About the role
We are looking for a passionate and skilled Trusts & Foundations specialist to complete a maternity cover. This role will continue to expand EngineeringUK’s relationships in this field and develop grant-funding as a core income stream for our work. We receive significant funding from grant funders already but are looking to scale this income stream. This gives the successful candidate the opportunity to create impact for our programme delivery, research and beyond. Whilst this is currently the sole role focusing on this area, you would be supported by the Director of Business Development & Partnerships and the Chief Executive, both of whom have experience in this type of fundraising. The Trusts & Foundations Manager (maternity cover) role is part of the Business & Industry team (11 people), who have responsibility for all funding and industry relationships across EngineeringUK. The team works strategically with stakeholders across the engineering, technology and education sectors, to support our mission to increase the number and diversity of young people choosing engineering and technology careers. Opportunities for funding include our bursary programme, in-school programmes such as Climate Schools and Big Bang Programme, supporting our community of Code signatories, and developing new programmes.
Prospecting and pipeline management is a key element of this role and once funding is secured, the postholder will account manage the relationship, including regular reporting, delivered in collaboration with programme leads. Therefore, in addition to being able to secure new funding, interest in and experience of delivering excellent account management is essential.
Whilst the core focus of the role will be on developing relationships with trusts & foundations and bid writing, there may also be some opportunities to explore key relationships we hold in government, connected to statutory grants and procurement opportunities.
The role is London based at our office at 10 Lower Thames Street, London EC3R 6EN and may involve some travel in the UK. About the project
Salmons Brook Restore and Reconnect is a bold and pioneering project. It will restore 3.4km of the Salmons Brook through Enfield Chase, transforming council-owned farmland into a thriving river landscape. It forms a critical early phase of a wider Landscape Recovery scheme, it marks the first use of Stage Zero principles in London, returning the river to its natural, pre-human state.
The restoration will create a dynamic, multi-channel system with wetlands and wet woodlands, boosting biodiversity and climate resilience. It will help protect around 2,000 properties from flooding downstream in Edmonton and has been described by the Environment Agency as “the single most important piece of river restoration work in London to date.”
Local communities will be at the heart of the project. Through inclusive engagement, especially with underrepresented groups, the project will turn the Salmons Brook into a shared space for nature, wellbeing, and connection, delivering lasting environmental and social impact.
Purpose of the job:
We are seeking a skilled engagement officer to work on our projects in London and the Thames Basin. This role offers an opportunity for the post holder to make a difference to diverse areas of London, with differing challenges and an array of ambitions.
Main duties and responsibilities:
· Map the communities in Edmonton to understand local demographics and identify key stakeholders.
· Through a range of activities and meetings, get to know, listen to and build strong working partnerships with community groups and leaders, organisations, institutions and residents, that support, enable, and champion the project.
· Run public consultations and focus groups with underrepresented communities in the environmental sector to explore perceptions, barriers, and ideas about the Salmons Brook River and Enfield Chase.
· Deliver bespoke activities and events co-designed with focus group participants, ensuring activities are culturally relevant, accessible, and responsive to community needs.
· Collaboratively design a Programme of River Acitivties, shaped by local communities and relationships with existing volunteer groups, offering inclusive activities such as guided walks, arts-based sessions, and wellbeing events.
· Build a catchment-wide community network, uploading details to Thames21’s CRM system in line with GDPR.
· Represent Thames21 and Salmon’s Brook Restore and Reconnect at relevant local forums and proactively recruit volunteers through in-person engagement events.
· Collect and record qualitative and quantitative data on events and activities run, including written and verbal feedback from partners and participants, photos and numbers of attendees keeping to GDPR requirements. Evaluate this information to develop the methods for engagement and inform future activities.
· Carry out the administrative duties to run events including conducting risk assessments and method statements, managing event registrations, liaising with local councils and community groups and maintaining and managing events equipment.

The Unifrog platform
Over the last 12 years, the Unifrog platform has grown enormously from its starting point as a simple tool to help students pick their UK university courses and apprenticeships. It now helps young people from 4 years old up to explore their interests, record the great things they’ve done, compare every post-16 and post-18 course in the UK and every undergraduate programme taught in English in the world, find and organise work experience, and draft their application materials. The platform also helps teachers and career advisers to guide students every step of the way, makes it easy for parents to explore the platform via their own accounts, and helps employer and university recruitment teams to interact directly with students.
We have a long list of exciting projects for the platform, always aiming to get us closer to achieving our mission. We are looking for someone to join Unifrog’s team to help us continually improve the platform’s existing tools, and to also develop new ones.
What you’ll do
You’ll work on improving the platform itself, mainly how data feeds into our platform and makes it work behind the scenes, as well as maintaining and improving the processes that drive our development cycles.
Your responsibilities will include:
Dev cycle administration
Owning our dev cycle administration from beginning to end, across Productlane and Linear. This includes:
Managing inbound product requests that have been logged on our Productlane account;
Updating Linear with developments that we aim to work on, are working on, or have launched;
Communicating updates to the team, including writing and sharing changelog posts, and creating clear documentation for changes that have gone live.
Testing functionality for upcoming or newly released changes to the platform.
Liaising with the team members for whom new developments are most relevant, to ensure that they have fed into plans for upcoming changes, and are happy with changes that have gone live.
Troubleshooting platform functionality issues
Investigating then answering questions about platform functionality that are raised by our partner-facing teams.
Point person for two technical integrations
Becoming the point person for questions about the platform’s technical integrations, specifically SSO, and Wonde (MIS integration).
New data projects
Supporting projects that improve how data feeds into the Unifrog platform, for example, scoping the requirements for changes to our tool that allows teachers to make bulk updates to student information.
You’ll become an expert in:
How the Unifrog platform works behind the scenes, with a particular focus on how complex datasets feed into the platform and power our tools;
Technical tools that are vital for school partners (e.g. SSO and Wonde);
The needs of all our different user types, including students, teachers, school groups, universities, employers, and parents;
How to navigate the platform as a user of each type;
Finding opportunities to improve our platform, particularly when data processing is key to success.
How our development process works, our product tech stack, and what is needed to make sure it runs as efficiently and effectively as possible;
You’ll be part of the team that:
Collates feedback on the platform, deciding which changes to move ahead with, and how;
Translates user feedback into clear, actionable requirements;
Investigates potential bugs and comes up with suggested solutions;
Communicates platform changes to the Unifrog team;
Answers queries about the platform from colleagues.
Working together
You’ll regularly be working with:
The Platform and Data Manager, who will support you in your development administration and project responsibilities;
The Data team, of which you will be a part, alongside whom you will work to maximise the impact of your projects;
Unifrog’s two co-founders, who lead on the development of the Unifrog platform;
User-facing colleagues, to understand what our users are asking for, as well to let them know what things have changed on the platform.
You will be line-managed by the Platform and Data Manager.

Product Lead – HOSTHub

Role Purpose
The Product Lead – HOSTHub is responsible for identifying, prioritising, and resolving day-to-day product challenges across HOST’s digital platform.
HOSTHub serves as the operational backbone of the organisation, enabling delivery across finance, legal, partnerships, and hosted partner services. In this role, the Product Lead ensures the platform functions effectively in practice—by understanding user needs, surfacing issues early, and driving the design, prioritisation, and rapid delivery of solutions.
While contributing to the longer-term product vision in collaboration with the leadership team and development partners, the primary focus remains on operational product delivery. This includes managing fortnightly sprint cycles, maintaining a dynamic and prioritised backlog, and ensuring continuous alignment between user requirements, internal processes, and platform capabilities.
The role requires a highly hands-on individual who thrives at the intersection of users, internal teams, and developers, with the ability to translate real-world challenges into clear, actionable product decisions.
Core Responsibilities
1. Product Problem Identification and Prioritisation
Lead the ongoing identification of friction points, inefficiencies, and system gaps across HOSTHub use cases, including those impacting hosted partners, funders, and internal staff workflows.
Maintain a dynamic, prioritised backlog of product issues and enhancements, informed by user insight and operational impact.
Work closely with delivery teams across finance, legal, partnerships, and community support to understand how the platform performs in practice and where it falls short of user needs.
Translate operational challenges into clear, well-defined product requirements that are actionable for development teams.
Ensure prioritisation is driven by delivery urgency, risk exposure, and opportunities for efficiency, rather than abstract feature development.
2. Sprint Management and Delivery Execution
Own the end-to-end delivery of the product, managing fortnightly sprint cycles.
Set sprint priorities, create and refine tickets, and ensure all development work is well-scoped, logically sequenced, and ready for delivery.
Collaborate directly with development contractors to run sprint planning, stand-ups (where applicable), and sprint reviews.
Validate completed work against real user workflows before release to ensure quality and usability.
Maintain clear visibility of progress, risks, and dependencies, escalating blockers and trade-offs to the Operations Director as needed.
Provide bi-weekly sprint reports outlining delivered outcomes, outstanding issues, and upcoming priorities.
3. User Engagement and Feedback Loops
Establish continuous feedback loops with both internal users (staff teams) and external stakeholders (hosted partners and funders).
Conduct structured user conversations to understand how systems are used in practice, not just how they were designed to be used.
Validate proposed solutions with users prior to development where appropriate, ensuring alignment with real needs.
Ensure user insights consistently inform backlog prioritisation and shape sprint scope.
Maintain a clear view of user satisfaction grounded in qualitative feedback, not just survey-based metrics.
4. Cross-Team Operational Alignment
Act as the central point of coordination across product, delivery teams, and external developers.
Ensure HOSTHub effectively supports real operational workflows across key service areas, including Project Hosting, Hosted Grantmaking, and Capacity Building.
Partner closely with Finance, Legal, and Partnerships teams to align system functionality with compliance, contractual, and reporting requirements.
Identify and resolve misalignments between team processes and platform functionality, either by adapting the system or clarifying and standardising ways of working.
5. Development Oversight
Manage the day-to-day relationship with the development team, ensuring requirements are clear and issues are addressed promptly.
Ensure all development outputs are practical, functional, and aligned with real operational needs.
Avoid over-specification and unnecessary complexity, prioritising simple, implementable solutions.
Track defects, rework, and technical debt, incorporating them into sprint priorities where they have a meaningful operational impact.
6. Data, Workflow, and System Effectiveness
Ensure HOSTHub captures and delivers data that is accurate, actionable, and aligned with reporting requirements.
Identify and implement opportunities to automate key workflows, reducing manual effort across teams.
Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure system logic supports compliance and audit requirements in day-to-day operations.
Maintain clear, practical documentation of key workflows and system behaviours to support effective operational use.

Work closely with the Legal Lead and Operations Director to ensure product decisions do not introduce unmanaged risk.

Redthread is a hospital based youth work service, working alongside NHS staff and other professionals in emergency departments.
Our experienced, specialist youth workers engage with and support young people, aiming to support them with their needs in hospital and post-discharge. We often meet young people at a moment of change and work with them to find a positive way forward.
We provide long-term, holistic support. We consider every aspect of a young person’s life and build support around them.
About the Mental Health Youth Work Service Pilot
The prevalence of reported mental health challenges in children and young people living in England have been increasing. In addition, research tells us that children and young people facing such challenges with their mental health are more likely to self-harm. For some children and young people, A&E Departments may be a first point of contact with healthcare services following self-harm. While in recent years the number of attendances by children and young people for mental health needs and/or self-harm have stabilised, there was a sharp increase in attendances following the pandemic. For children and young people who have gone to A&E for support with their mental health, such as following self-harm, waiting a long time in A&E can be hard. A&E Departments are often very busy and loud places and there is not always access to secluded space for those who have gone to A&E when experiencing difficulties with their mental health.
Children and young people who are also neurodiverse may find the environment particularly challenging and overstimulating while they are waiting to access care and support. This pilot aims to strengthen the offer of support to young people aged 11-18 in A&E, and also consider the wider social and emotional wellbeing needs of those individuals whilst in that environment and following discharge by ensuring there is follow up support for a variety of services.
The Mental Health Youth Work Service model has been informed by young people with experience of hospital attendances after self-harming, and their feedback has been used to shape the care we aim to deliver.
The service runs across two hospital sites in London: King’s College Hospital and Queen Elizabeth Hospital. There will be a team consisting of one Senior Youth Worker and a Youth Worker embedded in each site.
Where you fit in
This is an exciting new service working in partnership with Queen Elizabeth Hospital Accident and Emergency Department. The project is a pilot that aims to provide specialist Youth Work support for young people presenting to a hospital because of their mental health, and specifically where they attend because of self-harm.
The Senior Youth Worker will lead on the Mental Health Youth Work service embedded within the A&E department. This will involve line management responsibilities for the Mental Health Youth Worker, partnership working to build relationships both internally within the hospital and externally in the local community, and with both statutory and non-statutory partners.
The Senior Youth worker will be expected to support and build trusting relationships with young people who present with acute needs and are often in a crisis. They will manage a caseload of their own, with contact taking place both in the hospital and post-discharge in the community.
The Senior Youth Worker will ensure the integration of the service at their respective hospital A&E department, and work alongside the Team Leader in reporting, monitoring and evaluation requirements

Main duties and responsibilities
1. Building and maintaining the NSPCC brand and sub -brand(s):
a. Contributing and developing to the overarching and audience specific NSPCC
brand strategies by working with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
b. Setting and ownership of brand KPIs
c. Guardianship, internal brand engagement and activation, and stakeholder
management through all levels.2. Overseeing paid for advertising campaigns: managing creative teams/agencies and
media agencies to develop effective creative strategies and advertising assets,
underpinned by strong audience insight.
3. Working with Brand and M arketing Planning to develop an overarching annual
marketing plan to achieve our objectives.
4. Agency relationship management including our creative, media and research partners.
Holder of the main agency roster and responsible for developing and implementing an
interagency process.
5. Be financially numerate and be able to evaluate campaigns – ensure deep
understanding of budgets, marketing spend and financial report
6. Strategic planning support as required to develop marketing strategies to maximise
awareness and/or income.
7. Consultancy support for internal teams in best marketing practice and process
including briefing, campaign management and evaluation.
8. Development and management of the brand tracking research for both NSPCC and
ChildLine brands. This includes questionnaire design and insight dissemination and
influence.
9. To maintain the highest standards of knowledge on best practise and developments
within the marketing industry and the charity sector generally with attention to innovation,
legislation and codes of practice.

Person specification
1. Evidence of a substantial track record of success in working in strategic
marketin g, dealing with a wide range of marketing disciplines including through
the line campaigns, digital and social influence.
2. Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate and deal
with people at the highest level in a range of disciplines, and to successfully
achieve objectives through these contacts, involving problem solving, decision
making, negotiation, motivation, influencing, tact, diplomacy, persuasion and
consultancy skills.
3. Excellent copywriting and presentation skills with the proven ability to
communicate confidently and clearly to senior management level and external
audiences.
4. Substantial experience of marketing/media budget management and financial
planning.
5. Understanding of the media and regulatory environment and ability to deliver
marketing strategies and campaigns at a high level of execution.
6. Excellent ability to plan, monitor, and implement major projects to agreed
deadlines often with conflicting priorities.
7. Corporate and strategic thinker with excellent proven ability to contribute to the
delivery of a communication strategy, ensuring cooperative working and
maintaining vision.
8. Clear understanding of the strategic role of communications to impact on
positive business results.
