We support hundreds of people a year to maintain their health and wellbeing, combat social isolation and digital inclusion through the varied activities and by signposting to relative local support services.

Job Purpose

To provide a high-quality outreach support service that enables older adults with low level support needs to live independently within the community.

To a promote network services across the Boroughs to maximise their take-up.

To work closely with statutory and voluntary sector agencies to ensure appropriate services are accessed.

To ensure that service users have maximum choice and control over the planning and management of the service they receive, including initiating individual support plans and connecting them with culturally appropriate services.
Key Tasks

To signpost people to appropriate services as required through outreach sessions in the Hub, Satellite centres, GP practices and pharmacies.

To develop shared working practices across the service network.

To work closely with providers of similar services

To work to agreed individual, team, and organisational objectives.

To work with existing activity groups at the hub and satellite centres and support the setting up of activities where appropriate.

About the role
- You'll research trusts and foundations funding opportunities to which IHP can apply.
- You'll prepare and submit compelling funding applications to trusts and foundations in order to grow our core income.

The Trusts and Foundations Officer will support the Trusts and Foundations team to meet income targets and develop and maintain relationships with donors and prospects. We are looking for a motivated, creative, and organised Engagement and Communications Officer to join our team. This role is a unique opportunity for someone with a passion for building a fairer legal system through impactful events, engaging member outreach, and powerful communications. Working alongside the Director of Development and the Head of Communications, this role will work across teams to maintain and strengthen engagement through events, communications and corporate outreach. You will play an integral role in communicating our work as widely as possible and improving and increasing engagement with our supporters, including our members, donors and corporate partners.
The Engagement and Communications Officer will work to maximise income and support for JUSTICE through events (approximately 45% of the role), communications (approximately 30% of the role) and membership (approximately 25% of the role). They will report to the Director of Development and Head of Communications.

The JUSTICE team currently work in a hybrid manner. Staff members have access to office space in London, however, attendance is currently optional. TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT LEAD
Principal duties and responsibilities:
- Plan and manage the resources and training in its overall design and content development to ensure it remains up to date and engaging and relevant.
- Identify and utilise the most appropriate platforms for delivery of different activity (eg in person, e-learning, webinar) to make the most effective use of resources and meet customer need.
- Work with subject matter experts, curating and creating content as needed.
- Work with and develop relationships with housing advice organisations and community groups to understand their learning needs.
- To develop digital content of the training materials, event video production, design brochures and training materials and keep these up to date and relevant.
- To be the first point of contact and provide first line support for all training and learning.

What will I be doing?
Management of CRUK's Data Security and Protection Toolkit (DSPT) accreditation and all associated policies, processes, risk assessment and staff training required for its maintenance
Developing and implementing processes captured within documentation across the Cancer Intelligence Team, including the delivery of training to and assessment of staff to ensure high level and consistent knowledge of processes for handling sensitive/confidential health data
Writing, updating and/or collating all relevant documentation required for successful submission of officially recognised data security accreditations
Identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies, including the maintenance of a data asset risk register
Providing technical support for applications to acquire data for the Cancer Intelligence team (including both regular updates of official statistics, and bespoke extracts of patient and other data that may require Research Ethics approval or equivalent), ensuring these applications meet the requirements of our data suppliers

We have an exciting opportunity for a Research and Evaluation Specialist to join our Research and Performance department at The Active Wellbeing Society. Our head office is based in Tyseley (Birmingham) and we are offering this as a hybrid role, including working from the head office, across Birmingham and home working, with national travel when required. This role is responsible for research and evaluation across all areas of the organisation to support strategic and operational decision-making. This includes primary research (surveys, interviews, focus groups, participatory research etc.) and data analysis skills to produce recommendations and actionable insights to drive behaviour change, and adapt and improve our practice.
You should have experience of designing and leading mixed method research projects (quantitative and qualitative), using a range of tools to analyse and evaluate a variety of datasets and interpreting your findings into robust recommendations. The Senior Finance Officer will sit at the heart of our Operations Team, reporting to the Head of Operations and the Co-CEOs and playing a crucial function in ensuring the efficient day-to-day management of the organisation’s financial functions.
This will include all day-to-day management of our financial systems and banking, including our accountancy software (Quickbooks) and our internal financial spreadsheets. This involves recording and tracking the income expected from funders, processing invoices and payments, preparing payroll and producing monthly reconciliations and termly budgets. You will also work with our teams to ensure compliance with our financial policies, process expenses and work with our external accountants each year to provide the information needed for our accounts.
You will also research, advise and steer on both necessary changes to our processes, policies and procedures and standalone project work which may involve tasks such as reviewing our pensions processes or any savings and investments. You will understand and enjoy the challenge that working at a charity with multiple complex funding streams brings.
You will have experience of similar work, ideally in the charity sector and will be familiar with the use of both accountancy software and managing cashflows and budgets using Excel. You will have excellent communication and people skills as well as a proactive approach to problem solving and be methodical with a very keen attention to detail.
