship management and an understanding of customer requirements, including those of: school teachers; FE teachers, HE academics and support staff; careers advisors; employers; governments and its agencies, and non-government bodies.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including a proven ability to write effectively for different audiences and deliver clear and engaging presentations both online and in-person.
• Good project management and team working skills and experience, with the ability to work independently.

The available role
As our new Head of Finance, you’ll be a key member of the Business Development Team - managing a small team and ensuring they deliver a high quality service. You will work closely with the Executive Team and Board of Trustees, ensuring they have a clear understanding of the hospice’s financial position.

You’ll be joining a values-led, CQC Outstanding rated hospice at a pivotal moment in our journey. As Head of Finance, you will lead the hospice’s budgeting process and audit process, as well as producing regular management accounts, forecasts, statutory returns and investments. You will work with managers from across the hospice to help them to better understand their own budgets and you will play a vital role in improving efficiencies and managing costs.

The role is available 37 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 8.30am – 4.30pm (Friday 4pm finish), on a salary of £55,690 - £62,682 per annum. A hybrid approach to work, with the option to work from home 1–2days per week, depending on the needs of the service.

• Lead on the development and implementation of an effective programme to develop supporters using a range of channels, including but not limited to direct mail, telemarketing, DRTV and digital, and products including cash, raffle, regular giving, weekly lottery. 

• Assist the Senior Individual Giving Manager to develop and implement an effective development strategy in order to maximise the lifetime value of supporters and the long-term sustainable net income raised for Barnardo's. 

• Manage income and expenditure budgets. 

• Line manage up to 3 direct reports. 

 You will have experience of :

• Working in a fundraising environment, specifically in direct marketing and across different channels.
