This peer support project is delivered in partnership with South West London and St George’s Mental Health NHS Trust to support Carers of people with mental health conditions.  This project will work to support Carers through one-to-one support, outreach, training and peer support groups.

About The Role: 

Using your lived experience of caring for someone with a mental health condition, and a strengths-based approach, you will support mental health Carers in their caring role.  You will provide person centred one-to-one- support, information, signposting, and advocacy, develop, and facilitate peer support groups and deliver training and outreach sessions at different locations across the borough. 

Key Requirements of the role Include: 

• Lived experience of Caring for someone with a mental health condition 

• Knowledge and understanding of mental health and the associated challenges and support needs. 

• The ability to work within the principles and values of peer support. 

• Confidence supporting people on a one-to-one basis. 

• Experience of / ability to facilitate peer support groups and training. 

• Clear communication and good interpersonal skills  

• Efficient organisation and time management skills 

• Developed IT skills, with experience using databases and communication platforms.

About the Role:
The Director’s primary function is to provide strategic, operational and professional leadership across Family Action’s services on the Isle of Man (children’s residential homes, secure accommodation, short-stay homes, wraparound and edge of care services, semi independent accommodation, aftercare services, family support and Family Time) - ensuring consistently high-quality, safe, trauma informed practice and provision that meets statutory requirements and best practice standards.

The Director will be the organisational lead for quality assurance, performance and safeguarding, responsible for designing, implementing and assuring robust governance, oversight, and continuous improvement frameworks. They will collaborate closely with Manx Care, Commissioners, partners, multi agency safeguarding arrangements, and internal teams to deliver exceptional outcomes for looked after children, care leavers and families - modelling the organisation’s values; people focus, can do, excellence and mutual respect.

Main Responsibilities:
• Provide executive leadership for Residential, Wraparound, Edge of Care, Leaving and Aftercare services, Family Support and Family Time on the Isle of Man ensuring alignment with organisational strategy and contract specifications.
• Develop high-quality, trauma informed, therapeutic approaches across all services, ensuring models reflect emerging research, innovation, and best practice.
• Serve as the strategic lead for safeguarding, ensuring compliance with organisational safeguarding procedures and statutory requirements.
• Establish, monitor and report on Quality Assurance frameworks, including audits, inspections, risk management, incident reporting, and service performance.

• Strategic and accountable leadership, leading the Directorate by motivating and galvanizing the team to achieve the highest quality services maximising outcomes for the children and families we support.
• Be part of the Executive Group of Directors and the Chief Executive, influencing organisational development and decision-making, resource allocation and future strategy.

About the team

The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships. 

The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. About this role

This role is a 12‑month maternity cover, supporting an important phase of delivery and development within the Philanthropy team. The postholder will work closely with colleagues to maintain momentum in new business activity while contributing to strategic account management and stewardship. 

The Head of Development is a senior role within the Philanthropy Team, with a primary focus on new business development. This includes identifying, cultivating and securing new funding relationships across trusts, foundations, corporates, co‑investment partners and high‑net‑worth individuals. 

Alongside new business delivery, the role also provides strategic account management for a small portfolio of high-value partners, ensuring smooth transitions from acquisition into long term stewardship. 

This role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy, with both roles contributing to the success of the Philanthropy Team. The Head of Philanthropy leads on deep stewardship and retention, while the Head of Development focusses on new income generation and building relationships with new funders and partners. 

The postholder will work closely with the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships, Philanthropy Directors as well as Senior Research and Insights Manager, contributing specialist expertise, strong delivery and sound judgement, while operating within agreed strategy and governance frameworks.

New business development

• Support the Director of Philanthropy & Partnerships and Development Director on the development and delivery of the new business plan in line with the fundraising strategy
• Works with the Senior Research and Insights Manager to identify emerging funding trends, opportunities, market opportunities and best practice

As Legacy Executive for Battersea, you will have the opportunity to gain further skills and experience of the fast-growing charity Legacy sector. In this role, you will ensure the fulfilment of the wishes of those animal lovers who have been kind enough to remember Battersea in their Will and in turn will be of direct help to some of the most vulnerable animals in our society.

In this role, you will:

• Provide administrative support to the Legacy Administration team, who are responsible for the legacies left to Battersea.
• Manage your own caseload of pecuniary legacies, including corresponding sensitively and effectively with family and friends of the people who have left a legacy to Battersea.
• Have the opportunity to manage a caseload of non-contentious residuary cases, maximising the gift to Battersea.
• Build relationships with supporters, executors, family members and co-beneficiaries to maximise Battersea’s legacy income and protect the reputation of the charity.

This fixed term position will support Scotland and the North of England and will involve regular travel throughout the regions. About the Service

The Community Outreach Worker plays a vital role in delivering the Physical Health Checks programme for individuals with severe mental illness (SMI). This position focuses on engaging hard-to-reach individuals, facilitating health checks in healthcare settings, community settings, and supporting follow-up care to enhance physical health outcomes. The post holder will collaborate with health professionals and stakeholders to reduce health inequalities and promote recovery

About the Role

The role ensures that individuals with severe mental illness receive timely and effective physical health checks, overcoming barriers to engagement and supporting continuity of care. The post holder will provide proactive outreach to improve health outcomes, promote engagement with primary care and support individuals to access and sustain appropriate health and community-based support.

The post holder will manage their workload independently, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure high standards of service delivery. They will also contribute to monitoring and reporting to support the success and sustainability of the Physical Health Checks programme.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the delivery of the Physical Health Checks programme
• Target and engage individuals on GP mental health registers who are difficult to reach
• Deliver physical health checks in healthcare and community settings, supported accommodation, day centres, and through home visits
• Follow up on health check results and liaise with GPs and social prescribers for onward referrals
• Support clients to access follow-up appointments and ongoing physical health treatment
• Provide one-to-one support tailored to individual needs (in person, via telephone, or email)
• Signpost and assist access to relevant health and wellbeing services
• Facilitate effective liaison between families and professionals, including GPs
• Hold a caseload of clients with SMI, delivering support through home visits and community-based interventions
• Monitor and review the safety and wellbeing of clients on a regular basis
• Maintain accurate documentation including participant notes and data required for monitoring and reporting
• Actively promote the service through GP practice meetings, events, and outreach activities
• Build and maintain effective relationships with health care professionals and community partners to support referrals
• Collect feedback from participants to improve service quality
