Access to Sports Project is at a pivotal moment in its growth.

Over the past year, we have secured significant new investment from major funders including National Lottery, BBC Children in Need, Sport England and Garfield Weston Foundation. Demand for our work continues to grow across North London and we are now ready to invest in our first-ever full-time Fundraising Manager.

The Opportunity

The Fundraising Manager will play a central role in managing and growing partnerships with key funders to ensure they are well stewarded, renewed and, where possible, developed into larger, multi-year relationships.

Alongside this, you will be responsible for securing new income, with a particular focus on trusts, foundations and statutory funding, while also supporting the development of additional income streams over time.

While the role spans multiple income streams, the primary focus (especially in year one) will be on trusts, foundations and statutory funding, with other areas (corporate, community, events) developed over time.

You will also help build the foundations for long-term fundraising success by:

• Supporting the development and delivery of a fundraising strategy
• Helping implement a CRM system to manage relationships and pipeline
• Strengthening monitoring and evaluation approaches to evidence impact and support funding

This role does not initially involve line management, but you will lead the fundraising function and play a key role in shaping its future growth.

Key Responsibilities

Trusts, Foundations & Statutory Funding

• Write high-quality funding applications, cases for support and grant reports
• Manage and steward a portfolio of existing funders, maximising renewal and uplift opportunities
• Research, develop and submit new funding applications
• Work with delivery staff to gather impact data, outcomes and case studies

Systems, Data & Insight

• Develop and implement a clear monitoring and evaluation approach to support fundraising, reporting and impact measurement
• Research, recommend and help implement a CRM system for fundraising and relationship management
• Track income, prospects, deadlines and reporting requirements
• Produce clear fundraising reports and insights for the CEO and trustees

Relationship Management & New Business

• Build strong, long-term relationships with funders, partners and supporters
• Represent The Access to Sports Project at meetings, events, funder visits and site visits
• Work with the CEO and trustees to unlock networks and cultivate new opportunities

Fundraising Strategy & Delivery

• Co-develop a 3-year fundraising strategy with the Chief Executive and external fundraising consultant
• Translate strategy into clear annual plans, pipelines and targets
• Take ownership of day-to-day delivery and implementation

Collaboration & Culture

• Work closely with delivery teams, coaches and managers to understand programmes and impact
• Be an active, visible part of a small, close-knit and supportive team
• Spend time on programmes and community activity to stay connected to the young people and communities we serve

You’ll be embedded within our sports environment at Sobell Leisure Centre. You’ll regularly be close to delivery, impact and the energy of community sport.

About You

We’re looking for someone who is ambitious, proactive, relationship-led and values-driven.

Essential

• Proven experience securing income from trusts, foundations and/or statutory bodies (including 5-figure or significant grants).
• Strong bid writing and grant reporting skills
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple funding deadlines and priorities
• Strong organisational and project management skills
• Confidence working independently while collaborating closely with senior stakeholders

Desirable

• Experience across corporate fundraising, community fundraising, events or individual giving
• Experience implementing or working with a CRM
• Experience in a small or growing charity environment

We are looking for a proactive and organised Individual Fundraising Coordinator to support the delivery of our individual giving and digital fundraising programme during a maternity cover period.

In this role, you will contribute to donor stewardship, digital fundraising campaigns, and supporter communications, helping to ensure a high-quality and consistent experience for Lumos supporters.

Specifically the post holder will manage the small trust portfolio, support with reporting on KPIs and impact, create engaging cases for support, and support the Manager with various tasks, freeing them up to develop larger, strategic bids.

About the Role:

The Woodland Trust is looking for a Conservation Evidence Officer to support the UK-wide Conservation Outcomes and Evidence Team by using research, monitoring, and evidence to guide conservation work.

The Role:

• Lead delivery of key Woodland Trust research and evidence projects and have input to projects and programmes across the Trust and the sector.
• Search, collate, review and synthesise evidence from the scientific and grey literature.
• Use and interpret evidence from a wide range of sources, including direct consultation with experts/stakeholders.
• Prepare manuscripts for publication to scientific peer-reviewed journals and grey literature.

• This is a hybrid position with a mix of home working, and from our head office in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Head office attendance would be required no more than once a month on average. Occasional travel to other offices and locations may also be required.

The Candidate:

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex scientific concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong understanding of UK conservation and environmental issues, particularly relating to native trees, woodlands, and associated wildlife.
• Experience in scientific publishing, grey literature, and science communication.
• Proficiency in statistical and spatial analysis software (R and ArcGIS is desirable).
• Experience working with applied scientific data, including designing and conducting research projects, and interpreting, analysing, and presenting findings with strong attention to detail.
• Proven ability to critically evaluate evidence and develop persuasive, evidence-based arguments for advocacy purposes.
• Degree in conservation, ecology, environmental or biological sciences; PhD desirable.
• Fieldwork experience is desirable.

Role Purpose

The Adult Bereavement Counsellor provides therapeutic support to adults- particularly parents and carers- who are experiencing acute or complex grief following the death of a child.

The post holder will provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments and deliver therapeutic interventions working therapeutically using a range of counselling methods, approaches, and techniques, consistent with Level 3 of the NICE psychological intervention framework (2004).

They will also deliver crisis interventions where appropriate to ensure emotional safety and stability. In addition, the role includes designing and implementing a variety of therapeutic interventions across individual, couple, and group contexts, drawing on different models as required.

Main Responsibilities

Job Purpose

The Area Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for Treasures Foundation’s new ambulatory detox facility and first-stage supported housing service. Role Purpose

The Education Trainer supports the Education Manager in the design and delivery of specialist, evidence-informed trainings programmes for education professionals equipping them to support bereaved children, young people, adults and communities.

Using trauma-informed, evidence-based content delivered through both digital platforms and in-person, the role ensures schools and educational staff have practical tools to identify, respond to, support and/or refer bereaved children, young people and adults.

We are recruiting for two Education Trainers, both to work full-time hours (35 per week). One term-time only and the other to work year-round.

• Working collaboratively with the Education Team and the team’s administrator to co-ordinate training requests responses.

• At least three years’ recent experience (in the past six years) of delivering training to professionals

• Experience of liaising with and working alongside organisations that support children and young people
• Experience of working with vulnerable communities
• Experience of delivering training using a digital platform

First Stage Screening Interviews

You may be asked to attend a 10-minute Screening Interview on MS Teams with the Hiring Managers for the vacancy, to assess your suitability for the role. During the interview, you will be asked two skills-based questions.

Second Stage Interviews

If you are progressed to a second stage interview, you will be invited to attend a 1-hour formal interview on MS Teams with the Hiring Managers for the role. It is our policy to share the role-specific interview questions with applicants ahead of the interview, to aid their preparation. You may also be asked to complete an interview task, which will also be shared with you in advance.

Youth Team Forum Discussion

For roles in our Bereavement Services Team, we will invite those applicants selected for interview along to a discussion forum with members of our Youth Team. This session is held remotely and lasts approximately 20 minutes. The discussion topic will be shared with you in advance of the session.

Hours: Full-time

Remuneration: Up to £80,000 GBP gross annual pro rata (dependent on experience). We are open to considering applications on a substantial part-time basis for the right candidate.

We are seeking an Interim Director of Fundraising (Maternity Cover) to lead our fundraising and communications function, accelerating voluntary income growth to support the organisation’s humanitarian impact.

As a key member of our leadership team, you will lead and deliver our fundraising and communications strategy to maximise emergency fundraising, build a community of advocates and repeat givers and build meaningful partnerships with philanthropists and foundations. Our small and talented Communications Team, focused on growing our audiences and awareness across media and digital channels, reports into this role.
