Job Purpose:Responsible for management of rental income across YMCA East Surrey Housing schemes to ensure accuracy of rent accounts and service user information held on the rent management database

Hours of work:28 or 35 hours a week. Flexible to be discussed though likely 3/4 days office based and one day from home

Main Responsibilities:

 · To process residents rent and payments received on the housing management system (Pyramid) in order to achieve rent collection and arrears targets.

· Ensure all housing debts are pursued with the resident and local authorities ensuring all actions are recorded and payment plans are agreed with the resident.

· Effectively implement the rent arrears procedure to ensure warnings and eviction notices are served in a timely manner and in accordance with legal procedures

· Pass to Finance colleagues all requests for relevant council tax payments from local authorities

· Ensure receipts from Surrey County Council are correctly allocated between rent accounts and any support element is recorded as Housing Support based on bank payments sent by the Finance team to the housing team. Provide Finance with this information so they can enter onto finance system

· Input bank credits to match bank receipts from finance and posting onto Pyramid (housing management system).

· Work closely with the Head of Finance and support them with the month end reconciliation of receipts and arrears balance

· Lead on Discretionary Housing Payments requests, benefit issues and enquiries with the local authorities

· Maintain accurate rent accounts on the Pyramid housing management system ensuring information is recorded accurately.

· Work closely with the Housing Team and Finance Team on rent and support income management developing good working relations with them.

· Represent the organization in court possessions and evictions where necessary.

· Run monthly rent reports as directed by Head of Housing and Head of Finance

· Work closely with the Finance Officer (income) in relation to any queries about rent charged and payments received.

· Provide cover for the Finance Officer (income) where needed (after training)

· Maintain and submission of pre-card card processes

· Meet with the Head of Finance, Head of Housing and Finance Officer (income) to review housing arrears monthly.

· Ensure processes are followed and systems are updated to support the Key Housing Performance Indicator targets.

· Contribute and represent the organisation in a positive manner in team/management meetings both internally and externally.

· Have knowledge of the external environment in which the YMCA works and keep abreast of key changes particularly around Welfare Reform

· To attend appropriate continuing professional development and training events and be committed to team events.

· Any other duties are required to be performed within the grade and renumeration of the role

The Institutional Funding Manager will play an important role in SHA’s institutional income generation activities. French and/or Portuguese language skills are desirable.

We’re looking for an Advice Service Manager to lead on the day to day management of our Advice Service and grow and develop our Advisors.

The Students’ Union Advice Service supports a student population of 50000 with case numbers averaging over 3000 per year. We’re here to empower students to exercise their rights and options if they encounter problems during their time at university. We offer one-to-one advice on academic issues, housing, money and student finance issues and student life.

We’re currently going through a service transformation, and we want to lay the foundations for a thriving and sustainable Advice Service, able to meet growing demand and complexity of cases. We’re embedding a new staffing structure, and we’re looking for an Advice Service Manager who can support our staff to transition into the more senior roles available. You’ll lead on staff training and development so that we achieve our transformation plan.

As well as management, you’ll be taking on your own cases. You’ll enjoy this role if you’re interested in the law and getting to grips with regulations and policies and you’re passionate about helping people to understand their rights and challenge poor practice. As Advice Service Manager, you’ll also be using your expertise in this field to coach your team on managing their own caseload and delivering high quality advice. You’ll contribute to building strong relationships with our stakeholders. This role will really suit you enjoy speaking to people and networking. We want someone who can build positive working relationships for access to collaborative working and new opportunities for the Service.

You’ll be joining a supportive team and have access to regular one to ones as well as external restorative supervision. We are looking for someone who has experience of advice giving but you aren’t expected to come with knowledge of all our areas. Training will be given. We’ll want to hear about the knowledge and skills you have from previous roles and how you can bring the skills you’ve developed and apply them to this opportunity.

The Role

As part of a new project to revitalise the church for the Island, we are planting the first-ever contemporary service into the Church as part of the HTB network of churches (including Harbour Church Portsmouth). We are currently building an amazing team to bring the vision to life. ABOUT RYDE: Ryde is just a 10-minute journey on the hovercraft from Portsmouth Harbour. Ryde is known as ‘the gateway to the Island with several main travel points located within it. The Church is a landmark on the island with the spire visible from many places around the Isle of Wight and from the mainland projecting beyond the town skyline. ROLE PURPOSE

Be the Team – as All Saints has never had a contemporary worship service before, this is really a church-planting opportunity. We’re therefore looking to build a team of people who are energised by helping one another and who want to serve the wider vision of the church rather than work in team- specific silos. While most of your work will be focused on operational excellence, we’re aiming to be a close-knit team who all help each other and where no one is left with too much on their plate or a task they can’t manage. This is a new role established to support our Finance Director and provide analysis of results and performance to support the Commercial Director, managers and trustees in their decision-making processes.

The ideal candidate will be proactive and a great communicator. They will have excellent interpersonal skills and be particularly good at communicating often technical information to non-specialists. They will work well with others including colleagues, clients and suppliers.

Experienced and dedicated, they will support the management of this venerable and much-loved institution and be flexible to assist the small finance team, especially in busy periods.
