The Communications department at Alzheimer’s Research UK informs, inspires and engages the public about dementia and the progress being made in research. This role sits within the Campaigns & Projects team, one of several specialist teams in the wider department.

The Communications and Content Officer will play a vital role in shaping and growing strategically important communications projects that aim to build understanding of dementia and support for research.

They will be responsible for maximising the impact of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s external news content and other digital comms activity to engage existing supporters and attract new ones. They will also assist managers across the Communications department in measuring the impact of communications activities.

We’re looking for someone who’s passionate about driving the conversation on dementia forwards by creating engaging and exciting content across a range of channels.

Main duties and responsibilities of the role:

Work with the Communications Manager – Campaigns & Projects on the planning and delivery of high-profile, cross-channel campaigns that cut across the organisation. 

· Writing engaging content across a broad range of channels, from social media posts to newsletters and reports.

· Working closely with colleagues in the Digital and Design teams to plan and manage multi-channel campaigns, with a particular focus on paid social media activity.

· Monitoring and reporting on campaign performance to internal teams and external stakeholders and partners.

· Monitoring relevant media coverage to identify stories and developments that could impact upon or provide opportunities for campaigns and projects.

Act as a central point of contact, coordinating the department’s input into key supporter-facing communications.

· Sourcing content and maintaining the department’s content calendar.

· Reviewing and editing content from teams across the charity, ensuring accuracy and consistency in language and key messages.

· Working with other teams to plan and schedule content, then evaluating its performance and reporting back to the wider Communications department. 

Manage and develop Alzheimer’s Research UK website’s news content, aiming to maximise engagement.

· Working with the wider Communications department to maintain a content calendar for the website’s news section.

· Creating and commissioning engaging digital content on a range of topics aligned with the charity’s organisational strategy.

· Working closely with internal teams and external agencies on technical web development projects.

· Acting as a guardian of the charity’s brand language and key messages.

· Using data to continually develop and improve content performance and engagement rates.

What we are looking for:

· A skilled writer and editor with both meticulous attention to detail and creative flair.

· Experience in distilling complex information into plain English.

· An understanding of and aptitude for digital copywriting.

· An understanding of how to adapt content for different audiences and channels.

· An understanding of how to evaluate the performance of content using data, including knowledge of analytics tools.

· Experience working in a communications role.

· Experience of writing and collating compelling content across a variety of channels.

· Excellent planning and organisation skills with the ability to prioritise and effectively manage multiple tasks and work to deadlines.

· Ability to build and manage strong relationships with colleagues of all levels and a variety of external partners.

Additional Information:

Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Roles that are classed as part of the Agile ways of working are not able to claim any costs for Mileage/Travel on Public Transport, Accommodation and/or Meals.  This includes when attending the office for various meetings/events.

Salary: Circa £30,000 per annum, plus benefits.

About the role

As the Operations Officer, you will play an integral role in ensuring the smooth running of our organisation. Your main responsibility will be to deliver the development, implementation, and documentation of effective business processes, primarily through supporting our Council and the various Committees described above. Role Summary

To support the development and delivery of community investment projects that deliver successful, measurable outcomes for TCH residents and communities, often working in conjunction with other TCH teams and external partners to achieve those outcomes.

The projects will focus on our key Community Investment Strategy themes; currently: tackling poverty and inequality; embedding well-being; customer co-creation and sharing power; community activities and programmes.

The role links with others across the organisation including our internal Customer Insight and Resident Engagement teams to understand our communities and supports our wider housing teams to deliver initiatives for the benefit of our residents.

The office base would depend on applicant. The successful applicant would need to travel between the different offices when required.

Role Specific Responsibilities

• Support the development and delivery of existing and new projects, initiatives and services that meet the aims of the Community Investment Strategy.
• Ensure these projects are outcome focused, that programmes/services are responsive to residents’ needs and reflect best practice and corporate priorities and meet regulatory expectations.
• To co-ordinate Community Investment projects and activities working in conjunction with residents, the wider organisation, contractors, and community partners.
• Support the effective monitoring and evaluation of community investment projects, ensuring that monitoring returns are received in agreed timescales and are accurate and outcome focused. Produce relevant performance reports and data as required.
• To provide support for the effective brokerage, monitoring, evaluation and reporting of social value across TCH contracts.
• Use customer data and insight to support our Community Investment work and to help build links with sections of the community who are not currently accessing our services.
• Attend networking and best practice groups as required. Maintain awareness of relevant government legislation and sector best practice and use this to inform your work on local activities and initiatives.
• Support the Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) process, helping to develop and monitor project briefs, donation frameworks, and grant funding (when grant processes are open), that respond to social needs and include measurable milestones, outputs and outcomes, budget management, risk mitigation and procurement. Manage service level agreements and freelance contractors.
• In conjunction with colleagues ensure that all areas of service delivery are effectively monitored and evaluated via the application of impact assessments, key performance indicators, social value outcomes and value for money reporting.
• Contribute to the review and development of systems, processes, and services to support TCH’s customer experience and service improvement aspirations, including through learning from complaints and feedback, and implementing change.
• Support our 3rd sector charity partners in ways that help them meet our residents’ needs, including supporting them to understand need and priorities based on data and resident insight.
• In conjunction with your manager and the PR & Communications Team promote community investment and social value projects, and outcomes. To demonstrate to residents, colleagues, and other stakeholders how we make a positive contribution to the neighbourhoods in which we work, that we listen to residents’ views and act on them and how projects and initiatives demonstrate our approach to treating residents fairly and with respect.

This role joins our Fundraising Team to inspire members and donors to support Surfers Against Sewage and protect the ocean.

Leading our membership, donor development, and legacy programmes, you’ll help raise +£3mil in total each year as a team, to fund our ocean-saving campaigns. You’ll develop and deliver the membership programme, ensuring members feel valued as an integral part of the SAS community, and communicate the impact of their support.

Taking an insight-led approach, and working closely with our Senior IG & Supporter Engagement Officer (Acquisition), you’ll ensure new members and donors have an exceptional onboarding journey, as well as ongoing stewardship. You’ll also work together to plan and deliver annual appeals, collaborating and coordinating with teams across the charity to raise significant unrestricted income.

You’ll nurture relationships with our legacy pledgers, in-memory and mid-value donors, both reactively and at key moments throughout the year. And in the longer term, you’ll continue developing and marketing our legacy offering.

Job Purpose 

• To provide a high-quality outreach support service that enables older adults with low level support needs to live independently within the community. 

• To a promote network services across the Boroughs to maximise their take-up. 

• To work closely with statutory and voluntary sector agencies to ensure appropriate services are accessed. 

• To ensure that service users have maximum choice and control over the planning and management of the service they receive, including initiating individual support plans and connecting them with culturally appropriate services. 

Key Tasks 

• To signpost people to appropriate services as required through outreach sessions in the Hub, Satellite centres, GP practices and pharmacies. 

• To develop shared working practices across the service network. 

• To work closely with providers of similar services 

• To work to agreed individual, team, and organisational objectives. 

• To work with existing activity groups at the hub and satellite centres and support the setting up of activities where appropriate. 

• To ensure all contacts with service users are recorded appropriately and to maintain an adequate filing system.

The role

As Forward Action’s Partnerships Officer, you’ll support the Partnerships Director to build and maintain strong relationships with our partners, so we can help them achieve change on everything from climate change to refugee rights. 

In this fast-paced role, you’ll manage the administration side of our partnerships, from initial contact and briefing, through proposal management, all the way to issuing contracts and drafting scopes. CEASE (the Centre to End All Sexual Exploitation) is a national human rights charity. Our mission is to expose and dismantle the cultural and commercial forces driving all forms of sexual exploitation in the UK. Sexual exploitation does not occur in a vacuum, and only by addressing the wider context can we hope for real, lasting change.
As a charity, we join the dots between our hypersexualised, objectifying, pornified culture and public attitudes and behaviours towards sex:
• We demonstrate how the mass consumption of online pornography depicting the humiliation, violation and degradation of women and children has realworld consequences.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated individual, who has a flexible attitude to lead on our Welsh language service within the Fund.

The Fund is a truly bilingual organisation. Our principle is to treat the Welsh and English languages equally by offering a bilingual service to our customers and grant holders on a day-to-day basis.

The role is essential to ensure that the Fund fulfils its statutory legal requirements to comply with the Welsh Language Standards under the Welsh Language (Wales) Measure 2011.

You will be the Fund's first point of contact for internal and external enquiries relating to the Welsh language and you will maintain an effective relationship with the Welsh Language Commissioners Office and with Welsh organisations. You will be part of the Fund's Communications Team and will work closely with our Translator to support our internal translation process.

The post holder will work independently to provide specialist leadership and support to teams within the UK to secure our provision of bilingual services.

The ability to speak and write in Welsh fluently and confidently is essential for this post.
