Purpose of the Job 

Support the Culinary Lead in managing day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring creative use of surplus ingredients, maintaining high standards, and fostering a positive learning environment for volunteers and course participants.

Duties & Responsibilities

We are looking for a talented Shop Manager who is an enthusiastic self-starter, with a passion for charity retail, to manage our Warwick shop on a full time (37.5 hours per week) basis.

Relate is a leading relationships service, offering counselling, information, mediation and support to individuals, couples and families from all backgrounds and sexualities, at all stages of life. We also provide expert training for relationship support practitioners.

About the Service

We work under the supervision of the NHS Community Mental Health Teams (CMHT) across Central Bedfordshire, Luton and Bedford, employed and managed by Mind BLMK, who receive funding for this transformational offer. We are privileged to be able to work holistically with people who are under the CMHT, struggling with a range of mental health issues.

Our service users are people with a range of mild/moderate/severe mental health diagnosis of anxiety, depression, paranoid schizophrenia, bipolar, EUPD, BPD, substance misuse including alcohol and people with suicide ideation. Often people present with high risks and once we take them onto our caseload we support them in managing their symptoms to reduce risk and to enable them to access wellbeing tools and services, leading to improved mental wellbeing and a better quality of life.

About the Role

Community Connectors work as part of an integrated, blended mental health offer to support people, for approximately a 6 - 12 week duration, with emotional, social and practical needs to access a range of local, non-medical and non-clinical services, to improve confidence, social inclusion and independence.

This role will involve working as part of a multi-disciplinary team with statutory, third sector and NHS colleagues to support clients who are suffering from moderate to severe mental health difficulties. You will need to have experience working with those suffering with mental health illness as well as being able to demonstrate in depth knowledge of the services, support networks and local resources that may assist in improved outcomes for those dealing with complex and enduring mental health issues. The ability to be adaptable, work independently and the resilience to work in some challenging environments are key attributes for this role.

A typical day in the life as a Community Connector:

• 9.15 – 11.30: Attend MDT – discuss a number of patients and treatment. This is a weekly meeting at each CMHT for reviews of those under the CMHT and includes people who are currently on the mental health wards and individuals under a section.
  Discuss any high risk cases and next steps.
  Discuss those who are ready for discharge.
• 11.30 – 12:15: Add notes to database - that have been taken during the meeting – reporting on the discussion and outcome for patients (this includes identifying next steps for professionals and tasks which the admin team need to follow up on).
•  12.15 – 13.15: First Initial assessment with a new service user – introductions and getting to know them.
  Discuss goals and what recovery means to them.
  Carry out a dialog+ (diagnostic tool).
  Clarify areas for signposting and discuss wellbeing practical support.
• 13.15 – 13.45: Lunch break
• 3.45 – 14.30: Signposting for service user
  Update data base with notes from the initial assessment and upload any documents sent to services for the new service user.
•  14.30 – 15.30: Meeting with service user in local cafe. Review of goals and progress. Review any signposted services – has the service user attended? How are they feeling? What has worked/not worked and what could be improved? Set goals to be worked towards by next session – these could be simple practice of self-affirmation/ attending a yoga class/meditation or continuing work with P2R etc. OR more practical self-care – showering/ going for a walk etc.
• 15.30 – 17.00: Catch up on admin tasks; respond to new referrals; call service users to book in appointments or to offer any well-being check-ins.

As Head of Fundraising and Development, you will be a key member of our Core Team, working closely with the Chief Executive to secure and manage the resources that enable our work. Xenia is a grassroots women’s organisation working to create more inclusive, equal, and welcoming communities. Founded in 2016, we bring together migrant, refugee, asylum-seeking, and UK-born women through weekly Saturday workshops focused on conversation, connection, and shared learning. This role is perfect for an experienced and passionate fundraiser specialising in individual giving and looking to be part of an ambitious organisation focused on improving animal welfare globally.

You will be working as part of the Marketing Team at animal welfare charity, Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS), helping to raise funds to support the charities work, which in turn will mean more animals receive life-saving veterinary care.

As Individual Giving Manager, you will report to the Head of Marketing and take the lead on growing individual giving income. You will focus on retention to increase every supporter’s tenure and lifetime value while ensuring the right audiences are targeted to broaden support.

About Us

At Worldwide Veterinary Service (WVS) we champion animal welfare around the world. We send vets where they are needed most, provide expert veterinary training in hard-to-reach places, and ship urgent aid supplies worldwide, every day of the year.

We deploy teams of vets and vet nurses, send equipment and supplies to help struggling organisations on the front line of animal welfare, and train vets at our international training centres in India, Thailand, Malawi and the Galápagos Islands.  We also work on strategic one health projects such as rabies elimination campaigns with Governments and NGOs all over the world. Our Mission Rabies project runs mass canine vaccination and community education in the world’s worst hotspots for the disease. Since the project began, over seven million dogs have been vaccinated against rabies and over 13 million children have been educated in rabies prevention, protecting the lives of people and animals.

Last year, WVS helped an animal every 14 seconds. We trained over 4,800 vets, deployed teams of vets all over the world, and sent over 1,700 parcels of veterinary supplies to 261 charities in 71 countries.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Working with the wider Marketing team, devise, plan and lead the execution of fundraising appeals to meet agreed targets, growing voluntary income from both cold and warm audiences.
• Grow one-off and regular giving income, identifying opportunities for acquisition and long-term donor development.
• Build on existing programmes to create outstanding donor care programmes to increase long-term support.
• Manage the Fundraising and Admin Assistant, who will support you in developing campaigns and communicating with supporters.
• Attend networking and other events to raise both charity’s profiles and meet agreed targets.
• Promote compliance with GDPR, fundraising regulations, and best practice in supporter care.
• Some evening and weekend working, to include travel, will likely be required.

The Fundraising Officer will play a key role in the Fundraising and Communications team driving income from Events & Community as well as assisting with wider income generation and supporter care activities.

We are a small but mighy team at Doctors of the World UK. Our vision is of a world in which people affected by war, natural disasters, disease, hunger, poverty, or exclusion get the healthcare they need. As well as running medical programmes across the globe we also support people excluded from healthcare in the UK and advocate for their rights.

Responsibilities:

· Lead and manage strategic partnerships at a local and national level.

· Provide leadership and drive innovation across BBBC.

· Operational line management of the Heads of Delivery and Impact ensuring the successful integration of BBBC into Family Action.

· Oversee budgets, manage financial risks, generate income, and contribute to sustainable service development.

· Represent BBBC and Family Action externally and build strong partnerships to support integrated service delivery.

· Ensure high-quality, safe, and compliant services through overseeing effective monitoring, auditing, and continuous improvement in line with Family Action’s polices and frameworks.

· Be a key member of Family Action’s London team and the wider Senior Leadership Group.

· Strong track record in stakeholder engagement and cross-sector partnership working.

· Proven experience leading services for children, young people, adults and families.
