Job description

Community Fundraising Manager, Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation

London / Hybrid

Salary: £45,000

Closing Date: 6 November

Community fundraising is one of the most important and inspiring ways supporters can make a difference, whether that's through personal challenges, local events, in memory fundraising, patient and family fundraising, or creative "do your own" activities.

Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation is looking for an experienced Community Fundraising Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for delivering an established and growing community fundraising programme.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a people-focused fundraiser who enjoys developing people, creating direction and bringing out the best in others. While community fundraising experience is important for the role, this opportunity is ultimately about leading a successful team and ensuring a strong supporter experience that drives sustainable income growth.

About the Role

Reporting to the Head of Community & Events, you'll provide both strategic and operational leadership for a well-established community fundraising programme that raises significant income each year through a variety of supporter-led activities.

You'll lead a team of four colleagues, supporting their development, performance and progression while ensuring the team continues to deliver excellent supporter stewardship and ambitious fundraising results.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a brilliant team, a collaborative culture and a genuine appetite to build on existing success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, motivate and develop a team of four creating a high-performing and collaborative environment.
  • Work with the Head of Community & Events to shape and deliver the future growth strategy for community fundraising.
  • Oversee supporter acquisition, stewardship and retention activity, ensuring an exceptional supporter experience.
  • Use data, insight and market trends to inform decision-making and identify opportunities for growth.
  • Build strong internal and external relationships to maximise fundraising opportunities and collaboration.
  • Manage budgets, forecasts and programme performance to ensure targets are achieved.
  • Champion continuous improvement, innovation and best practice across the programme.

About You

We're particularly interested in hearing from candidates who can demonstrate strong leadership and people management experience. You may already be managing a community fundraising team, or leading a comparable supporter-facing fundraising function, but you'll have an ability to develop people, set direction and deliver results through others.

Why Join Guy's & St Thomas' Foundation?

This is an opportunity to lead an established and highly valued fundraising programme supporting one of the UK's largest NHS Foundation Trusts.

You'll join a collaborative and ambitious fundraising team, work alongside talented colleagues and have the opportunity to shape the future of community fundraising across three well-loved charity brands.

Application Details

If you're an experienced community fundraising professional with a passion for developing people and leading high-performing teams, we'd love to hear from you.

Please contact [email protected] for further information and details on how to apply.

Closing Date: Friday 6th November

Interviews: Week commencing 9th and 16th November (first stage online, second stage in person)
