This role will support the management and delivery our current work stream on Living Wages in the African Banana Export Industry. Initial activities will be delivered in Ghana and Cameroon, in collaboration with our local and international trade union partners, local producing companies, and European retailers. Key project activities include: 

- Facilitation of capacity building activities on Living Wages and Decent Work in Cameroon and Ghana, with company staff and trade union representatives.
- Communication and dialogue between all project partners and other industry stakeholders towards fair remuneration and decent work in the banana industry.

Elders Voice is a charity supporting older people in the London Borough of Brent. The Handyperson Service is our flagship service; it’s been in existence for 35 years and is highly valued by the older people who use it. We are looking for a Handyperson Service Coordinator to oversee the Handyperson Service and be responsible for all aspects of facilities management at our premises in Kensal Green.

Handyperson Service

• Undertake all administrative tasks relating to the effective and efficient running of the Handyperson Service with meticulous attention to detail and record keeping.

• Promote service within borough and maintain relationships with Brent Adult Social Care, healthcare bodies and other statutory & voluntary sector organisations.
• Work with CEO in developing and expanding service.

Facilities Management

• Oversee all contracts related to Health & Safety and building maintenance.
• Carry out inspection of premises and flag areas requiring maintenance and repair.
• Ensure premises meets government regulations, health & safety standards and energy efficiency requirements.

About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organised Programme Support Coordinator to support the delivery of our Sport England funded national programme that empowers people with a learning disability to get active. You will work across 2 key projects:

· Our Active Community – supporting people with a learning disability and their communities to become more active.

· Mencap Active Community – helping to grow, engage and upskill a national network of stakeholders.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about health and wellbeing for people with a learning disability, with strong coordination and communication skills.

Mencap are a Sport England funded system partner, and this role is a full-time fixed term contract until end of March 2027. You will sit within the Active Communities team supporting the Programme Lead, Network Development Partner and 5 Community Partners.

What You Will Be Doing

· Liaise with Community Partners and support them with their Our Active Community workload. Tasks will vary but could involve asset mapping, attending forums, writing up meeting notes, creating Easy Read documents, and compiling newsletters.

· Liaise with the Network Development Partner to organise and support national forums, webinars, and learning events to share best practice and amplify lived experience.

· Support with our online platforms for Mencap Active Community, signing up stakeholders and keeping content up to date and engaging. This will include the development of inclusive resources, toolkits, and communications for national distribution.

· Provide coordination support for the delivery of our Learning Disability and Sport workshop in terms of bookings, liaising with tutors, co-trainers, attendees and capturing impact.

· Lead on our communications plan by creating content and promoting our work both internally and externally across various communication channels.

· Monitor our sports inbox and respond to general enquiry emails.

· Support monitoring, evaluation, and reporting processes, including data analysis, capturing learnings and creating case studies.

The role also involves facilitating access to local community resources and opportunities aligned with clients' interests and wellbeing goals, as well as identifying and helping to develop new partnerships and services that promote mental health and reduce inequalities. They will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of all interactions, support plans, assessments, and outcomes in line with data protection and service standards. Monitoring client wellbeing, addressing emerging risks, and escalating safeguarding or crisis concerns as necessary will also be key responsibilities. Additionally, they will participate in team meetings, supervision, and ongoing training to support professional development and continuous service improvement.

Here's what the team will be looking for

The ideal candidate will have a GCSE-level education with an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent, and be willing to complete BEH Peer Worker Training and a Wellness at Work plan. A Health or Social Care qualification and ongoing training commitment are desirable. They will have lived experience of mental health challenges and secondary care use, along with supportive life experiences that inspire others. Experience in support roles, teamwork, and knowledge of recovery tools and principles is essential, as is an awareness of issues like stigma and discrimination. Desirable experience includes psychiatric hospital admission, mentoring, working in public or voluntary sectors, cross-organisational collaboration, and knowledge of local mental health services. Strong written, verbal, and non-verbal communication skills are required, along with basic IT proficiency; skills in Microsoft Office or additional languages are a plus. The candidate should be motivated, reliable, flexible, and resilient, with clear professional boundaries.

Together for Short Lives is a charity that ensures seriously ill children and their families receive the care they need, especially at the end of life. We work closely with families, care professionals, and services to improve children’s palliative care. A fantastic opportunity is available for a Family Support Hub Officer to join us as maternity cover for 9 months. You will work within our Family Support Hub, liaising with identified partners to provide support to families with a seriously ill child, as well as providing grants administration and event organisation support. 

About the Role

The purpose of this role is to help Together for Short Lives reach and support more families - responding appropriately to their needs by listening, signposting or referring onto internal and external support e.g.. grants, peer support, events and engagement opportunities. You will support families contacting Together for Short Lives through the Helpline, website and from partner referrals.

This role combines responsibility for grant administration and voucher processing with day-to-day family support hub tasks, including managing email inboxes and co-ordinating communications. The postholder will ensure that families receive timely information, compassionate support, and access to financial assistance, while helping the organisation meet funding obligations and maintain high-quality service delivery.

About you

We are looking for a proactive and visible finance professional who is able to engage and build relationships across the organisation as a pivotal member within a values led high performing organisation. You will be a qualified accountant with proven track record of financial management awareness and a solid understanding of charity audits and statutory accounts preparation. You will have the ability to work with staff across the organisation in supporting good financial governance and oversight of financial operational matters. You will have the ability to analyse financial information and present this in a suitable format for the audience. You will have good ability to meet deadlines, be IT literate with an emphasis on financial systems, spreadsheets, Quickbooks and Excel. You will be highly organised with excellent attention to detail and be able to work with minimum supervision.

About the role

The role will involve the management of the day-to-day financial activities, VAT, gift aid, payroll and the monthly, quarterly and annual reconciliations and statutory accounts preparation. The job holder will work closely with the Chief Operating Officer, Finance Officer and volunteers within the team. There will be a requirement to work closely with the income generating staff, budget holders, auditors, banks and credit card providers on a regular basis.  The Finance Manager will be responsible for managing the Finance Officer and Finance volunteer.
