This role is focused on delivery across London and requires regular in-person work with community partners, retailers and stakeholders. Candidates will need to be able to travel frequently and efficiently across London to meet the requirements of the role. We anticipate this will be most practical for candidates based within Greater London. 

Main Purpose of the Role 

We are seeking a dedicated, delivery-driven Project Support Officer to join our team, with a specific focus on hands-on, community-based project coordination. The Project Support Officer will play a key role in supporting, developing and delivering our Rose Voucher Programmes directly within local communities across London. 

Working directly to ARC’s Operations Project Manager, the Project Support Officer will be responsible for supporting projects through engagement with our local delivery partners. This will include working closely with early years settings and community organisations to support project delivery. The post holder will also be responsible for the development and maintenance of local retailer relationships, including engaging with Market Management Teams, supporting individual traders and retailers who are members of the scheme, and helping to identify new retail opportunities as required. 

The post holder must be comfortable working collaboratively with a wide range of partners, stakeholders and diverse communities, and should possess strong communication and relationship management skills. An organised approach to work and keen attention to detail will be essential to help support the charity’s activities over the coming years. 

Job responsibilities  

• Project Support– actively assist with the development, delivery and implementation of Rose Vouchers Programmes across London, working directly within local communities 

• Problem solving – in close collaboration with the Operations Projects Manager, investigate and resolve a varied range of issues in an efficient and constructive way, to support projects to succeed in ways that suit the needs of our varied communities.

• Engage with local partners – build and maintain strong working relationships with partners and stakeholders at the community level to ensure sustained involvement and support. This includes community organisations, local retailers, and local authority and public health staff.

• Ensure project targets are met but not exceeded (e.g. numbers of families actively supported by Rose Vouchers in each area) to balance strong delivery with working within budgets

• Support local projects to host and coordinate regular steering group meetings 

• Work with the Impact & Evaluation Manager to embed processes and procedures for data management and evaluation of project impact 

• Coordinate and deliver training for local project partners on how to deliver, monitor and manage the project locally and provide with required resources 

•  Support project partners in accessing and successfully using the charity’s digital project systems, including troubleshooting common issues.

• Support the distribution of monthly project data to funders and project partners 

• Support the development and administration of project toolkits for delivery partners

• Work with local partners and local authority teams to support the identification of potential new retailers

• Recruit and train new retailers and provide them with required resources and on-going support

Person Specification  

Knowledge and skills (essential):  

• Project coordination skills and / or an organised and methodical approach to work and attention to detail 

• Experience working within diverse communities

• Good communication skills – written & oral – with the ability to communicate with diverse audiences 

• Practical IT skills and ability to learn new systems – MS Outlook, Excel, Word, and bespoke charity project management and reporting systems. 

• Experience working with groups who may have time constraints or specific communication needs, such as families with young children, or individuals for whom English is a second language 

• Relevant experience within the community, health, or social support sector or with transferable skills

• A commitment to the vision, mission, and values of Alexandra Rose Charity in its efforts to create a more equitable food system 

Knowledge and skills (desirable):  

• Knowledge (or interest in developing knowledge) of food & health issues in particular how inequality affects access to a healthy diet 

• Background in public health, social care, or nutrition.

Spectra’s HIV Peer Support Coordinator will promote, co-ordinate and facilitate HIV peer support in commissioned London boroughs. The postholder will coordinate HIV support programming, providing knowledge and skills, and empowering individuals to access the support that they need.

The postholder will collaborate with local service providers supporting those groups in commissioned London boroughs, supported by Spectra’s HIV Peer Support workers. The postholder will represent Spectra at several levels, being a liaison between Spectra and a range of agencies and professionals working with the different groups across London, as well as with a range of people and their carers.

The role of HIV Peer Support Coordinator has been developed specifically for people who have lived experience of recovery after their own HIV diagnosis. It is essential that Peer Support workers demonstrate a willingness to professionally use their lived experience to support the recovery journey of others and as such should be comfortable to share their status with clients, colleagues and external agencies.

Welsh Language Coordinator

We have an exciting opportunity for a Welsh language Coordinator to support early years, childcare and play work practitioners with Welsh language skills.  

Position: Welsh Language Coordinator

Location: Home Based, Travel will be required to undertake this role.

The Role

As Welsh Language Coordinator you will support early years, childcare and play work practitioners with Welsh language skills. Targets are agreed annually between the Welsh Government and charity partners. You will co-ordinate the charity’s Welsh language project, encourage Members to embark onto the online self-learning course, and provide ongoing support to practitioners on increasing their use of the Welsh language.

Main duties include supporting the wider organisation and our UK and international customers through:

• To establish and manage robust procedures and systems to support the co- ordination, delivery and monitoring of the Welsh Language project
• Identify settings and recruitment of practitioners for the delivery of training courses
• Promote the development of Welsh language skills by providing information on the online self-learning course, encouraging practitioners to sign up for the training
• Provide support to practitioners to ensure learning from the training is implemented in the workplace
• Development of resources to ensure training influences practice
• Delivery of live interaction sessions with practitioners and other partners
• Collection of data, monitoring and tracking the progress of participants
• Provide regular written reports identifying progress against targets
• Systematically gather and record sector intelligence and research
• Carry out visits within member settings in North Wales to identify settings which may want to transition to Bilingual or Welsh medium status.

About You

To be successful in the role you will need the following skills and experience:

• Effective communication skills - fluent in both English and Welsh
• Knowledge of the benefits and value of the Welsh language in the early years sector
• Experience of using a range of IT applications including Microsoft Office/ Excel

Fundraiser (part time)

£18.10 per hour | 15 hours per week | 12‑month fixed‑term contract

Canterbury Food Bank - one of the largest charities of its kind in the UK - is recruiting a Fundraiser 

You will be part of a team helping to deliver food which makes more than 135,000 meals a year for people living in the district who are struggling. We have 200 volunteers and nine part-time staff who work daily towards this aim.

As our fundraiser, you will play a crucial role in securing funding and building relationships for our charity through compelling bid and grant applications. You will collaborate closely with various teams to gather information and translate our charitable initiatives into persuasive narratives that resonate with funders. This new role offers a unique opportunity to make a direct contribution to our core mission, caring for local people in crisis.

This post will contribute to Canterbury Food Bank being able to deliver its core objective of “supporting local individuals and families in financial crisis by providing emergency food”.

Job Description

Key responsibilities:

1. Events Marketing

• To oversee the scheduling, production and distribution of promotional e-mails for our events. Liaise with comms team to promote events across AvMA media platform To work on the development of the events pages on the new AvMA web site. Ensuring event web pages are kept up-to-date. To carry out data analysis and web analytics to determine what people are responding to and to highlight the areas we may need to focus/re-focus.

Events Logistics & Management

• In conjunction with the Head of Events, to undertake the production and organisation of events, including inviting and liaising with speakers and arranging event logistics. Effective liaison with speakers, ensuring they have all the information required to participate in the event and providing deadlines for receiving their presentation and biography. To work on site at events as required and run smaller events on your own. Duties will involve setting-up and administering registration, liaising with the venue, greeting speakers and exhibitors, dealing with enquiries from delegates and making sure the event runs smoothly. Production of the online conference documentation, to include speaker presentations.

Research & Event Development

• Help identify and research potential subject areas on which we may want to run events. Keep a close eye on the medico-legal events sector market and other events taking place. Help identify potential new sponsors and exhibitors for our events.

Events CRM

• Develop a sound understanding of AvMA’s new CRM, ensuring we optimise it for the efficient and effective marketing of events.
• To assist if/as required with bookings and booking queries for AvMA’s events.

Other

• To support the Events Department’s quality initiatives and to suggest continuing improvements where needs arise.
• To undertake other duties commensurate with the post as may be required.
• Deputise for the Head of Events when necessary 

Person Specification

Essential:

1. An understanding of, and commitment to, the values and objectives of AvMA.
2. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop effective and positive working  relationships with a wide range of individuals and organisations.
3. Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to manage and prioritise workload and meet targets.
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Confidence in liaising with speakers, sponsors and delegates.
5. Experience of organising events and on-site management of events, including in-person and online events/webinars.
6. Marketing copy writing ability, proof-reading skills, outstanding attention to detail.
7. Experience of using e-mail marketing platforms (e.g. Dot Digital) and social media to promote events and maintaining event web pages.
8. A high level of IT and digital literacy skills, including Office 365, Microsoft Dynamics and Adobe  In Design
9. Staying calm under pressure, a proactive and solutions focussed approach to problem-solving, ability to independently think on your feet.
10. Demonstrable commitment to Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

Desirable:

• Experience of working within a charity.

Job Title: Data Analyst, Selection & Outreach (Maternity Cover)

Location: Hybrid: the postholder will be expected to work in Rhodes House in central Oxford at least 1-2 days per week

Contract: 12 Months Fixed-term

Hours: We are open to full or part-time working arrangements, to be agreed with the successful candidate

Salary: £39,000 – £45,000 per annum (dependent on experience), plus benefits

We have an opportunity for a Data Analyst to join the Rhodes Trust, Oxford. This role will be responsible for the capture, analysis and visualisation of data to inform outreach and selection initiatives, creating impactful reporting for staff, volunteers and stakeholders.

While we are ideally looking for someone who meets the selection criteria, we are committed to offering development opportunities for the post-holder and there may also be some flexibility in the scope of tasks and activities undertaken during the maternity leave period. The role will be responsible for;

· Liaise with the Data Systems Manager to ensure smooth transfer of data from Selection and Outreach platforms (e.g the Trust’s application system, Embark) into the Trust’s Data Warehouse.

· Create and maintain, data visualisation dashboards (via an existing interface) based on real-time application data for the active application round.

· Develop and deliver clear and effective data reports/data visualisations for the Selection & Outreach team, the Scholarship Committee, the Board of Trustees and individual projects based on bespoke requirements.

· Act as a Salesforce ‘superuser’; provide support to the Selection and Outreach team in the creation of reports etc in Salesforce and share best practice.

· Work with the Data Protection Office and relevant cross-team groups to remain up to date on GDPR requirements, and ensure compliance across the Selection and Outreach team.

· Support data-related requests, including facilitating subject access requests in collaboration with the Data Protection Office (e.g. collating relevant documentation)

· Role modelling the Trust’s organisational values of commitment, inclusion, belonging, growth and innovation.

· Carrying out any other duties relevant to the role, as requested.

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Degree or equivalent in a discipline with a substantial quantitative analytical component (e.g. statistics, economics, management science/operations research, finance or data analytics) and/or relevant experience working as a data analyst

- Demonstrable expertise in deploying a range of software packages to manipulate and analyse data (please indicate software used in your application).

- Experience using Tableau

- Proficient in using MS Excel for data manipulation and analysis 

- Experience of using SQL

- Ability to tell a story with data using data visualisation skills

- Familiarity with CRM systems

- Strong research skills

Desirable Knowledge, Skills and Experience

- Knowledge of GDPR and experience of handing relevant requests (e.g. Subject Access Requests)

Strategic Implementation

Partner with the CEO to translate IMO’s strategic plan into a clear organisational roadmap with defined milestones, priorities and success measures. You will work collaboratively with the CEO to agree the order in which elements of the strategy should be prioritised, before turning this into the roadmap, milestones and delivery framework.

Work with the CEO and trustees to:

• Define strategic workstreams
• Establish measurable organisational KPIs
• Identify capability gaps and development needs
• Develop a structured strategy implementation framework that enables effective delivery across the organisation

Operating Model Design

Partner with the CEO to co-design IMO’s future operating model. This is a collaborative process, you will work closely with the CEO from the outset to shape the vision, ensuring the model reflects organisational priorities and is set up for successful implementation.

This will include:

• Programme structure and service architecture
• Governance and decision-making frameworks
• Internal processes and ways of working
• Data, reporting and impact measurement systems

Business Planning and Financial Modelling
