The role will lead on recruiting and supporting event participants across a mixed portfolio (including guaranteed places, third-party event and challenge providers, international challenge events and CCLG-owned events such as our Big Hike. You’ll also take a pro-active role in growing CCLG’s own events programme, identifying, testing and helping to scale new opportunities, while maintaining strong reporting, compliance and supporter care.

The role
You will provide high-quality legal advice and representation at IAA Level 2/3 or Solicitor standard. Your diverse casework will range from assisting sponsored workers on high-risk visas, to managing complex human rights cases and supporting victims of modern slavery and trafficking. What the job involves
We’re looking for a Business Improvement Executive to join our Fundraising Directorate on a fixed term contract for 12 months. This role supports our fundraising teams by keeping core processes, data and performance tracking running smoothly, helping campaigns to be delivered efficiently and with a great supporter experience.
You’ll play a hands-on role in the day-to-day running of fundraising campaigns, helping to troubleshoot process or reporting issues, manage updates to performance tracking, and make sure changes are introduced with minimal disruption. Alongside this, you’ll work on a range of improvement projects that focus on finding more effective ways of working, improving existing processes and strengthening how we use data and platforms across the team.
Working closely with colleagues in Fundraising, Technology, Digital and Data, you’ll help review and improve internal and third-party processes, advise on new data management approaches, and support the effective and consistent use of our fundraising platforms and systems. You’ll also be involved in ad-hoc analysis and reporting, as well as managing some recurring data processes that sit outside the core data function. What we want from you
We’re looking for a Business Improvement Executive who is a natural problem solver who enjoys getting to the root of an issue and finding practical, workable solutions. You’ll bring a strong attention to detail and an analytical mindset, and you’re always looking for ways to improve how things are done. You’re quick to pick up new concepts, systems and technologies, and feel comfortable adapting to change.
Being a clear communicator, you’ll enjoy working with a wide range of people and priorities, and you’re able to explain more technical ideas in a way that makes sense to non-technical audiences. You’re happy working with data and using Excel as part of your day-to-day role. Experience with tools such as Power Query would be useful but isn’t essential. You’ll also either have some working knowledge of mass fundraising or be keen and able to build this understanding quickly by immersing yourself in a new area.

We are looking to appoint a Family Support Worker on a full-time basis (35 hours, 5 days per week) to deliver a high-quality family support service as part of our Thames Valley Care Team to families in the local area, at a time where they need it most.
Reporting to the Family Support Manager of the Thames Valley Care Team and working in partnership with health, education and social care professionals, you will take responsibility for providing needs-led emotional, social and practical support to families where a child/young person has a life threatening or terminal illness. You will enjoy responsibility for managing your own schedule, remaining flexible to the needs of the families on your caseload.

We are recruiting one full time permanent Funding Officer in Newcastle upon Tyne. Funding Officers in these roles will primarily be part of the North East regional team delivering our Reaching Communities programme, with opportunities to be involved with other programmes and aspects of the Fund’s wider operations as they arise. As a Funding Officer for the National Lottery Community Fund you will be integral to supporting the organisation to deliver our strategy It Starts With Community.
These roles will contribute to ensuring that vital funding reaches communities and projects who need it most in our region. As a Funding Officer you will work as part of our North East regional team, working day-to-day alongside fellow Funding Officers, supported by a Funding Manager.
We are looking for people who will work across the region, with a focus on developing relationships and being a key point of contact for Newcastle upon Tyne.
Ideally (but not essentially) you will live in Newcastle and have good knowledge of the local area.
The Funding Officer role is classed as mobile working which means you will be expected to work from Fund offices, from home as well as conduct visits across the region. The North East regional office is in Newcastle upon Tyne.

The Role
To provide a high-quality housing management and health and safety service, acting as a primary point of contact for tenants and delivering excellent customer service. The Involvement Officer role sits at the junction of lived experience involvement and our charitable objectives and will build meaningful collaborations and alignment between those affected by primary bone cancer, researchers, healthcare professionals and other stakeholders. The successful candidate will be required to build relationships with and contribute to key organisations and initiatives, such as the FOSTER and Euro Ewing consortia, like minded charities and Sarcoma Patients Global Network.
The successful candidate will co-ordinate and grow our Patient and Public Involvement Panel, which currently focuses on bringing lived experience to shape and review primary bone cancer research; however, we are keen for the voices of our community to contribute to our work across all our charitable pillars including our Support & Information service and our Influencing & Advocacy work. You will also support and empower our panel to share the work of Bone Cancer Research Trust more widely to their networks, ensuring a greater awareness of the charity and the impact of our work.
This is a varied position offering the chance to apply and further develop your expertise in involvement across areas such as the shaping and reviewing of research, the capturing and sharing of lived experience through written and video stories, ensuring our health information is patient focused and understandable, and advocating with and for patients both nationally and globally.
We are looking for someone with a good grasp of both the scientific and patient landscapes, who can balance attention to detail with big-picture awareness and work confidently in highly collaborative settings with multiple stakeholders and partner organisations.
