In response to this and government plans for expansion and provision an exciting Crisis Café referred to as Circle is being developed by HFEH Mind as part of the newly established Complex Needs Hub.The purpose of the Circle is to help alleviate mental health and wellbeing during heightened arousal or crisis through supportive therapeutic provision within the local community facilitated by the Circle team.

This Team Manger role would suit either a Health Care Professional (HCP) who is an established leader/manager or an experienced operational manager with a proven track record working with stakeholders in a Third sector voluntary agency, the NHS, statutory agency or other similar organisation. The ideal candidate would have worked as part of a multi-disciplinary team or operational managed a consortium or group of services simultaneously. Experience in promoting MH wellbeing services, involvement with crisis/acute MH presentations or working creatively on effective evidence-based de-escalation for CYP in the community will be an added bonus.

Main duties of the job

The Circle Team Manager role is a core part of the HFEH Mind Complex Needs Hub providing flexible and evidence-based episodes of crisis care and treatment to young people aged 5 - 18 presenting to Circle. This role will include having an overview and taking the lead in all mental health support and psychoeducation facilitated by the Circle for CYPs who are experiencing acute crisis. The Circle Team Manager will work in partnership with, and other agency leads to formulate strategies to alleviate MH Wellbeing in acute crisis using short term evidence based therapeutic treatment modalities grounded in psychosocial models of care.

The aim of the service is to provide psychosocial, holistic support in crisis to help de-escalate crisis presentations, problem solve difficult circumstances, guide mental health self-management and subsequently alleviate mental health wellbeing for all children and young people aged 5-18 accessing the service.

You will facilitate this by leading the drive for a systematic, collaborative individualised needs-based psychosocial approach to children and young people mental health fostering specific key relationships.

Essential Requirements

• Must have a minimum 18-month post qualification experience of working children and/young people in a mental health service as an HCP with relevant professional registration.

OR

• Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as an Operational Manager with relevant CYP mental health qualifications preferably educated to Post Graduate level.
• Working knowledge or management experience within services targeted at Children and Young people.
• Experience of using, collecting and interpreting routine service outcomes to inform service development/expansion.
• Some understanding of child development and psychosocial influences on MH presentations.
• Experience engaging a range of stakeholders and involving service users and commissioners throughout service planning and delivery

Purpose of job:

The role leads on key Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning (MEL) approaches and tools that enable and collate learning across our strategic programmes and funding streams. The role will work closely with the Head of Impact and Learning to deliver key activities and tools that will operationalise Comic Relief’s Learning and Impact Framework, including supporting work on the communication of our impact. The Senior MEL manager also plays an important role in shaping and ensuring consistency of our organisational approach to MEL, enabling ongoing reflection and adaptation to drive a process of continuous improvement in our funding strategies and practices. This role will also be responsible for ensuring that Comic Relief principles of shifting power and anti-racism are applied to our MEL approaches and tools. 

Sitting within the Funding team, our MEL team has two MEL Managers that this role will work alongside to bring together the learning and evidence from both our funded partners (our grantees) and Comic Relief staff so that we are better placed to understand our impact. 

Key responsibilities:

Strengthening monitoring, evaluation and learning

• Lead the development and maintenance of key tools and approaches that will enable MEL Managers and Portfolio Managers (who manage relationships with our Funded Partners) to log and analyse key evidence and learning in alignment with Comic Relief’s Learning and Impact Framework. 
• Lead on ad hoc and bespoke pieces of work that intend to build our knowledge base and improve our practices as a funder. This might include research, synthesis and evaluation.

Leading on key learning programmes

Senior Fundraiser

Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (UK charity number 1146220)

Friends of Ibba Girls School, South Sudan (FIGS), was established in 2011 in response to a specific request from local community leaders to help them build and develop a girls’ residential school in South Sudan.  Ibba Girls Boarding School (IGBS) now educates 360 primary and secondary school girls from across the whole of Western Equatoria State and employs 40 staff (teachers, matrons, cooks and other support staff). The school is on a large, green campus and provides not only high-quality teaching but a visible demonstration of the benefits of school education in South Sudan, where most girls leave school before the end of primary and very few achieve secondary qualifications.  FIGS is a relatively small organization but it is making a substantial impact by providing a model of good quality girls’ schooling across South Sudan.

FIGS has achieved notable successes – the school which opened in 2014, initially with 40 girls, has now reached its full size of 360 girls, with excellent exam results and has reduced dropout from school. It is nurturing empowered women who can exercise leadership locally and nationally for this newly independent nation. FIGS works closely with the experienced and widely-acclaimed Windle Trust International, who provide technical financial and organizational support to the school in South Sudan. 

FIGS has raised about £4 million over the last 10 years, particularly through relational fundraising.  Running costs for a boarding school in South Sudan are around £ 1/3 million each year, so fundraising is a key task for FIGS.

This is a brilliant opportunity for an experienced fundraiser with a strong and demonstrable track record to play a crucial role in expanding the donor base of FIGS, while sustaining and engaging the large network of existing supporters and donors.  You will lead the fundraising work and will use your skills across a wide range of fundraising functions, including expanding the number and range of individuals, corporates, philanthropists, schools, churches, legacies and trusts. 

We need the help of a talented individual to implement FIGS’ fundraising strategy and action plan, working with those Trustees who are able to give some time to fundraising and with solid help from a part-time fundraising consultant.  There is plenty to enjoy in the varied work, where one can see visible results in the impact it has on the school, its students and staff, parents and communities across Western Equatoria State and across the nation of South Sudan.

The post can be undertaken on a full-time or part-time basis (where part-time is at least 3 days a week).  It will be on a self-employed consultancy basis.  Hours can be flexible by arrangement. The person will work mainly from home, liaising online with Trustees and others, but some travel to events in London and elsewhere will be needed on an occasional basis. We are looking for someone to start as soon as mutually convenient. A contract will be one year in the first instance, and can be renewed subject to satisfactory performance.  The remuneration as a self-employed person is in the range of £35-42K dependent on track record and experience (or pro rata). 

Key responsibilities

· To support the delivery of the fundraising plan, achieving or exceeding targets and KPIs, both financial and non-financial as agreed with the Chair of FIGS Trustees and Chair of its fundraising group.

Stepping Stones exists to improve the lives of adults with learning disabilities. We are seeking an enthusiastic and agile manager who will be at the heart of the organisation and will lead a small team of qualified tutors and volunteers in continuing to provide high quality experiences for the people who attend. Stepping Stones is a thriving, longstanding and highly valued community organisation. We have delivered activities for over 30 years and our weekly classes are an important part of the lives of people who attend.

Our main delivery is a timetable of up to 14 weekly classes from our base in a multipurpose community centre. We also have activities off site including gardening at a local allotment and music and art classes at a day centre and residential home. Each week over 100 people benefit from our activities.

Main duties and responsible 

• Prepare and write compelling applications to charitable trusts and foundations who have the capacity to make five and six figure gifts towards the charity’s work;
• Prepare and submit scheduled applications and reports to current funders, ensuring that we hit deadlines and develop relationships with the trusts and foundations currently supporting Villiers Park;
• In collaboration with the Senior Leadership team, and colleagues in Fundraising and Communications, create engaging and accurate reports to current funders that share the impact of their support, including trusts, major donors and university partners;
• Develop and implement targeted stewardship strategies that bring current donors closer to our work;
• Identify new prospects and propose engagement and cultivation strategies;
• With the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships and Chief Executive, develop the trusts and philanthropic strategy to support the organisation’s five year plan from 2025;

In the role of CRM Systems Trainer, you will help to deliver a training programme which supports the new data strategy and infrastructure. This will replace two end of life CRM systems with a new single system, moving to a 'one record' approach enabling a smoother supporter journeys and a data and insight-driven approach to decision-making for the charity.

The Data Strategy Programme is made up of 6 workstreams including :
- The design and delivery of the new core Salesforce CRM with our delivery partner Deloitte
- Migration from the existing fundraising CRM (Raisers edge) and Animal CRM (Salesforce)
- Design and Delivery of a Data Hub to manage and connect up files, websites, agencies and systems to take in and transfer data and ensure we keep our records up-to-date

We are recruiting a Finance and Operations Manager to lead on all aspects of financial planning, management and reporting to First Story, to support the processing of all day-to-day financial transactions, and to ensure that the finance function is carried out effectively and efficiently.
