As our next Chief Executive Officer, you will:

• Strategy & Impact: lead the development and delivery of a refreshed strategic plan and grant-making framework that focuses resources where they will make the greatest measurable difference.
• Governance & Finance: support and advise the Board and sub-committees, ensuring robust governance, high-quality committee papers and sound financial stewardship of the endowment.
• Operational Leadership: strengthen internal systems and processes, make effective use of Salesforce, and propose a right-sized resourcing model to deliver the Trust’s ambitions.
• Income & Investment Oversight: work with the investment advisers and Trustees to balance spending policy, long-term capital protection and responsible investment principles.

Overview

Involve Community Services is a local infrastructure charity that supports the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sectors of Bracknell Forest and Wokingham Borough. We offer development and governance support, funding advice, grant writing, volunteer and trustee recruitment, and a comprehensive training programme. We also run several well-being projects that include Community Navigation, Cancer Support and Social Prescribing within Wokingham Borough.

Role summary

The Community Development Worker will work across Wokingham Borough to assist small charities, community groups and social enterprises who have a health and well-being focus, as well as those organisations who aid residents with protected characteristics. They will assist organisations to find solutions to existing challenges and overcome barriers to optimise their delivery, e.g., through sourcing volunteers, committee members, funding opportunities, forming simple governance structures, and seeking premises.

The post holder will advocate for members of the community with protected characteristics as well as those whose voices are seldom heard, and act as a voice for marginalised groups, to aid inclusive decision making and delivery of services across the borough. The postholder will develop a broad, informed view of the local Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise Sector and will communicate this to colleagues within Involve, the wider Friendship Alliance (a collective of charities who have a shared interest in addressing loneliness and social isolation), and to statutory partners. ABOUT THE ROLE

Team: Resources

As the IT Infrastructure Engineer, you will look after the organisation’s IT systems every day. This includes both on‑premise systems and cloud‑based systems. You will also handle advanced technical support when issues are escalated. 

Another key part of your job is helping to plan and deliver IT projects.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Provide technical support and carry out daily maintenance on the organisation’s IT systems and applications
• Act as the technical lead for IT projects that support the organisation’s overall IT strategy
• Handle complex technical issues that the IT support team cannot resolve
• Lead the setup, maintenance, and administration of the organisation’s hardware, software, and core systems

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working on complex IT projects with a small, dedicated team, and engaging in advanced IT trouble-shooting and problem-solving. There will be opportunities to explore and implement new technologies as we migrate physical systems to the cloud.

ABOUT YOU

• Proven experience maintaining and supporting complex IT infrastructure, both in the cloud and on-premises.

  • Windows Server 2016, 2019, 2022 & 2025

  • Networking & VPN technologies
• Ability to install, set up and maintain IT server and network hardware
• Ability to install, update, and maintain firmware and software
• Experience identifying, reducing, and managing cyber security risks
• Experience working on tasks that are part of a wider project or programme
• Experience of the ITIL framework, change management and Agile working

We are looking for a new business focussed part time Global Trust Fundraiser to join a small team and play a critical role in securing funding from diverse sources to support the charity with their innovative development initiatives.

The ideal candidate would bring senior-level fundraising experience from a similar role at an NGO, organisation, or charity with an established network of executive relationships in major foundations.

The Role
Relationship Management
Oversee the complete grant lifecycle, from initial lead to application to reporting and closeout.
Build and maintain relationships with current and prospective donors, program officers, and other key stakeholders.

Applications & Fundraising Development
Lead the development of high-quality grant proposals, ensuring proposals are compelling, well-written, and tailored to meet the requirements and priorities of each donor.

Events and Networking and Representation
Effectively convey the charity mission, vision, and programs to potential donors, organising fundraising events while overseeing teams of volunteers and probono partners.

The Candidate
Senior-level fundraising experience from a similar role at an NGO, organisation, or charity.

Extensive existing network of senior executives with major global foundations and organisations.

Proven track record of identifying and closing deals for 6 - 7 figure gifts.
