The Trust of St Benedict’s Abbey, Ealing, wishes to appoint a Safeguarding professional as a permanent position to continuously ensure that Ealing Abbey and its works are comprehensively assured to be safe environments for all.

The post is to be the Safeguarding lead responsible for ensuring the highest standards of safeguarding across all activities of Ealing Abbey. It is to promote an effective culture of safeguarding that protects the health and wellbeing of everyone who comes into contact with the Abbey, ensuring they can live free from harm and abuse. It is to support victim survivors, helping to bring their voices to the forefront in all our safeguarding work.

The role is to assist the Safeguarding Trustee, providing strategic leadership, policy oversight, governance, and cultural development in safeguarding. It is to ensure compliance with national legislation and the “One Church” Approach of the Catholic Church of England and Wales articulated through the Catholic Safeguarding Standards Agency (CSSA) within the safeguarding framework of the Abbey charitable trust.

This part-time role allows for flexible working hours appropriate for fulfilling the responsibilities outlined in the job description. There is the possibility for hybrid working.

Salary of between £40-48k FTE depending on experience.

When young people in care turn 18, all the support they’ve relied on can fall away, literally overnight.  Suddenly, they have to navigate adulthood on their own. This would be tough for any teenager, even if they could fall back on their family for help. So it’s not surprising that two out of three care-experienced young people feel unprepared to leave care. Too many still don’t get the support they need to make it safely past this cliff edge.

Care leavers aged 18-21 are nine times more likely to experience homelessness than their peers.

Settle exists to change this. We’re an award-winning charity, supporting care-experienced young people as they move into their first home, so they can confidently transition into independent living, avoid eviction and homelessness, and establish the foundations they need to thrive in adulthood. We are on a mission to end homelessness among care-experienced young people.

With our current Head of Fundraising leaving us to go travelling, we’re seeking someone new to help us achieve this ambition. You’ll have a lot to build on. Over the last three years, we’ve grown our income dramatically, and diversified our funder portfolio. We have strong relationships with our committed and supportive funders, underpinned by an organisation-wide commitment to fundraising.

This is a crucial role for Settle, and you’ll have the support you need to excel. In 2025, we grew our fundraising team from one (this post) to three. You’ll take on the leadership of an engaged and enthusiastic team, increasingly responsible for day-to-day management of trust and foundation fundraising. As well as inspiring the team to great things, you’ll have the opportunity to develop and deepen our relationships with philanthropists and high net worth individuals. You’ll have active support and engagement from me and the Board, with regular opportunities to involve trustees in your work.

Hours: The hours are full-time (35 hours per week) preferred, with attendance at funder events outside core hours as needed from time to time – part-time will be considered for the right candidate but we envisage at least 0.8FTE / 28 hours per week

Location: Hybrid working between our office in London Bridge and working from home – our standard expectation is at least 2 days a week of contact time (in the office, funder meetings or events). We have a monthly in person team meeting on a Wednesday, and hold our monthly SLT meetings in person on a Tuesday.

The Role of Director of Property

Effective management of clergy housing and glebe assets is critical to supporting mission and ministry across the Diocese which covers Coventry, Warwickshire and part of Solihull.

As we discern a new vision and strategy, we are seeking a leader who someone who can shape and deliver robust strategies for our clergy housing and glebe portfolios.

They will oversee 156 clergy houses valued at £18.6m and a glebe portfolio valued at c£34m, comprising commercial property, agricultural land, and farming tenancies.

Operation Smile UK is now seeking a Philanthropy Manager to help grow major donor fundraising, building new philanthropic relationships and expanding support from HNWIs.

As Philanthropy Manager, you will:

• Develop and implement Operation Smile UK’s major donor strategy alongside the Director of Partnerships
• Identify and cultivate new major donor prospects through research, networking (internally and externally) and peer-to-peer introductions through supporters and board members

The Trustees of John Wesley’s New Room seek an Executive Director to lead the organisation into the next exciting phase of its development. This role will suit someone who is a generalist, comfortable turning their hand to a variety of tasks and is equally happy contributing at a board meeting or engaging with visitors in the chapel. Most importantly, we are looking for someone with excellent leadership and interpersonal skills who can lead the staff and volunteers with confidence, cultivate a positive working culture, develop relationships with a variety of stakeholders and provide strategic leadership for the next phase of John Wesley’s New Room.

Our small staff team has undergone significant change in the past year to align with the future needs of the organisation. The Trustees expect this to continue in support of the newly refreshed strategy which will see a greater role for JWNR nationally and internationally, as well as playing an increasing role in the new Broadmead community following the anticipated redevelopment works in the local area, from retail to a more mixed residential and leisure offering. John Wesley’s New Room is the oldest Methodist building in the world (Grade I listed) and is a small but busy place where no two days are the same. Offering a chapel, museum and cafe by day, we also have meetings rooms and event spaces for hire, and welcome visitors both local and international on a regular basis. An important piece of Bristol’s history, the New Room is where Methodism started and the museum and collection tell the story of John Wesley. Leeds Survivor Led Crisis Service (LSLCS) exists to provide compassionate, person-centred, trauma-informed crisis support to people across Leeds and West Yorkshire.  Founded in 1999 by individuals with lived experience of mental health crisis, the organisation has grown to deliver a range of services for adults, children and young people while remaining rooted in survivor leadership and empowerment. Primary objectives: The Head of Fundraising manages a small, expanding team to deliver sustainable fundraising income. Hours: 30 – 37.5 hours per week with some flexibility on when hours are worked.

Salary: £46000-£50000 FTE Pro Rata (depending on experience).

Pension: We make a 5% contribution to your pension with a minimum of 3% from the employee based on salary paid. About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and empathetic Mental Health & Wellbeing Project Worker to contribute to the development and delivery of flexible support services which address the psychological and emotional needs of children, young people and families living with the effects of domestic abuse, in North Tyneside and Northumberland. You will help to develop, organise and facilitate key aspects of the service as requested by the Team Coordinator such one-to-one support interventions, group work, and youth participation opportunities in a variety of settings including in-house, schools and community venues. Post is to be predominantly based in Northumberland.

• Develop and deliver flexible one to one support sessions, using a range of interventions to assess and positively contribute to the individual wellbeing needs of children and young people impacted by domestic abuse.

About You

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for a part time governance and compliance officer to oversee our governance and risk framework as a non-profit regulated by the Charities Commission (England and Wales) and OSCR (Scotland).

You will identify, develop, maintain and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance and risk mitigation with the various regulations that we must adhere to such as Charities Commission, OSCR, Fundraising Regulator, Companies House, UK Data Protection and Safeguarding.

As governance and compliance officer, you will deliver high quality, professional and compliant governance across the charity, nationally and in supporting our network of support groups (see About IA) ensuring we comply with statutory regulations, that protect our members and the charity itself while applying best practice principles.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing and documenting a detailed understanding of charity practices, paying specific attention to areas where IA is bound by statutory regulations
• Developing robust policies and procedures that ensure charity compliance and best practice
• Remaining up to date with current regulations that IA is bound by and ensuring any changes are implemented within any imposed deadlines
• Regularly review and maintain policies and procedures auditing your findings to ensure exemplary record keeping following up with implementing changes

PERSON SPECIFICATION

ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE 

• Demonstrable experience of at least 12m in governance and risk management within a not for profit environment with working knowledge of UK charity regulations. Exceptional candidates from a commercial background would be considered

Mortlake Community Association is looking for an experienced Interim Director to join a vibrant and inclusive local charity in London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. The main purpose of the role is to maintain our growing profile as a community hub and support our range of varied activities. Experience of working with service users and volunteers in a local community setting is essential. The post is offered on a fixed term 9 month contract, starting in May 2026 to align with our Director’s maternity leave.

• 25 hours pw - Hours are flexible but we will require this post to be on site at least 3 days per week. 

The Interim Director is responsible for the effective day-to-day management of the charity and Mortlake Hall, including staff leadership and supervision, financial management, fundraising, partnership working, building management, and monitoring and evaluation. The role requires strong leadership and relationship-building skills to ensure MCA remains at the heart of community life in Mortlake; recognised as a model of good practice within the London Borough of Richmond upon Thames. 

Key Accountabilities: 

• Work with the Board of Trustees to implement the vision and strategic direction of MCA. 

• Take overall responsibility for the operational management and day-to-day financial management of the charity and Mortlake Hall. 

• Work closely with current Director of MCA in run-up to maternity leave and maintaining contact, especially during the statutory Keep In Touch days (KIT). 

• Maintain relationship with existing funders for the charity and ensure timely, accurate reporting. 

• Oversee building and facilities management, working closely with the Building & Facilities Subcommittee. 

• Ensure that the local community is engaged with the work of MCA through ongoing consultation, discussion and community planning activities/events. 

• Respond proactively to changes in the voluntary, statutory and wider sectors to ensure the charity’s sustainability while maintaining its identity and independence. 

Essential experience: 

• Senior leadership or management experience within a charity, voluntary, community or not-for-profit organisation. 

• Experience working with, reporting to, or supporting a Board of Trustees or equivalent governance body. 

• Proven experience of managing and supporting staff and volunteers. 

• Demonstrable experience of securing funding, including writing successful funding bids and managing funder relationships. 

• Experience of budget management and financial oversight, working closely with a Treasurer or finance lead. 

• Experience of overseeing projects or programmes, including monitoring, evaluation and reporting. 

• Experience of managing buildings, facilities or community assets (or the ability to develop this quickly). 

Desirable experience: 

• Experience leading a community centre or multi-use community facility.

She will work closely with the CEO, SMT and Trustees and she will provide clear, timely financial information to support sound operational and strategic decision-making and help ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation.
