A large complex Charity that operates on a global scale are looking for a Management Accountant deliver the annual budget and provide an excellent Business Partnering Service across the Organisation. The role of Head of Finance – Treasury and Financial Planning will lead, manage and co-ordinate the provision of the Groups Financial Planning, Treasury Management Services and Management Accounting functions as well as assist the Finance Director to lead and manage the Finance team.
The role:

Job summary
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.
Main responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the meetings and events programme meeting its financial and other goals and KPIs under the existing strategy

The deputy service manager will contribute to the management of the IDVA and community based services, in line with Refuge’s policies and procedures and quality management system. This involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors.
The post holder will provide line management and support to staff. This will include providing supervision on complex casework issues such as child protection, overseeing operational emergencies and ensuring high standards of support. Working closely with the services manager to ensure that contractual and other funding requirements are met fully and that Refuge’s high quality standards are maintained, the role may involve visiting potential sites and contributing to the establishment of new services in conjunction with the development team.
The job involves working closely with members of staff that support victims and survivors of domestic abuse using our services. As a member of the management team, the post holder will be required to participate in an out-of-hours management service.
This post is restricted to women due to the nature of the role. The Occupational Requirement under Schedule 9 (part 1) of the Equality Act 2010 applies.

MLC Partners are seeking an experienced finance professional with significant social housing experience to recruit a Head of Finance based in central London. This is an immediate starting, initial 3month interim opportunity.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide partnering support to the executive and senior management on accounts, KPI’s, value for money metrics, annual budgets and variance analyses
- Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on the charities performance
- Prepare monthly management accounts, and present Senior Management Team, including variance analysis and commentary to budgets, and forecasts for each department
- Lead on the preparation of individual sites annual operating/revenue and capital budgets
- Lead on the annual rent and service charges increases, and ongoing maintenance of the charities rent models
- Ensure all supporting documents are filed for external bodies such as HMRC for Gift Aid & VAT purposes
- Work with your direct reports to provide financial management and accounting services including; rent accounting, implementation of procurement policy and payroll functions
- Completion of monthly accruals and prepayments, accrued and deferred income, combined with full supporting analysis and explanations
- Team management of 2 Finance staff members
Key criteria:
- Qualified accountant
- Extensive experience of internal financial controls and capital/property accounting
- Must have experience within the social housing/property sector
- Proven ability to work effectively with regulatory bodies and funders
- Experience in managing and motivating staff, including recruitment, performance management and appraisals
- Experience in independent working, and team management

About you
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a proactive and experienced Senior HR Advisor to join our HR team. You will be responsible for providing specialist advice on the full spectrum of Employee Relations cases including absence, disciplinary investigations, grievance, performance management and organisational change, ensuring the delivery of an exceptional and timely service to stakeholders.
The post-holder will be proactive in taking the initiative to identify and deliver solutions for improvements to service delivery and will engage and upskill stakeholders to improve management competences to avoid litigation.
You will have direct line management responsibility for a HR Assistant and will support the HR Business Partner in identifying and delivering HR projects that add value to HR Operations processes and RHN stakeholders, improve the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our HR service, and help achieve the aims of our People Strategy.
We are looking for an experienced HR professional with a robust background in employee relations and a strong understanding of HR compliance and employment legislation.

Main Responsibilities
- To cover frontline duties, including accommodation, community and activities settings as needed, attending reliably and on time in order to ensure continuous cover.
- To act as a Duty Manager, including dealing with any staffing or other issues arising during periods of duty in accordance with set procedures.
- To provide an out-of-hours On Call service on a rota basis with two or three others, responding effectively to concerns. This will include finding cover in the case of sickness or other absence, or covering a shift at very short notice when no other cover is available.
