We3can is a collaboration between three cancer charities - Brain Tumour Research, Leukaemia UK and Sarcoma UK. We3Can is an ambitious collaboration of the three charities to fund research into prevention, treatment and cures for the most common childhood cancers: brain tumours, leukaemia and sarcoma. Its purpose is "Funding research into better, kinder treatments to help cure kids' cancer."

The three cancers it focuses on (brain tumours, leukaemia and sarcoma) make up 78% of all childhood cancers. The collaboration allows the three distinct organizations to come together with a single-minded vision to be louder, more powerful, reach more people, and fund more vital research. 

The brand tone is ambitious, collaborative, rigorous, trustworthy, optimistic and resolute in pursuing a future without childhood cancer.

We3can is a joint initiative created by merging the efforts of three leading cancer in children's  charities to maximize impact in fighting the most common types of childhood cancer through research funding and awareness.

Job Purpose:

The Project Development Manager will be the main point of contact for the collaboration. They will be responsible for implementing and delivering the project plan, monitoring, evaluations, reporting, all systems and processes, coordinating meetings, etc and for generating income through (mainly) Corporate partnerships but may include some Trusts and High Value individuals. These partners will be with organisations/individuals who would otherwise be outside the reach of any of the three charities individually.

Key Responsibilities:

• Create systems and processes for administering and managing the functions of the partnership.
• Ensure regular project group meetings take place.
• Lead on the promotion of the brand and communications activities in conjunction with the communications experts on the project group.
• Monitor website and social media activity.
• Promote and implement activities to increase the profile of the collaboration.
• Identify, add and manage a pipeline of prospective funders.
• Develop and implement a strategic income generation plan to and achieve annual revenue targets.
• Use the data base to manage reporting, indicator evaluation and to manager GDPR, Gift Aid (where appropriate) etc.
• Regularly report against the agreed KPI’s in the strategic income generation plan.
• Provide fortnightly written updates on activity.
• Identify and pursue prospective partners through research, networking and outreach.
• Develop tailored partnership proposals and pitches that articulate the mutual benefits to potential partners.
• Manage cultivation cycle - qualify, pitch, negotiate and close new business opportunities.
• Steward and renew existing partner relationships through exceptional account management.
• Work closely with the marketing team to develop co-branded campaigns, marketing assets and employee engagement initiatives.
• Track and report on fundraising activities including pipeline, projections and results.
• Develop fundraising marketing materials and content for website, social media, etc.

The person:

A highly motivated, organised, goal focused, self-starter with;

• 5+ years of corporate fundraising, sales and/or account management experience
• Proven track record of securing six-figure corporate sponsorships and partnerships.
• Experience of bid writing and supporter stewardship
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

About the Role

The CEO will provide leadership to Embracing Age and to be responsible for the management and administration of the charity, in partnership with and reporting to the trustees. We are looking for an exceptional philanthropic fundraising leader, with experience of leading an appeal and first-hand programme management skills, to undertake a one year maternity cover as the Interim Head of Child Opportunity Appeal. The role:

The purpose of this role is to ensure effective, efficient and accurate day-to-day financial management and financial controls for the Fidelity UK and international Foundations, including leading on management reporting, budgeting, forecasting and cashflow planning and delivering the annual reports and accounts for all four Foundations. The post holder will prepare all finance papers for Board and Finance and Investment Subcommittee meetings and will support the oversight of the Foundations’ investment portfolios. About the Role

The Insight Manager is responsible for transforming a wide range of data and information into insights and learning. This insight is used internally to continuously improve casework and is shared externally, with a variety of stakeholders.

You will use your knowledge to explain not just what the data tells us, but to present hypotheses about why it is what it is and what may happen next. Your role will include providing oral briefings to colleagues, but most of your work requires written communication.

You will ensure that the organisation is able to respond quickly to requests for information about the impact of its work, using your understanding of the Higher Education (HE) sector.

The role requires a highly collaborative approach, as it maintains a continuous link between casework, outreach and insight, public policy, senior leadership, and communications functions.

About You

As the Data and Insight Manager, you will excel in providing clear summaries of complex information, making appropriate use of different formats and images to communicate insights clearly, and working with communications colleagues to adapt and tailor this to different audiences.

You will have:

• Knowledge of the HE sector and of the political environment as it relates to tertiary education in the UK.
• Experience of using data to identify trends, themes, patterns and exceptions. Experience of explaining complex information simply, in writing.
• Experience of using Dynamics and Excel at an advanced level

As a Head of Development, you will:

• Lead and manage a portfolio of programmes within the schools sector

• Apply up-to-date knowledge of the education and schools sector in the UK to develop, deliver and co-ordinate our

  core programmes

• Deliver the growth target to annually reach 1 million children and young people by 2028
• Sit on the Senior Leadership Team working to develop current and new programmes in alignment with the charities strategic plan

We are looking for a n Interim Major Gifts Officer for a 12 month matenity cover contract, with a highly respected global environmental charity. The focus of the role will be to manage a portfolio of donors and new prospects, making asks and securing six and seven figure gifts towards a groundbreaking capital appeal campaign.

The Role
Manage a portfolio of donors and new prospects, making asks and securing six and seven figure gifts.

Build robust and dynamic relationships with supporters, both personally and with the wider organisation

Develop and deliver bespoke cultivation strategies for donors and prospects to maximise their giving.

Make face-to-face, telephone and written asks for support according to what will maximise the gift for each donor.

Identify areas that are most likely to engage donors and prospects according to their particular areas of interest or motivations.

The Candidate
Experience of working within major gift fundraising, including closing significant gifts.

Experiencing of managing a mixed portfolio of donors and prospects.

An understanding of the principles of relationship fundraising/stewardship

Either experience of working on a major capital campaign, or of working within a complex global organisation.

Responsibilities include:
You will provide oversight of the governance and reporting to SMT of the strategic transformation projects and support the team in the monitoring, tracking and reporting of the delivery plan projects to senior stakeholders 

You will have accountability for providing strategic analysis to our Senior Management Team and subcommittees to enable robust operational and strategic decisions. 

You will lead a dispersed team to coordinate and mature the organisations strategy management; business planning processes: corporate plan: programme/project management.

You will drive a high performing culture, inspiring, coaching and empowering your team.

You will collaborate with senior leaders and teams and have strong stakeholder management to build relationships across the organisation. 

You will use your expertise to partner with key stakeholders to champion our corporate processes and enhance our strategic maturity level to support our strategic ambitions.

Essential criteria

•  Experience of leading and developing dispersed, high performing team to deliver excellent service to internal stakeholders
• Significant experience of delivering the key elements of the strategy management system, and the ability to provide professionally presented strategic analysis to senior audiences 
• Demonstrable experience of program/project management and relevant qualification i.e. PgM, Prince 2 Agile Foundation & Practitioner
• Solid stakeholder management experience at senior level i.e. SMT and Chief Executive, incl influencing senior decision makers, teams and colleagues
• Ability to facilitate difficult discussions with diverse range of stakeholders
• Significant experience of collaborating with and influencing internal customers to create effective business processes
• Experience of making sense of complex strategic issues, and the ability to triangulate data and metrics with strategic learning
• Knowledgeable in business excellence frameworks such as EFQM
