Role Purpose:
The role of the Commercial Programmer is responsible for the creative programming and delivery of a commercial public events programme through public commercial events and private venue hire to grow our income, visitor numbers and opportunities.

This role will support the development and delivery of key areas which are essential to our success:
Commercial public events and partnerships support the Commercial Events department to create a year-round plan of commercial public events which engage existing and new visitors and grow income.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Events programming and delivery
- To research, programme, and deliver a regular annual public programme at the Old Royal Naval College, incorporating seasonal events and event programmes related to art installations or exhibitions.
- To support the development of the Commercial Public Events programme in line with the Commercial Events Strategy as defined by the Commercial Manager.
- Generate income and profile through a range of commercial partnerships, ticketed events, and new ventures to build financial resilience of the organisation.
- Programming unique and innovative special events, working alongside site partners to deliver a collaborative programme of commercial events.
- To use bench-marking research and consistent formative evaluation to keep the public programme relevant and successful.
- To provide engagement opportunities for audiences from all backgrounds with a diverse programme of events.
- To ensure that all events are staffed appropriately with the appropriate level of cover for the activities onsite.
- To manage all documentation and liaison in relation to the delivery of the public programme (i.e. communication with internal and external stakeholders, the completion of events schedules, Event Management Plans, and risk assessments).
- To manage the engagement of contractors and suppliers working on the public programme, ensuring all health and safety protocols are met and site rules adhered to.
- To keep complete and up-to-date financial records and ensure that the programme remains within a set budget.
- To handle and respond to private event enquiries and confirm/programme them appropriately in the site diary.
Personal Development and Training
- Maintaining a good level of knowledge of the public event, programming, and heritage industries
- Stay abreast of industry trends and best practice.
Other duties
- Supporting the corporate ambitions of the Old Royal Naval College
- Taking care of your personal health and safety and that of others and report any health and safety and / or safeguarding concerns. Ensure proactive compliance with the Foundation’s health and safety and safeguarding policies, including risk assessments as required and implementing safe systems and practices.

About the role
Across your geographic area of Cumbria & Lancashire , you'll:
- Identify, develop, and steward supporter relationships with businesses, fundraising groups, and high value prospects.
- Understand supporter motivations, identifying opportunities across the Charity that inspire and engage, enabling them to achieve their fundraising goals and reach their potential.
- Identify and steward corporate prospects using a pipeline process resulting in applying for and converting opportunities.
- Be proactive within your area to identify opportunities for fundraising and raise awareness of the Charity.
- Manage supporters effectively using our CRM system (OneCRM) to provide excellent stewardship.
- Meet agreed financial targets, provide monthly financial progress reports, and put mitigation plans in place for any shortfall.

Working arrangements

There will be a requirement for flexible out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity. You will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

Fundraising Development Manager
The Bike Project (TBP) is looking for a Fundraising Development Manager. This role will focus on gaining support from both corporate partners and major donors alongside line managing the Fundraising Executive.
This is a key growth area for TBP, the post holder will have the opportunity to make the role their own leading their own income stream whilst being supported by the Head of Fundraising and CEO. The Bike Project has an entrepreneurial culture born out of our online and physical bike shop which raises considerable income on an annual basis. We are now keen to grow our trading further through developing a new bike servicing model. This role will lead the development and roll out of this service alongside developing traditional corporate partnerships and relationships with major donors.
Being a small charity, we work in an agile manner which allows for creative ideas to flourish and new ideas to be implemented quickly. We hold donation sessions weekly out of our London and Birmingham workshops, so there is opportunity to see the impact of your work first hand.

The role
The Corporate and Individual Giving Manager is responsible for generating sustainable income by identifying, engaging with, and securing funding through individuals and corporate donor relationships.
Establishing sustainable fundraising streams is a top priority for the centre. This role will play a crucial part in strengthening our strategy for Individual and Corporate Giving, with a keen focus on continuous growth. Key responsibilities include identifying and cultivating a pipeline of prospective donor relationships, as well as creating compelling corporate fundraising campaigns and providing personalised stewardship to both attract new supporters and nurture existing relationship.
This role will sit within the wider Income and Generation Team. Institutional and Corporate Fundraiser, RISE

BACKGROUND
RISE (Reimagining Industry to Support Equality) is a new collaboration focused on accelerating and expanding gender equality and women’s empowerment across global supply chains, through the delivery of workplace interventions and greater cross-sector collaboration. Our mission is to empower women workers, embed gender equality in business practice and catalyze systems change with an initial focus on the apparel, footwear, and home textile sectors. RISE is a membership organization that works with the world’s largest apparel and footwear brands as well as suppliers as members. Founded by BSR, CARE, ILO-IFC Better Work, and Gap In, RISE is hosted by BSR with a longer-term intention of becoming an independent not-for-profit entity.
RISE is now seeking the support of a fundraising contractor to help us achieve our new fundraising strategy and plans for significant expansion of our work. RISE has a mixed funding model and receives funding from private sector, philanthropic foundations, corporate foundations, bilateral agencies and could receive funding from multilateral agencies. This role will support RISE on grant fundraising.
We are looking for a self-starter with strong grant fundraising experience and network who is equally happy partnering with the team on new project ideas, writing proposals, expanding prospects and presenting to donors. We expect you to share our commitment to seeking a fairer future for women working in global supply chains and wants to join us to help scale our work through year-on-year income growth.
Time commitment: On average of 2-3 days/week with some periods being more intense than others.
Location: The Contractor can be remote, preferably located in the US or Europe. The person will report to the Executive Director, based in London.
SCOPE OF WORK:
Proposal and Concept Development
- Partner with subject matter experts at RISE to brainstorm and develop impactful new project ideas and turn these into concept notes or fundraising campaigns.
- Lead on grant proposal development for priority concepts. This involves drafting a compelling project narrative that translates our work for a donor audience, as well as program activities and outcomes, and a logical framework or theory of change.
- Lead on development of case for support, capability statements and pitch materials.
- Lead on complex, multi-year budget development for proposals in compliance with donor requirements and in line with RISE and BSR operational, financial and compliance guidelines for grant funding.
- Work with RISE Executive Director and wider RISE team on developing a healthy grant pipeline.
Donor Engagement
- Build on RISE’s existing donor networks and relationships to lead donor engagement and secure new funding in support of RISE’s priority action areas. This will involve:
- Broadening RISE’s base of donors by identifying priority donor targets and seeking ways to build new donor relationships, with particular focus around philanthropic foundations, corporate foundations and bilateral agencies.
- Maintaining regular communications with relevant donors and seeking ways to involve them in RISE’s work.
- Partner with RISE Associate Director for Business Partnerships on development and outreach to RISE members on grant funding opportunities, in particular collaborative or joint opportunities.
- Developing and implementing outreach plans for priority concepts.
- Lead on or partner with RISE subject matter experts and leadership on donor presentations and pitch-meetings.
- Keeping RISE team up to date with donor intelligence.
- Represent RISE, as agreed, at relevant conferences or events where RISE priority donors are present.
Fundraising planning
- Work with Executive Director to develop annual workplans for fundraising/business development/partnership building.
- Input into fundraising strategy and strategic reviews – including priority areas of focus, strategies for increasing grant funding, and ways to enhance internal collaboration with content experts.
The Scope of Work is not an exhaustive list of duties but is intended to reflect a range of duties the consultant will perform. The Fundraising Contractor agree priorities with RISE Executive Director. The Scope of Work will be reviewed regularly and may be changed in the light of experience and in consultation with the Contractor.
EXPERIENCE
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience with developing and winning grants including writing concepts, high quality grant proposals.
- Demonstrated expertise with conveying a theory of change and developing logframes, budgets, and work plans for complex, multi-year and global projects in collaboration with program team.
- Good understanding of gender equality, women’s economic empowerment and the private sector’s role in achieving the SDGs.
- Knowledge of the international donor landscape and trends, with existing networks and demonstrable success in securing grant funding from a diverse group of donors including private and corporate foundations and governments.
- Ability to drive strategic work and engage colleagues around collective action/implementation.
- Demonstrated fluency in English, including advanced writing and editing, with the ability to communicate ideas effectively and concisely.
- Well-developed interpersonal skills for working with diverse teams, including across diverse geographies and interacting with senior staff in donor organizations.
- Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office.

REPORTING
The Contractor will report to the Executive Director and work closely with the Associate Director Business Partnerships, Program Director and Country and Program Managers. The Contractor will also partner with work closely with the BSR Grants and Foundation team.

As Fundraising Manager, you will support the team to develop meaningful and sustainable relationships with supporters, managing a small portfolio of your own donors and leading on the day-to-day contact with corporate partners and event sponsors.
As Fundraising Manager, you will:
- Manage a pool of HNWIs, corporate partners and event sponsors focusing on delivering compelling stewardship plans to deepen relationships with supporters and secure income
- Proactively identify and research major donor and corporate prospects, and develop individual cultivation plans to move along the pipeline
- Create high-quality and innovative pitches and presentations to engage prospective donors/partners
- Manage relationships with event sponsors ensuring key deliverables are met
- Support the delivery of Elephant Family’s renowned events, primarily focusing on managing the relationships with guests, event partners, and sponsors
- Work with the Programmes team to identify funding opportunities aligned to donors’ interests and current funding needs
- Take ownership of the database (Salesforce) ensuring donor records are up-to-date to allow for effective supporter communications and engagement

Role Summary
To support the development and delivery of community investment projects that deliver successful, measurable outcomes for TCH residents and communities, often working in conjunction with other TCH teams and external partners to achieve those outcomes.
The projects will focus on our key Community Investment Strategy themes; currently: tackling poverty and inequality; embedding well-being; customer co-creation and sharing power; community activities and programmes.
The role links with others across the organisation including our internal Customer Insight and Resident Engagement teams to understand our communities and supports our wider housing teams to deliver initiatives for the benefit of our residents.
The office base would depend on applicant. The successful applicant would need to travel between the different offices when required.
Role Specific Responsibilities
- Support the development and delivery of existing and new projects, initiatives and services that meet the aims of the Community Investment Strategy.
- Ensure these projects are outcome focused, that programmes/services are responsive to residents’ needs and reflect best practice and corporate priorities and meet regulatory expectations.
- To co-ordinate Community Investment projects and activities working in conjunction with residents, the wider organisation, contractors, and community partners.
- Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of community investment projects, ensuring that monitoring returns are received in agreed timescales and are accurate and outcome focused. Produce relevant performance reports and data as required.
- To provide support for the effective brokerage, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of social value across TCH contracts.
- Use customer data and insight to support our Community Investment work and to help build links with sections of the community who are not currently accessing our services.
- Attend networking and best practice groups as required. Maintain awareness of relevant government legislation and sector best practice and use this to inform your work on local activities and initiatives.
- Support the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) process, helping to develop and monitor project briefs, donation frameworks, and grant funding (when grant processes are open), that respond to social needs and include measurable milestones, outputs and outcomes, budget management, risk mitigation and procurement. Manage service level agreements and freelance contractors.
- In conjunction with colleagues ensure that all areas of service delivery are effectively monitored and evaluated via the application of impact assessments, key performance indicators, social value outcomes and value for money reporting.
- Contribute to the review and development of systems, processes, and services to support TCH’s customer experience and service improvement aspirations, including through learning from complaints and feedback, and implementing change.
- Support our 3rd sector charity partners in ways that help them meet our residents’ needs, including supporting them to understand need and priorities based on data and resident insight.
- In conjunction with your manager and the PR & Communications Team promote community investment and social value projects, and outcomes. To demonstrate to residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders how we make a positive contribution to the neighbourhoods in which we work, that we listen to residents’ views and act on them and how projects and initiatives demonstrate our approach to treating residents fairly and with respect.

KidsOut’s core mission is to provide support designed to improve emotional, educational and social outcomes for children and young people who are facing numerous adverse childhood experiences associated with domestic abuse, poverty, family breakdown or ill health. We do this by providing joy filled experiences, practical and emotional support, and facilitating therapeutic or educational initiatives that strive to empower each child or young person to overcome adversity, unlock their full potential, and flourish in a nurturing and inclusive environment.
KidsOut’s support is offered to every child in a Women’s Aid refuge and over 100 independent refuges as well as children and young people experiencing crisis and challenge from some of the most marginalised and disadvantaged communities across the UK. Many of the 70,000 children and young people we support have undergone traumatic experiences, which can cause significant harm to their psychological development, their emotional wellbeing, their school life and their relationships.
We aim is to restore some normality and provide comfort to these traumatised children and young people though our programme of wellbeing amd educational activities. Our multi-faceted activities include fun days out, music, sport and art workshops as well as delivery of our bespoke Toyboxes to every child arriving at refuge. Additionally, for young people struggling to cope with their mental health we collaborate with regional partners to offer face-to-face sessions that offer specialist support and coping strategies to build resilience and improve emotional wellbeing.
In your role of Trust and Partnerships Officer you will be actively involved in the provision of these positive initiatives by applying your excellent research and relationship management skills to help develop a pipeline of income from charitable trusts and corporate foundations with the potential to support our wide range of projects. You will identify and develop compelling applications to secure funding through various funding sources, that not only contributes to the financial team target but makes a difference to the UK's most vulnerable children.
Key Duties:
- You will write compelling and successful funding applications to Charitable Trusts, Statutory funds and other grant making organisations.
- You’ll keep up to date on the UK grant funding market and trends
- You’ll build and maintain grants and partnership pipeline, seeking out new prospects and opportunities to support existing and new projects.
- You’ll ensure compliant and organised information filing on SharePoint and CRM to facilitate access to relevant information for colleagues and ensure smooth collaboration.
- You’ll produce and update internal income generation reports
- You’ll work flexibly, adapting to rapid changes and opportunities.
- Support volunteers and interns within the Grants and Partnership fundraising team.
- Work across teams to develop projects and align with funders criteria.
