Help us shape the future of our services

Suzy Lamplugh Trust is looking for an experienced and ambitious Head of Services Development to help us strengthen, grow and develop our frontline services.

This is a senior role for someone who can see both the big picture and what it takes to make it happen.

You will work across the organisation to ensure our services have the funding, infrastructure, systems, partnerships and performance frameworks they need to deliver for victims and survivors. You will help identify opportunities for growth, secure funding, mobilise new services and make sure that our existing provision continues to be high-quality, sustainable and responsive to need.

You won't directly manage frontline delivery. Instead, you will provide the strategic and operational oversight that enables our services and senior service leads to succeed.

What you'll be doing

As part of our senior leadership, you will:

  • Shape and grow our services – identifying opportunities, developing new approaches and leading the mobilisation of new and redesigned services.
  • Secure their future – leading and contributing to bids, tenders and multi-year funding proposals and building strong relationships with commissioners and funders.
  • Turn strategy into delivery – leading cross-organisational projects and making sure priorities translate into clear plans, ownership and results.
  • Drive performance and quality – overseeing contracts, grants, KPIs, quality assurance, compliance and organisational performance.
  • Strengthen how we work – improving the systems, processes and infrastructure that sit behind effective frontline delivery.
  • Build influential relationships – representing the Trust with commissioners, funders, partners and other senior stakeholders.
  • Keep us ahead of risk – maintaining oversight of delivery, contractual and operational risks and ensuring issues are identified and addressed early.

Who we're looking for

We're looking for someone with substantial senior-level experience who is comfortable moving between strategy, funding, performance and delivery.

You'll bring significant experience of securing funding for frontline services, including writing bids, tenders and compelling multi-year proposals.

You'll also have experience overseeing multiple services, contracts, grants or programmes and a strong understanding of commissioning and procurement, particularly within the public sector.

You'll know how to take an idea from opportunity to funding to mobilisation and delivery – bringing people together, navigating competing priorities and keeping momentum when things get complicated.

Just as importantly, you'll be a confident and credible relationship-builder. You'll be comfortable sitting across the table from commissioners and funders, working alongside senior leaders and supporting teams to turn ambitious plans into practical delivery.

Knowledge of stalking, harassment, domestic abuse and the wider VAWG sector would be particularly valuable.

Why this role?

This is an opportunity to have influence across an organisation with a clear and important purpose.

You'll have the scope to shape services, develop new opportunities, improve how we work and help secure the funding that makes frontline support possible.

We're looking for someone who is strategic but practical; ambitious but grounded; comfortable with complexity and motivated by getting things done.

Above all, we want someone who understands that excellent frontline services don't happen by accident – they need strong funding, infrastructure, partnerships, systems and leadership behind them.

About Suzy Lamplugh Trust

Suzy Lamplugh Trust was established following the disappearance of Suzy Lamplugh in 1986. For 40 years, the Trust has worked to reduce the risk and prevalence of abuse, aggression and violence, empowering people to live safer lives.

Today, our work includes specialist stalking services alongside our wider work to improve personal safety and influence change.

If you have the experience to help us develop what comes next, we'd love to hear from you.

This role is hybrid. Full-time attendance at our London office is required during the first three months to support induction and integration, after which the role moves to the Trust's hybrid working arrangements.
