The Role

To provide high-quality, person-centred support and housing management services to residents living within Causeway's Mental Health Needs Service. Residents accessing this service experience moderate to high mental health needs, which may include enduring mental illness and periods of crisis. This role is available on a 6 month fixed term contract. The working hours for this role is 35 hours per week Monday-Friday. Flexible working conversations are welcomed as part of the interview process. 

The Service

We support adults living with moderate to severe mental health conditions, many of whom have experienced trauma, social exclusion, homelessness, substance misuse or other complex needs. Some residents may present with behaviours associated with their mental health, including heightened anxiety, emotional dysregulation, suicidal ideation, self-neglect or periods of crisis. The successful candidate must be comfortable working within these settings.

Residential Support Worker (Mental Health)

Salary: £26,229 per annum

Location: Hockley, Birmingham

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (Full time working flexible shifts Monday to Sunday)

Post holders must be able to work flexible shifts Monday to Sunday. There is also a requirement for the post holders to be available to work sleep-in duties (for which there is a separate allowance paid).

We are seeking a motivated Income Generation Support Officer specialising in fundraising to support the Management Committe and CEO. In this vital role, you will play a key part in supporting our organisation’s efforts to increase income.

4. Develop and support fundraising activities: Assist with community-based fundraising activities, including event planning and stewardship.

5. Collaborate with WSUN staff: Work closely with our team to gather insights and data for creating compelling proposals/applications.

6. Data Management: keep accurate, up-to-date records of donor/grant contact information, application stages, and reporting dates.

7. Develop and maintain our “Case for Support: analysing need, interpreting results and using evaluation reports to inform future fundraising strategies and content.

8. Maintaining quality and integrity - ensuring that all income generation activities are conducted in a transparent and responsible manner.

About the role

As an Independent Domestic Violence Advocate you will be supporting high risk victims of domestic abuse, who live in Cumbria. This role will be part of our other wider specialist services covering Cumbria.

As an IDVA you will be:

• Providing a high quality support and advocacy service to victims of domestic abuse.
• Managing a caseload; identifying and assessing risks and needs, providing a tailored crisis intervention service trough individual safety planning, advocacy, emotional and practical support.
• Working with other agencies and advocating on behalf of service users in order to help them access services to keep them safe.
• Working within a multi-agency framework consisting of partners as well as MARAC and other local partnerships to offer a coordinated response to domestic abuse.
• Promoting the service and raise awareness of domestic abuse through the delivery of training

You will need:

• Experience of working in support and advocacy with victims of domestic abuse is advantageous
• To be able to prioritise work and deal with competing or conflicting demands/needs and interests and promote organisation interests and values.
• To ideally hold a SafeLives IDVA accreditation, relevant degree, vocational qualification or relevant experience of delivering a service and working with domestic abuse victim's/service users in a statutory, voluntary or community work setting.

Finance Administrator – Job Description

Role Purpose

Power Up North London is a leading community energy organisation delivering renewable energy, energy-efficiency and retrofit projects that directly benefit community groups and public buildings. We believe communities can and must play a central role in the transition to a low-carbon future.

The Finance Administrator will support the effective financial management and integrity of Power Up North London’s financial operations. The postholder will prepare accurate financial and management information, monitor budgets, and support finance processes including cashflow management, invoicing, payments and associated controls.

Financial Management and Governance 

• Maintain accurate and robust financial accounts and processes.

We are looking for a part-time Communications Manager to support MDP in the communication of our work through social media, press engagement, community storytelling, and organisational communications.

To build migrant power, we need strategic, sharp, engaging, and sometimes humorous content on migrant justice and democracy in the UK. We need to tell the stories of our communities and why the right to vote is essential to different audiences through different channels - online and in the press. This role is perfect for creatives who have skills in graphic design, video editing, and copywriting; and can support the team with creative brainstorming on the latest social media trends, meme formats, cultural references, and political opportunities for posting. You will also manage MDP’s newsletter and website.

TERMS AND BENEFITS

• Fixed term contract for 12 months (with the possibility of extension depending on future grants), £38,000 pro rata (equivalent to £30,400 per year), with a September or October 2026 start.

CXK will be delivering 12 week NEET programmes across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. The programmes will run weekly in local communities where it has been identified there are a significant number of young people not in education, employment of training.  About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Team Leader to design,  implement and support the delivery of a high-performing programme across East Sussex. You will provide line management and case management support to a team of Youth Coaches and Assistant Youth coaches, ensuring young people achieve positive outcomes in employment, education and training while maintaining high standards of quality and performance.

We are looking for a Housing and Destitution Caseworker to join our small, impactful team and provide or co-ordinate advice on welfare and housing issues to migrants. 

ABOUT US

Hackney Migrant Centre (HMC) is a community-based charity providing free legal advice, casework support and holistic support services to refugees, asylum seekers and vulnerable migrants.

Approximately 50% of the people we support are homeless, and many are experiencing destitution due to precarious immigration status, the No Recourse to Public Funds (NRPF) restriction or whilst living undocumented in the UK. HMC’s work is informed by our vision of a UK where no one is forced into destitution, exploitation, or vulnerability because of their immigration status.

HMC is currently a small team of 7 employees, including a CEO, Community Manager, Immigration Team Manager, Immigration Caseworker and Access to Justice Coordinator, and an Administrative Support Officer alongside a larger team of up to 60 volunteers.

ABOUT OUR SERVICES

We are based in our office in Stoke Newington, where we provide immigration advice & representation and our housing advice and casework support services. We also offer regular community sessions in a local venue on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of every month. We call these sessions our ‘Wednesday Service’. The Wednesday Service has historically been the heart and soul of HMC, and it continues to play a key role in our service delivery, accessibility and community presence.

Our Wednesday Service is a multi-functioning hub, offering a warm, welcoming and accessible space for:

• Legal advice appointments with HMC advisors and external specialist partners

• Casework appointments with staff and specialist volunteers

• Holistic advocacy appointments delivered by our volunteers

Our team supports an average of 350 people across all our service areas.

ABOUT THE ROLE

The Housing and Destitution Caseworker will provide or co-ordinate advice on welfare and housing issues to migrants. This will include people visiting the Wednesday Service or referred by the Immigration Team. The post holder will assist with follow-up casework, and recruit and develop a small volunteer Housing and Destitution Support Team to support with these tasks. The post-holder will work to build partnerships with external specialist advisers, to expand our diagnostic advice provision and support with successful referrals for onward legal challenges.

Main duties

• Provide casework and advocacy support to homeless and destitute migrants regarding housing, and welfare entitlements including asylum support, Children Act and Care Act duties, mainstream benefits and homeless duties.

• Develop and coordinate partnerships with external specialist housing advisors to deliver housing advice and take on cases where able.

• Recruit and induct volunteers to a small Housing and Destitution Support Team and supervise their work.

• Keep up to date with legislation and practical guidance required to support destitute migrants, including attending relevant training sessions.

• Provide training to HMC’s volunteers on housing and destitution issues.

• Make referrals to public law/community care and housing legal representatives for complex casework and legal challenges such as judicial review.

• Identify where visitors need to access mental health or specialist support and escalate safeguarding concerns in line with HMC’s safeguarding procedures.

• Maintain records on all casework, regularly review progress during the casework journey, and ensure that cases are closed when support has ended.

Partnerships

• Develop links and partnerships with other organisations to enable effective joint working.

• Collect information, statistics and case studies on destitute migrants and the issues they face for the purposes of improving service quality and to meet the requirements of funders.

• Contribute case studies and statistical data to relevant policy/strategic legal work carried out by HMC and other partner organisations.

• Attend forums of organisations working in the sector to share best practice and evidence from HMC’s frontline work.

 Do you have a good understanding of the needs of people who are sleeping rough and are affected by substance misuse? Then join Shelter as a Support Worker and you could soon be playing a vital role aimed at minimising the impact of bad housing, homelessness and exclusion in the Sheffield area.

About the role

The role is within Shelter, but you will also be part of Sheffield City Council’s HALT team which is multi-agency and works to support people sleeping rough who have drug and alcohol dependence needs. You will work to help people to settle and sustain their homes, support them to access and maintain engagement with substance treatment services. Making sure that Shelter is central to local systems change for people experiencing multiple disadvantages will be a key part of the role, representing Shelter at multi meetings and panels as well as monitoring impact and outcome to report to our funders.

About you

You will have a sound understanding of support and housing issues and experience of working with people with multiple disadvantage. You also have knowledge of safeguarding frameworks, drug and alcohol use and treatment and pathways and experience of working with multiple agencies to support people. As the role will require you to visit people in their homes you will need a full valid driving licence and access to a car for work purposes.

Sheffield Hub has been established for over 25 years and provides support to over 5000 people a year across the city.  We work to improve the underlying systems that cause homelessness and housing problems, offering a range of help to people in the community, tailored to their needs. CXK will be delivering 12 week NEET programmes across East Sussex, commissioned by East Sussex County Council. The programmes will run weekly in local communities where it has been identified there are a significant number of young people not in education, employment of training. The programme has been developed to improve confidence, increase skills, resilience and introduce young people to working environments that might work for them. The aim is to provide a service to enable young people to become confident enough to be work ready.

The Team

The team will support young people from across the county, seeing them at CXK bases, partner venues or in community settings.
