We are looking for a digital marketing expert to lead and boost engagement online, drive footfall to our visitor centres as well as events, and inspire more people across Yorkshire to choose a wilder life. 

This is a role in which you could make a world of difference, by bringing wild experiences to more people through colourful content and stories, leading to positive action for wildlife and driving recognition for our trusted brand. 

Close collaboration with colleagues across the Trust is essential, working with communication, engagement, reserve and visitor services colleagues to promote events, and a growing programme of wildlife-themed festivals and wildlife watching experiences. 

You will have experience of planning and delivering strategy to reach different audiences through channels, as well as creating or commissioning content that reaches audiences with impact. You will have an ability and interest in using analytics to help bring continuous learning and improvement to our activity.

About the role 

This vacancy is for a University Access Officer to work in three of our schools in Birmingham and The Black Country. The University Access Officer works with school staff at all levels, volunteer tutors and coaches, and with the rest of The Access Project’s team to ensure that the delivery of our programmes is optimised. The role is based in Moseley School, Wood Green Academy and Ormiston Forge Academy.As this job is based in three schools Monday to Thursday each week and regular travel is required, a full UK driver's license is advantageous. The role can be based from home on Fridays when online team meetings and training takes place. 

Role responsibilities

• Work directly with students, mentoring in an impactful, professional and safe manner. 
• Engage with school staff, your Programme Manager, and students in school to ensure that you have fully enrolled cohorts across all programmes. 
• Coordinate the delivery of the programmes across allocated schools, acting as the sole on‑site representative of The Access Project. 
• Assess student progress towards being able to make successful university applications. 
• Upload information onto the Salesforce database in a timely manner (training is provided). 
• Work proactively with school staff to ensure their cooperation and timely completion of activities, enabling effective communication to contribute to the smooth running of the programmes. 
• Present at termly school meetings with Senior Management to report on our programmes progress. 
• Support the wider team by attending university site visits which take place on occasional Saturdays and weekday evenings (paid time off is provided). 
• Any other responsibilities reasonably deemed necessary by The Access Project’s Programme Managers or Director

Training and Development 

You will be provided with regular monthly training so that you can develop your skills and succeed in the role. There is support from your line manager (Programme Manager), as well as guidance from more senior University Access Officers and the wider University Access Officer team across The Access Project. There are opportunities for progression, including several additional responsibility roles which are available for University Access Officers to apply for once they have completed their probationary period successfully.

Housing First Support Worker (28 hours per week)

Spitalfields Crypt Trust (SCT) is recruiting a Housing First Support Worker to join our specialist team supporting people who have experienced homelessness and other traumatic events.

In this role, you’ll hold a small caseload (around six residents) and provide tailored, person-centred, trauma-informed support that helps people sustain their tenancies, improve their wellbeing, and work towards recovery on their own terms. You’ll build trusting relationships over time, combining practical housing-related support (such as moving in, budgeting, appointments, maintaining a home and accessing community resources) with strong advocacy to ensure residents can access healthcare, benefits, housing services and specialist support.

You’ll work closely with SCT colleagues and a range of external partners across Tower Hamlets to remove barriers, reduce risk, and prevent eviction. The post includes completing needs and risk assessments, maintaining clear case records (including on In-Form or similar systems), and contributing to reporting and service learning. This is a values-led role for someone who is organised, resilient, and confident working independently with adults facing multiple disadvantage (including addiction, mental ill health, and long-term homelessness).

This is a part-time post (28 hours per week) with a salary up to £32,000 (up to £25,600 pro rata). Enhanced Adult Workforce DBS is required. Responsible for a group of young people, for one-on-one support and guidance or just gently pointing them in the right direction. You'll champion their support and learning needs with employers, and you'll be the ultimate liaison, working alongside partners like the job centre to ensure that nothing stands in the way of their success!

You’ll also be the guiding light for our delivery partners and service providers as we want them to deliver the best experience and outcomes for our young people. High-fives all around! Roll up your sleeves and deliver employability sessions directly to our incredible young people. You'll also help our Delivery Partners and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.

And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, you’ll also be keeping meticulous records of information and data on our young people, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey is accurately reflected in our systems so that it complies with our funding contracts.

We are looking for a Finance Business Partner to support some of our academies with clear financial insight, smart budgeting, and data-driven decision-making. You’ll work closely with Principals and senior leaders, acting as a trusted advisor and helping drive efficiencies across our schools.

MAIN AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Your responsibilities will include:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

• In-depth Financial Analysis
  • Produce monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports to assess business performance against targets and trends.

  • Analyse margin performance, cost drivers, and overheads, recommending opportunities for efficiency and savings.

Business Partnering

• Stakeholder Collaboration
  • Act as a financial advisor to various departments/Schools, supporting them in managing budgets, understanding performance, and planning.

• Decision Support
  • Provide financial modelling to support business cases, changes in trends, and contract negotiations.
  • Assist managers in interpreting financial outcomes and guide them on how to improve profitability and efficiency.

Risk Management & Compliance

• Regulatory & Policy Compliance
  • Ensure adherence to relevant UK financial regulations, such as HMRC requirements, Companies Act, and internal financial controls.
  • Monitor adherence to internal financial procedures, policies, and delegated authorities.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We would like to hear from you if you have:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
• Part-qualified or fully qualified accountant (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
• Commitment to ongoing professional development to remain current with UK financial regulations and best practices.

About the Team
Supporter Fundraising are a vital team within our fundraising department, who manage our involvement in all owned and third-party events, plan and deliver our virtual fundraising campaigns (such as Walk 5K April in 100 Miles in October) and steward and facilitate our community-led fundraising activity. Supporter experience is at the heart of everything we do, which helps us to drive engagement and retention and ultimately allows us to raise more funds to support autistic people and their families.

About the Role 
We are looking for a highly organised, proactive and supporter-focused Events Officer to support delivery across all elements of our London Marathon fundraising activity for 2027. Working under the guidance of the London Marathon Event Manager, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional supporter experience, delivering high-quality events, coordinating logistics, and ensuring our charity maximises income, engagement and brand impact throughout the full marathon campaign,  

What You’ll Do 

• Assist the London Marathon Event Manager with the planning and delivery of all campaign events
• Liaise with runners, volunteers, suppliers, third-party event partners and internal colleagues as needed
• Support the Event Manager with post-event evaluation, data analysis, and recommendations for future years

What We’re Looking For 

• Experience in events, fundraising, customer service or similar supporter-facing roles
• Strong organisational skills, with the ability to manager multiple tasks and deadlines
• Awareness of supporter journeys and audience-focused communication

This role is for a fixed term full-time position at 35 Hours per week, for 18 months.

About the team

Our Property and Facilities team is responsible for ensuring Shelter’s estate is fit for purpose and fully compliant for its staff, volunteers and clients. We provide a full range of professional services, including acquisitions, disposals, rent and lease negotiations, rating, estates management, building surveying, strategic planning, budgeting, compliance, health & safety and facilities management. We also support all office and shop relocations, refurbishments and planned maintenance projects, while our portfolio comprises one freehold head office property in London, 24 leasehold offices and around 90 leasehold shops across England and Scotland.

About the role

You will be responsible for all property related matters across Scotland and England for our diverse portfolio. That will involve making regular site visits, with occasional overnight stays. As well as ensuring all lease events are managed and actioned and properties are safe, maintained and fully compliant, we’ll also rely on you to assist with the development and implementation of robust policies, processes and systems to help manage the estate in an efficient and cost-effective manner. In short, it’s an incredibly varied role that will see you make a real difference in how Shelter’s commercial estate is managed.

Role Specifics

You’ll need a degree level qualification in a surveying/property related discipline and full RICS membership. You’ll also need a good understanding of the planning process and building regulations approval system. Self-motivated, capable of working both unsupervised and as part of a team, and with a positive ‘can do’ attitude, providing solutions, giving sound property advice and negotiating effectively with a variety of key stakeholders comes naturally to you. What’s more, you have good computer literacy skills and are comfortable working with spreadsheets and data.
