Location: Hybrid working - Part London office-based (E14) and part home working. The post holder will work a minimum of one day a week in the office.

Breakthrough T1D is the UK’s leading type 1 diabetes charity, dedicated to funding research, advocating for change, and supporting the T1D community. A year into our exciting rebrand from JDRF to Breakthrough T1D, we’re looking for a Director of Finance and IT to help us build on this momentum.

We are seeking an experienced leader to join Breakthrough T1D’s Senior Management Team, in playing a critical role in the delivery of our ambitious 10-year strategy and ensure we are set for future success and ultimate impact towards our mission. 

A qualified accountant, you will lead the finance team in ensuring Breakthrough T1D is financially strong, providing sound financial stewardship, thoughtful investment, and values-led decision-making through a sustainable financial model that enables delivery of strategic objectives. 

You will be experienced in leading an IT strategy that works to strengthen our digital maturity, improving operational efficiency, enhancing cyber resilience, and enabling innovation across Breakthrough T1D.

Experience required 

• Senior level finance experience including developing, delivering and communicating financial strategy

As the Executive Director of Charitable Impact at Bowel Cancer UK, you will play a pivotal role in driving forward our mission: ensuring that everyone with bowel cancer is diagnosed at the earliest stages, receives the best possible care and that more people survive the disease and thrive beyond their diagnosis.

You will lead the charity’s research programmes, policy and influencing, patient services, healthcare professional education, and health information functions. Fight for Peace is looking for an exceptional Facilities Manager to take full ownership of our Academy in Royal Docks, East London — a vibrant, purpose-built space where young people aged 7–25 come to box, train, learn, and grow.

This isn't a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk raising purchase orders. As our Facilities Manager, you'll be the person who makes the Academy hum, from keeping us legally compliant and structurally sound to leading capital projects, managing a network of contractors, and making sure every corner of the building reflects the ambition and energy of the community it serves.

You'll have real ownership. You'll have a say in the facilities budget, shape the annual maintenance plan, and play an active role in our team. When something needs doing, you'll have the authority and the trust to get it done.

What you'll be leading:

The Academy is a busy, multi-use space — and no two days are the same. You'll oversee everything from day-to-day maintenance and statutory compliance to major refurbishment projects (including an ongoing changing rooms development). You'll manage our cleaning team, oversee IT infrastructure, run our room hire offer, and work with the income generation team to grow commercial use of the space. We’re looking for an experienced, passionate, strategic and creative Head of Development to join us as part of a job share and lead our support and capacity-building offer. 

You will have strategic oversight of our support offer to the voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise (VCFSE) sector in Somerset, leading on the provision of targeted support and infrastructure services. You will also lead the Development Team, develop a programme of forums and events across the county that support the training and networking needs of the sector, and work with colleagues to build our partnerships with local agencies.

You will bring significant leadership experience working with or supporting the development of voluntary sector organisations, groups or networks. You will have demonstrable experience of partnership working – including with the Public Sector – and knowledge of the principles of asset-based community development and empowerment.

This is a full-time, job share role, though part-time and flexible hours will be considered for the right candidate. The salary is £40,000-£43,000 per annum.

As Operations Manager you will oversee the parish’s resources: people, buildings, IT, and finances, developing systems and structures that are effective, flexible, and culturally responsive.

PURPOSE:

● To work collaboratively with the Vicar, Wardens, PCC (church council), staff and congregation, supporting St Barnabas with Christ’s Chapel as we live out our vision and implement our Mission Action Plan (MAP).

● To help nurture a staff and volunteer culture rooted in mutual respect, honest communication and shared responsibility, supporting healthy rhythms of work and life.

● To be responsible for the management of the parish’s resources of people, buildings, IT, and finances. Developing effective, efficient, and flexible administrative processes, and robust and appropriate structures for leadership, management, and governance (including statutory compliance).

As a leadership role within a Church of England parish, there is an occupational requirement for the post-holder to be a Christian and enthusiastic about the vision and values of St Barnabas with Christ’s Chapel.

Deliver hands-on advice, outreach, training and mentoring as part of a countywide partnership programme.

This four-year role, funded by The National Lottery Community Fund, sits at the heart of the Small and Mighty (SaM) infrastructure support programme, delivered by a partnership of Community First Oxfordshire, OCVA, Oxford Community Action, Charity Mentors and Volunteer Link-Up, working directly with grassroots voluntary, community, faith and social enterprise groups. You’ll help organisations navigate challenges, build capacity and connect with others through outreach clinics, tailored training and collaborative spaces. Alongside staff within partner organisations and the existing CFO and OCVA teams, you’ll play a key role in strengthening Oxfordshire’s community sector for the long term.
