We are looking for a compassionate and organised Referrals Practitioner to join our team and play a vital role in welcoming new residents into recovery. For this recruitment cycle, we particularly welcome applications from people with lived experience of recovery and/or the criminal justice system, as well as those from underrepresented ethnic groups and diverse socio-economic backgrounds.

About the Role

The Referrals Practitioner supports all aspects of our referral process – from handling enquiries and assessing applications to ensuring smooth, safe, and supportive arrivals for new residents. Working alongside the Referrals Coordinator, you will:

• Respond to referrals and enquiries with professionalism and compassion
• Carry out assessments in line with Nehemiah’s admissions procedures
• Build relationships with referral agencies, prisons, and community partners
• Provide feedback to applicants and agencies on referral outcomes
• Arrange and support resident arrivals, including prison gate pickups where required
• Help ensure our houses remain safe, positive recovery environments
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to reports and monitoring

This is a varied role where no two days are the same – you might be assessing an application one morning, presenting to a prison referral team in the afternoon, and welcoming a new resident from the community the next day.

What We Are Looking For

We are seeking someone who is:

• Experienced in working with vulnerable adults in recovery, the criminal justice system, or related fields (paid, voluntary, or lived)
• Skilled in communication, with the ability to build trust and rapport with residents, partners, and colleagues
• Organised and confident using IT systems (ideally including Salesforce or similar CRM tools)
• Able to demonstrate resilience and empathy in challenging situations
• Understanding of addiction recovery and safeguarding principles
• NVQ3 in Health & Social Care or equivalent experience (including lived experience)

PROGRAMMES COORDINATOR, YOUTH LEADERSHIP

Job Purpose: To work with the Youth & Universities team to deliver F&BF’s programmes and projects

Salary: £29,802 – £32,565, depending on experience

Duties and Responsibilities

All activities will be undertaken in collaboration with the Youth Voice & Universities team.

Delivery

· To support delivery of the UN award-winning ParliaMentors programme (1.5 days per week):

o Being responsible for 2 teams of university students.

o Supporting 12 London-based students by: having 1:1 coaching calls with each of them to offer guidance and support; conducting sessions to support the teams with their social action projects and identifying area for development; conducting sessions to work through any team dynamic issues that arise.

o Supporting with facilitation of workshops related to social action, politics, leadership and interfaith.

o Administrative and logistical support (e.g., room bookings, processing reimbursements, coordinating student travels).

· To support delivery of City Bridge Trust (CBT) work (3.5 days per week):

o Responsible for overseeing the deliverables for this funder, ensuring all deadlines are met.

o Responsible for delivering four interfaith trainings for Local Authorities within London.

o Planning and delivering the annual Youth Interfaith Summit, the UK’s largest interfaith event for the climate.

o Coordinating the Youth Advisory Board, a group of young interfaith activists who will codesign the Summit.

o Responsible for coordinating the remainder of the Youth Forum for Faith and Ecology in partnership with LSE.

o Identifying and facilitating partnerships between alumni network and other relevant organizations.

o Coordinate collection and analysis of M&E data for internal and funder reporting, and production of case studies.

· To lead on social media for the Y&U team

o Responsible for creating a minimum of four posts per month for Instagram and LinkedIn for the F&BF and ParliaMentors accounts.

Job Description

This is a new role, joining a small and growing fundraising team. The purpose of this Trusts and Foundations Fundraising Manager role is to grow LMK’s income generation from Charitable Trusts and Foundations, to support delivery of LMK’s mission. 

The role is a true combination of independent and collaborative working. Independent in the writing of bespoke funding applications and reports, maintaining accurate records on LMK’s CRM, and researching to continually build LMK’s pipeline of Trusts & Foundation prospects. 

And collaborative in the close working with LMK’s core team to monitor and report on restricted grants, and working together with the wider fundraising team on creative projects such as: maintaining an updated library of cases for support, implementation of fresh and creative stewardship strategies that bring LMK supporters closer to our work, and cultivation strategies that engage supporters to whom LMK is brand new. 

The role requires strong relationship building skills, which will be drawn upon in your direct working with Trust & Foundation supporters and internally with LMK colleagues. 

Key Responsibilities

• Writing bespoke funding applications: you will be responsible for maintaining a regular pipeline of applications, writing and submitting proposals to new and existing Trust & Foundation supporters, including six-figure and multi-year grants, working to targets for both income generated and outputs (e.g. number of proposals per month).

• Grant reporting: using LMK’s CRM system and working collaboratively with the core team to produce high quality, timely reports for both restricted and unrestricted grants.

• Providing excellent relationship management: to build trusted and lasting relationships with existing and new supporters, including delivery of stewardship and cultivation strategies.

• Case for support development: with support from the wider fundraising team, you will maintain a library of creative and compelling cases for support for use in Trusts & Foundations fundraising. 

• Researching Prospects: identifying suitable new Trusts & Foundations for LMK to approach, and developing and delivering approaches to cultivate early, new relationships. 

• Maintaining accurate, data-compliant records on LMK’s CRM: ensuring all grant records are stored securely, and delivery commitments are effectively communicated to relevant staff members in a timely manner.

Person Specification 

• Proven experience of leading on Trust & Foundation applications generating  high 5-figure and multi-year grants.

• Experience of working with colleagues to provide financial information to funders e.g. developing budgets for grant requests and financial reporting at the end of a grant.

• At least 3 years’ experience in successfully delivering and/or supporting a grant fundraising programme, including demonstrable experience of working to targets and managing multiple deadlines, and understanding the trust & foundations fundraising landscape.

• Successfully managing a portfolio of at least 15 Trusts and Foundation relationships, with evidence of providing excellent relationship management and stewardship strategies resulting in renewed and/or increased levels of financial support from partners.

• Experience of using a CRM system to manage all aspects of grant fundraising, including maintaining a pipeline of grant prospects, managing live grants, and regular data input that helps to store a full picture of our funder relationships.

• Excellent written skills, with proven experience of developing a compelling case for support that connects prospective funders with the charity’s mission and is grounded in the charity’s strategic priorities and funding needs.

• Highly organised to manage a diverse workload with excellent time management and attention to detail. 

• Strong MS Office/Google knowledge, numerate, comfortable with data

About the role

We're looking for an Occupational Therapist who has experience in Complex Mental Health and Substance Misuse to join our residential service based in Croydon. You will use your skills and knowledge to support residents with mental health challenges, complex needs, and will provide specialist occupational therapy as part of their recovery. This is a great opportunity to shape your own role, alongside a team of Positive Engagement Workers, a Dual Diagnosis Worker, and Clinical Psychologist, whilst working closely with the Group Psychological Lead and other external partnerships. You will receive regular supervisions and have time with an external Occupational Therapist. 

You will:

• Deliver evidence-based interventions based on holistic assessments to support personalised recovery, integration, and promotion of independent living skills
• Be proactive with planning and delivering meaningful activities; this includes one to one and group sessions
• Work closely with clinical teams to meet people where they are, assess their situation, and write recommendations and signposting accordingly
• Assess their current situation through holistic assessments and put plans in place for them to overcome their personal barriers, to enable them for independent living and stability
• Provide psychologically informed interventions in a person-centred approach, flexibly to the resident needs
• Complete various assessments from function to task related to help empower enhanced community and personal engagement
• Set SMART goals in a collaborative way with residents, taking into account all information present from various team members and partner agencies.  

About you

We’re looking for a passionate, driven and qualified Occupational Therapist, registered with the HCPC who has experience working with people that have multiple complex needs. You’ll be confident applying theory to the practical working environment. We use a trauma informed, non judgmental approach, so it’s important that you can work well with others, fit into the team, and build trusting relationships. You will be able to apply your knowledge of relevant guidance and protocols to the working environment. You will have a background in a similar role, able to provide specialist support to our residents who struggle with their mental health and substance use.

What we look for:

• Ability to provide specialised occupational therapy assessment and treatment for residents/participants.
• Willingness to work in adherence to Health and Care Professionals Council (HCPC) and Consultation Observation Tool (COT) and other practice guidelines.
• Ability to identify activity needs and wishes through various approaches such as assessments, observations, and discussions then use these to implement plans of action.
• Ability to recognise signs of deteriorating mental health, physical health, or other health implications and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent crisis or other risks.

We are looking for an experienced Campaigns Manager, who is passionate about driving change and has knowledge and experience of Communications and managing staff. This is a temporary post, whilst we go out to recruitment for a permanent post, during the busiest time of the year for White Ribbon.

The post holder will be leading our national flagship campaign – White Ribbon Day (25th November) and the following 16 days of activism, ensuring existing plans are fully developed and delivered and the campaign meets its goals and targets.

Close working with the Business Development Manager and the Accreditation and Training team will be required. 

You will be responsible for monitoring, evaluation and reporting to the Board of Trustees on the success of the campaign.

You will need to manage the project budget, reporting to our Finance Manager, and ensure that our campaign sponsors are happy.

About the role

Are you passionate about providing safe and stable accommodation to women and children escaping domestic abuse? Wanting to help make a difference and provide specialist support to them to gain greater independence? This might be the role for you.

As a Children and Family worker, you will be based within our Women's Refuge service, supporting women and children up to the age of 15 who have escaped domestic abuse. You will deliver trauma-informed, child and family centred support to promote safety and wellbeing, working collaboratively with mothers to strengthen the parent-child relationship during a time of crisis. You will support with both emotional and practical day-to-day support. This is typically done through key work sessions, risk assessments, and empowerment focused activities. 

You will play a vital role in supporting families, being the sole specialist within the service, which gives you autonomy to shape the role based on your expertise and experience. You will lead on child-focused support, as well as working part of the wider team to provide the support to mothers. You will deliver a range of support for children and young people, as well as family and parenting support. 

About you

We are looking for someone who has a real passion to support families and children who have experienced domestic abuse. You will have a trauma-informed understanding of domestic abuse and the impact it has on families, and will be able to engage in sensitive conversations, recognising signs on trauma, and being proactive to support families to overcome this. This is a hands-on, active role, ideal for someone who is creative, energetic, and passionate about working directly with families. You will be a team player, able to collaborate and provide support to colleagues as needed. 

• A background in working with adults and children, particularly from trauma affected backgrounds
• Experience in supporting mothers in helping children transition to new schools
• Proven ability to plan and deliver engaging play sessions, after school activities, and family events as well as religious and national celebrations

Our Campaigns and Communications Manager will play a key role in identifying strategic opportunities to make change through empowering and engaging our clients and local network, building and communicating a strong case for change.
