We’re looking for a dog-loving Strategic Communications Manager, with expert working knowledge of communications strategy, planning, delivery and evaluation, to be responsible for a number of campaigns across brand and our international work.
What does this role do?
As Strategic Communications Manager, you’ll:
- build strategic plans for key projects, scoping, and planning for communications across the marketing mix (paid, owned, and earned channels), as we strive to improve animal welfare in the UK and worldwide,
- shape key messages for campaigns, often distilling complex information into clear narratives, using evidence-based messaging frameworks,
- brief external agencies and content delivery teams and channel leads on activity, closely monitoring to ensure assets and output are on time and to spec,
- deliver campaigns across owned, earned and paid channels
- embed evaluation frameworks from the very beginning of every campaign, ensuring success can be measured effectively.
First stage interviews for this role are provisionally scheduled for weeks commencing 17th August and 24th August 2026, and will take place on Teams.
Could this be you?
To be successful in this role, you’ll have experience of leading strategic marketing and communications projects, utilising excellent project management and communication skills to deliver and shape compelling stories and campaigns. This role will work on some of our brand and international projects, so we’re particularly interested in hearing from candidates who have experience working in these areas. You’ll have excellent stakeholder management experience, as well as strong evaluation skills, with experience of using clear evaluation methodologies. A commitment to Dogs Trust and the work we do is essential.

Lead a pod in our long-running Floating Support service: hold the relationships, develop placement students, and stay close to the work.
At Likewise, the core of what we do is build meaningful one-to-one relationships with people who are finding life difficult, and use those relationships to help people feel supported and make change.
We're recruiting a Pod Leader to join our Floating Support team. As a Pod Leader, you are the person who holds that relationship with every client in your pod. You know them, stay alongside them over the long term, and are accountable for their support, even though many of the visits are carried out by the placement students you lead. You're the person who stays, while others come and go around the work.
You also play a big part in developing your students. Most arrive with no experience of this kind of work, and a lot of what makes a pod work well is the way you help them learn to do it.
Floating Support has been running for over twenty years. It's long-term, flexible support for adults in Camden, in sessions of around two hours, wherever works for the person. We reopened referrals in 2024, and the service is growing, which is part of why this role matters.
Likewise is a community-centred mental health and wellbeing charity based in Camden. We believe that people thrive when they have access to meaningful relationships, supportive communities and opportunities to contribute. We're also committed to building a different kind of organisation, one that values trust, learning, autonomy and shared responsibility.
You don't need a specific qualification to apply, and we welcome people from a range of backgrounds. But this is not an entry-level role. We need people with a good amount of work experience behind them, including some real experience of support work, whether paid or through volunteering. We're more interested in how you are with people, how you think and how you work than in your CV on paper.
If that sounds like you, we'd love to hear from you.
Early applications are encouraged - we may conduct interviews as suitable candidates apply and we're ready to hire if we find the right person before the job ad closes.
We want to make our recruitment as inclusive as possible. If there is a part of this process where you may need reasonable adjustments to do your best, please get in touch to chat it through.
Your CV: we welcome either chronological or skills-based CVs, whichever works best for you.
Your cover letter: we will not accept generic letters. You need to answer the following questions:
Question 1. Tell us about a time you supported someone through something difficult. What did you actually do, what was hard about it, and what did you learn? This can be from work or from volunteering. Please answer in no more than 500 words.
Question 2. Are you applying for a 4 or 5 day role, or are you flexible? Just a line is fine.
We support often isolated, marginalised or excluded people by building authentic relationships and community together.

The client requests no contact from agencies or media sales.

Harris Hill are delighted to be partnering with a highly respected international charity to recruit a Head of Corporate Development.
This is a fantastic opportunity to lead a growing corporate fundraising programme within a values-led organisation making a real impact across the world. You'll combine strategic relationship management with new business development, working with corporate partners across the UK, Europe and internationally.
A real highlight of the role is the opportunity for international travel (approximately 6–7 weeks per year), with recent trips including Singapore, Japan, Dubai and across Europe.
The Role
You'll lead corporate fundraising, delivering an annual income target of around £900,000 through a broad portfolio of corporate partnerships. Unlike many charities, income comes from a diverse range of supporters rather than a handful of large six-figure donors, making strong relationship management and business development equally important.
You'll also lead a small team, use CRM data to drive fundraising activity, and work closely with senior stakeholders to maximise opportunities.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has strong corporate fundraising experience.
- Enjoys both account management and winning new business.
- Is a confident relationship builder who isn't afraid to make the ask.
- Is commercially minded and solutions-focused.
- Is comfortable using fundraising data and CRM systems.
- Has experience managing or developing people.
- Is excited by working with both UK and international partners.
Why Apply?
You'll be joining an organisation with an exceptional culture, a long-standing leadership team and an ambitious fundraising function that has grown from just 3 people in 2017 to 14 today. It's a collaborative, supportive environment where people genuinely enjoy working and where you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful global impact.
How to Apply
Please submit your CV together with a supporting statement of no more than 500 words outlining your suitability for the role by 12:00pm on Tuesday 25 August 2026.
First-round interviews: Monday 7 or Tuesday 8 September 2026 (virtual)
Second-round interviews: Thursday 24 September 2026 (in person, London)
If interested please contact Hannah at Harris Hill.
