Community Marketing Manager  for CharityConnect/CharityJob

12-month Fixed Term Contract - Hybrid  £37,000 - £40,000

CharityJob is the UK's most trusted job board for the charity sector.   CharityConnect is our community platform.  In 2026/27 we're integrating CharityConnect more closely with CharityJob, and turning it into something the sector wants to be a part of.   The strategy is in place. What's needed now is someone with the energy, creativity and commercial instinct to execute it. 

You'll have genuine ownership, a clear brief, and the opportunity to build something the sector will love. 

What you'll be doing 

This is a hands-on, varied role. You'll own the day-to-day running and growth of Charity Connect, managing the community, planning and delivering events, running email and social campaigns, building sector partnerships, and growing our audience. 

You'll be: 

• Managing our online community.Seeding discussions, supporting super users and refreshing content 

• Planning and delivering a minimum of 10 networking events across the year, including sourcing and managing high-profile sector speakers 

• Driving audience and registration growth through targeted email campaigns and owned channel activity 

• Increasing in-platform engagement through relevant content

• Working with our product and design teams to integrate the CharityConnect and CharityJob brands, creating clearer user journeys between the two platforms 

• Building relationships with sector bodies for co-branded content partnerships 

• Managing early-stage commercial activity including newsletter sponsorship and event sponsorship 

• Owning our KPI framework, reporting monthly to the senior team against agreed targets 

You'll thrive in this role if you 

• Have experience in community management and/or digital marketing, ideally within a membership body, media brand or digital platform 

• Are a strong, confident communicator who can craft discussion threads, newsletters and emails that genuinely engage our community 

• Know how to grow and engage an online audience and have the data literacy to understand what's working and what isn't 

• Are organised enough to juggle events, campaigns, partnerships and community management simultaneously

• Can build relationships with senior sector figures.From event speakers to commercial sponsors, and make them feel valued 

Experience with email platforms, OneSignal, basic SEO and sponsorship relationships would be a bonus, but we're more interested in the right person than a perfect checklist.

Role Purpose

Supports delivery of our email and CRM marketing strategy, bringing the story of Trussell and our community of food banks to life through insight-led communications.  Working alongside the Email & CRM Marketing Manager and collaborate with insight, fundraising, mobilising and wider programme teams to build and deliver highly engaging communications and journeys.

Key Responsibilities

Email design and delivery

· Support the Email Marketing and CRM Manager in designing and delivering insight‑led, data‑driven email campaigns and supporter journeys that strengthen engagement and drive activity that delivers programme goals.

Journey and automation delivery

· Work with teams across the organisation to build and deliver email journeys and automated workflows for a range of audiences, supporting effective CRM campaign delivery and driving stronger audience engagement.

Analysis and reporting

· Support the analysis and reporting of email performance, working with Insight, Supporter Data teams and audience owners to identify trends, evaluate effectiveness, and implement improvements.

Segmentation and data management

· Aid with the creation and management of audience segments and data models to support our audience strategy and ensure relevant and timely communications.

Testing and optimisation

· Collaborate with teams to design and deliver testing and optimisation tactics to drive email and journey performance, embedding a culture of testing and learning to drive continuous improvement.

Copywriting and content

· Create highly engaging copy and content for email and CRM marketing activity and acting as internal consultant to teams developing email content, ensuring alignment to our brand and in line with email best practice and continual skilling up of content providers.

Person Specification

Core Knowledge

• Experience of delivering audience-focused and accessible email and CRM communications

• Understanding of CRM systems and marketing automation platforms.  Some knowledge of Salesforce and Marketing Cloud would be an advantage

Lead the launch of the UK's first Refugee Employment Marketplace and help transform how displaced people connect with jobs, employers and employment support.​ This is a remote, home-based role for candidates currently based in Wales. 

The Refugee Employment Network (REN) is the UK's national network dedicated exclusively to refugee employment. We bring together employers, charities, local authorities, government and refugee-led organisations to improve employment outcomes and create a more inclusive labour market.

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Digital Product Lead to lead the implementation, rollout and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace and wider digital systems across the Refugee Employment Network.

The Refugee Employment Marketplace is a digital platform connecting displaced people in the UK with jobs, employers and employment support.

Working closely with developers, partners and users, you will help ensure the Marketplace is successfully implemented, accessible, adopted and scaled across Wales and the wider REN network. We're looking for someone who enjoys turning ideas into practical solutions, building partnerships and using digital to create social impact.

Purpose of the Role and Key Responsibilities

1. Digital Product Development & Delivery

· Lead the implementation, customisation and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace to meet REN’s organisational goals and user needs.

· Work with external platform providers and developers to coordinate product delivery, customisation, timelines and ongoing improvements.

· Build and maintain project plans, documentation and delivery processes to support successful implementation and rollout.

· Coordinate platform testing, user feedback and troubleshooting to improve functionality, accessibility and user experience.

· Support the integration of REN’s wider digital systems, including website and CRM.

2. Co-design & Partnerships

· Convene and coordinate REN’s Digital Advisory Group to inform the design and continuous improvement of the Refugee Employment Marketplace.

· Facilitate focus groups, user testing and feedback sessions with refugees, employers, charities, local authorities and employment advisers to improve platform design, accessibility and user experience.

· Ensure experts by experience are meaningfully involved in shaping and testing the platform.

3. Platform Rollout, Training & User Support

· Lead the rollout and adoption of the Refugee Employment Marketplace across Wales and the wider REN network.

· Develop onboarding processes, training and guidance materials  to support effective use of the platform.

· Act as the first point of contact for user support, including account setup, login support, troubleshooting and user journey guidance.

4. CRM, Website & Digital Infrastructure Management

· Lead the scoping, procurement and implementation of a new CRM system

· Oversee the integration and continuous improvement of REN’s website and wider digital systems to ensure they are integrated and accessible. 

5. Data, Reporting & Digital Compliance

· Lead on data protection, GDPR compliance and digital security across REN’s digital platforms and systems.

· Maintain accurate, secure and effective data management practices, including user records, permissions and data quality.

6. Marketplace Growth, Sustainability & Impact

· Build relationships with employers, industry bodies and strategic partners to grow platform adoption, secure opportunities and strengthen the value proposition of the Marketplace.

· Support the matching of displaced talent to jobs, opportunities and employment support, including manual interventions where needed to improve outcomes and user experience.

· Track and report on employment outcomes, employer engagement and platform impact to inform growth, improvement and sustainability.

The post holder will help lead on the development of all aspects of Freedom from Torture’s wellbeing strategy. No one enjoys medical procedures, least of all children. From facing everyday vaccinations to the most serious of surgeries and chronic conditions, all children experience varying degrees of apprehension and fear. Feeling scared, powerless, or anxious in healthcare settings doesn’t just trigger a child’s emotions; it can create traumas that impact treatment success and that can have a life-long impact. Role Overview

Starlight has a long and successful track record of delivering high-profile, high-value special events, including the prestigious Blenheim Ball, Newbury Race Day, and until recently, the Highclere Clay Pigeon Shoot. These events are supported by influential committees and have played a critical role in raising income, stewarding donors and connecting supporters with our purpose.

With a gap in our Philanthropy team and maternity cover needed until around May next year, this 9-month fixed-term role exists to lead, develop and deliver Starlight’s flagship events at a senior level. Immediate responsibilities are for the Starlight Health Play Awards a key stewardship event in October; and the development of a Royal Palace Event to celebrate the 40th Anniversary of Starlight likely to be in November. There is also the opportunity to shape the Starlight Event Strategy, with the development of a new event building on the success of our Newbury Race Days and the development of our biennial activity with the Blenheim Ball Committee.

This is a senior, delivery-focused role designed for an experienced events professional who can hit the ground running. Working closely with the Starlight Team and Committees, you will bring leadership, strategic judgement and outstanding project management to ensure Starlight events continue to excel in reputation, income and supporter experience. 

The role

As Youth Advocacy Lead, you will develop and deliver GMYN’s new We Rise project, working alongside care-experienced and separated young people to transform housing and accommodation across Greater Manchester. 

This role is about more than delivering a project. It is an opportunity to help change not just young people's lives but how an organisation listens to them. We are looking for an advocate who believes young people already have the answers; they simply need adults and organisations willing to listen, share power and act. 

The role will combine direct work with young people, advocacy practice, organisational development and systems change. You will introduce and embed a self-advocacy approach across GMYN, supporting young people to understand their rights, build confidence and influence the decisions affecting their lives. 

Alongside this, you will support GMYN colleagues to develop the skills and confidence to make advocacy part of everyday practice; not something that only happens when things go wrong. Working across the organisation, you will help us move from supporting young people for them to achieving change with them. 

You will support young people to lead social action projects, distribute over grants through the We Rise Challenge Fund, influence regional housing reform, develop the creative projects and become the next generation of youth leaders across Greater Manchester.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead IRMO’s Advice programme. As our Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll manage a dedicated team and oversee a range of initiatives that provide high-quality information and advice services to respond to the changing needs of our community.

The Advice programme provides trusted information, resources, advice and casework in Spanish and Portuguese on key areas of need, including immigration, welfare entitlements, housing and homelessness prevention. IRMO is accredited by the Advice Quality Standard (AQS) and the Immigration Advice Authority (IAA) at Level 3. We are also members of Advice UK and receive second-tier support from Southwark Law Centre.

Alongside this, the programme works with local health boards to run initiatives designed to improve access to health services, such as HIV testing, sexual health and family planning advice and Chagas disease testing. You will also oversee IRMO’s Community Support service, which manages community enquiries daily at our Brixton centre and through our helpline, provides emergency crisis support and coordinates our Community Interpreting service, as well as connects service users with internal or external support.

These initiatives support people facing difficulties and help them build the skills and confidence to navigate complex systems. All of our work is shaped by the views of our beneficiaries, keeping our services relevant and responsive.

As Senior Advice Programme Manager, you’ll lead the strategic development of the Advice programme, ensuring our work is high-quality, impactful and responsive to the needs of our community. You’ll help grow the programme by strengthening existing partnerships and developing new ones.

To succeed in this role, you’ll bring solid experience as both a project and line manager, with a track record of overseeing multiple initiatives, delivering against KPIs and communicating impact clearly. You’ll be confident in managing people and priorities, with a leadership style that brings out the best in your team.

Role Overview

As part of the CfA funding, we have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Officer to join GSF. This is a part-time role, based remotely within the UK.

This role will be central to ensuring that all financial aspects of the Communities for Afghans programme are delivered to the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and transparency. You will oversee budget management, financial reporting, grant payment processes, and fraud prevention measures, ensuring that every pound is spent in line with government and contractual requirements.

You will work closely with other team members, Sponsor Groups, and funders to ensure financial processes are efficient, clear, and fully compliant. This is an opportunity to make a real impact by ensuring that funding reaches Afghan families quickly and appropriately, enabling them to settle into safe homes and begin building their new lives in the UK.

About the Role

As Finance Officer, you will:

· Manage programme budgets, spending, and grant tracking to ensure every aspect of funding is compliant with grant conditions.

· Act as the primary point of contact for Sponsor Groups and internal staff on finance-related queries.

· Maintain meticulous financial records for audit purposes and ensure timely and accurate reporting to funders.

· Implement strong controls and authorisation processes to ensure financial probity.

Payments & Authorisation

• Process payments to Sponsor Groups only after authorisation.

Monitoring & Fraud Prevention

• Work with the Sponsor Group Relationship Manager and Sponsor Groups to ensure grant funds are used correctly, providing guidance on compliant spending and supporting them to submit evidence packs using standard templates.

• Carry out periodic spot checks and reconciliations of Sponsor Group expenditure to confirm accuracy and transparency.

• Implement fraud controls, such as dual sign-off and audit trails, to safeguard programme funds.

• Provide independent assurance of correct grant usage within six months after the end of the financial year, helping to identify and address any issues proactively.

• Report any significant compliance concerns to the Operations Director and contribute to improving financial processes where needed.

Sponsor Group Support

• Ensure guidance and templates are clear, accessible, and consistent with funder requirements.

Working closely with the CEO, Impact, and Marketing teams, you will lead on frontline fundraising and manage a robust donor pool to ensure members feel deeply connected to RIVET’s mission, people, and impact. This is a hands-on role for someone who is excited to shape a global philanthropic community. RIVET currently has four offerings: Leadership Council (for families), Youth Impact Council (designed for individuals), Youth Impact Fund (for family foundations), and Social Innovator Accelerator (for firms).

This new, evolved role will focus on three work streams:

1. Drive philanthropic revenue: Lead frontline fundraising across the organization by identifying and developing a donor pipeline, moving prospects through the cultivation cycle, and closing gifts.

2. Steward & strengthen RIVET’s donor community through effective communication and programming: Build, manage, and deepen relationships with RIVET donors, ensuring members, including teen & young adult family members, feel highly engaged, valued, and connected to RIVET’s mission and people.

3. Activate donors as a force for organizational growth: Design and deliver meaningful engagement experiences to leverage donors’ networks, insights, and influence to support RIVET’s broader growth, including across new foundations, firms, and brand partnerships.

You will join a dedicated, low-ego team in launching a first-of-its-kind philanthropic movement led by youth. Supported by the CEO and admin team, this role works across the organization and volunteer leadership.

We have recently been awarded a transformative multi-year grant from The National Lottery Community Fund  as part of its Health Inequities: Structural Racism and Discrimination Partnership. We are one of ten national partners working alongside The National Lottery Community Fund and will take a leading role in shaping how the partnership operates, including building evidence, influencing policy and practice, supporting the design of new national funding programmes, and facilitating collective learning across the partnership.​

Alongside this, the centrepiece of our participation will be the delivery of three Anti-Racism Collaboratives (ARCs), each based in a specific locality and rooted in communities experiencing the sharpest health inequities. The initial locations are Greater Manchester, the London Borough of Lambeth and the London Borough of Barking & Dagenham.. ARCs will bring together voluntary, community and social enterprise organisations (VCSE), faith organisations, people with lived experience, primary and secondary care providers, local authorities, public health and social care partners. Each ARC will convene a Co-Production Panel (CPP) of people from minoritised ethnic communities to identify where structural racism produces inequitable health outcomes, and to co-produce evidence-led solutions that improve health and tackle the wider determinants of health.​

We are recruiting two Changemakers, one each for Greater Manchester and for Barking & Dagenham. As a Changemaker, you will establish and support an ARC within one of our pilot localities, bringing together stakeholders, providing strategic advice and knowledge of research methods and policy opportunities. You will support the design and implementation of health intervention programmes decided on by the ARC that have the power to influence policy, practice and systems.

Working as part of a national team of Changemakers, you will also contribute to the Foundation's evidence, influencing and systems change work, connecting learning from your locality to national policy, while bringing national developments back into local action. Together, the team will develop a replicable model for tackling racial health inequities.​

We are looking for an experienced systems change practitioner who is passionate about tackling structural racism and improving health equity. This highly collaborative leadership role requires someone equally comfortable working alongside people with lived experience, senior leaders across health and local government, and colleagues from the voluntary and community sector. Success will depend on your ability to build trusted partnerships, work strategically in complex environments, translate evidence into action, and create the conditions for lasting systems change.

• Demonstrable experience of leading complex, multi-agency change involving communities, VCSE organisations and statutory partners. ​

The Grantmaking Operations team sits within FGHR’s Operations department and is primarily focused on
ensuring that resources are reaching frontline activist organisations. The team seeks to hire a Grants
Specialist who will report to the Director of Grantmaking Operations and manage FGHR’s most complex
grantmaking programmes.
The successful candidate will join a high-performing, enthusiastic grants management team, a deeply

ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION:
Grantmaking
• Manage due diligence and enhanced grantmaking protocols for a complex and high-volume
portfolio of grants spanning low and high-risk operating environments.
 Inform the development and implementation of grantmaking plans, ensuring they are
robust and responsive to changing contexts and needs.
o Research compliance and financial regulation for various country contexts as needed and
flag potential areas of risk appropriately and in collaboration with GMO Leadership
o Identify and flag operational challenges that may have an impact on programmatic
grantmaking ambitions, potential donor commitments or grantmaking advisory bodies.
 Coordinate with Programme and Grantmaking Operations to ensure grants and grantee

 Code all grantmaking requests and budgeting information.
 Support enhancements to the grants management system, including the testing and
implementation of back-end developments, to improve user experience, workflow
efficiency, and data integrity.
 Collaborate with Grantmaking Operations colleagues to test new releases and system
updates, identify areas for improvement, and support the resolution of bugs and
technical issues.
 Contribute to the design and creation of the EOI and proposal forms in the grants
management system.
 Support the successful launch of newly implemented workflows and forms by testing
functionality, identifying issues, and assisting with troubleshooting and resolution.
 Support the design and implementation of grantee portals to improve grantee
interactions and reporting.

About you and the role

You are a pragmatic, highly analytical data professional who lives at the intersection of charity compliance and modern cloud systems. You are someone who understands that a rapidly growing £2m charity needs lean, workable frameworks, not corporate red tape that stalls delivery.

You bring a strong track record of working within the UK non-profit sector, meaning you already understand the nuances of donor data, PECR regulations, and charity-specific workflows. You don’t just write policy documents; you enjoy untangling data flows and translating complex regulatory requirements into practical, everyday processes.

In this interim role, you will act as the "Product Owner" and "Information Governor" for our systems upgrade. You won't need to do the technical database configuration—we already have a trusted, external Beacon CRM expert to handle the builds. Instead, you will bridge the gap between our teams and the technology. You will run discovery sessions with our Fundraising, Programmes, Finance and Operations teams to map their operational needs, translate these into a compliant data blueprint, and drive our Beacon expert to build them.

Crucially, you won’t need to draft our Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs)—these are already in place. Your job is to audit our systems and processes to ensure we are physically complying with them, designing the exact workflows, access permissions, and data retention schedules needed to keep us airtight. Finally, you will advise us on how to sustainably own our data protection internally going forward.

Key responsibilities:

1. Operationalising Our Data Sharing Agreements (DSAs)

• Translate Contracts into Code: Review our existing, drafted DSAs and map out the exact system processes, fields, and permissions required in Beacon CRM to physically comply with them.

• Consent & Retention Alignment: Ensure that our data capture, consent practices, and deletion cycles perfectly match the legal promises made in our DSAs.

• Audit System Compliance: Inspect our current data flow (website $\rightarrow$ Beacon CRM $\rightarrow$ integrated platforms) to ensure no data leaks or unauthorised sharing are occurring.

2. Business Analysis & Team Alignment

• Run Discovery Sessions: Work with our Fundraising, Services, and Finance teams to understand and map how they currently use data and where their bottlenecks are.

• Synthesise Requirements: Balance the operational needs of different teams (e.g., keeping sensitive service user data strictly partitioned while allowing the fundraising team to run compliant donor campaigns).

• Create Technical Specifications: Translate these mapped team needs into clear, structured functional requirements for our external Beacon CRM expert to build.

3. Data Governance & System Security

• Access & Permissions Architecture: Review and redesign the user access roles within Beacon CRM, establishing a robust "least privilege" framework so staff only access data essential to their role.

• Data Minimisation & Deletion: Define precise data retention schedules and work with the Beacon expert to automate the archiving or permanent deletion of expired records.

• Record of Processing Activities (RoPA): Document and map our internal data flow so we have a clear, compliant audit trail of how data moves through the charity.

4. Sustainable Ownership & Handover

• Future Governance Design: Assess our internal capacity and design a realistic, lightweight model for how we should own data protection internally going forward (including identifying internal roles vs. when to use external support).

• Process Testing & Team Training: Test the newly configured Beacon setups to ensure they work for staff, and deliver a practical, non-boring training session to the team on the new processes.

Essential Skills and Experience

• UK Charity Sector Expertise: Direct experience working within or consulting for UK registered charities, with a deep understanding of charity-specific data issues (such as donor consent, fundraising regulations under PECR, and handling sensitive beneficiary or safeguarding data).

• Operationalising Compliance: Proven experience translating legal data requirements (specifically implementing existing Data Sharing Agreements, DPAs, and GDPR frameworks) into practical, everyday staff workflows and system processes.

• Business Analysis & Stakeholder Mapping: Excellent track record of running discovery sessions with non-technical team heads to untangle, map, and simplify their operational data needs.

• Technical Translation & Developer Management: Experience acting as the "Product Owner" or lead interface between internal teams and external database developers—specifically translating operational needs into clear technical specifications for CRM builds.

• Practical GDPR & PECR Knowledge: A highly pragmatic approach to compliance, with experience building Records of Processing Activities (RoPA), setting up data retention schedules, and designing role-based access permissions.

Desirable Skills and Experience

• Passion for our mission. to improve children’s health through school food.

• Familiarity with Beacon CRM: Prior experience auditing, working with, or directing builds within Beacon CRM (or closely related modern cloud charity CRMs like Donorfy or Salesforce).

• Information Governance Qualification: A professional certification in data protection (such as CIPP/E, Practitioner Certificate in Data Protection, or equivalent), though hands-on charity sector experience is valued above theoretical qualifications.

Purpose of the Role

The Neighbourhood Health Coordinator will play a key role in connecting older residents with local health, wellbeing and community support.

Working across Time & Talents, local Integrated Neighbourhood Teams (INTs), social prescribing services and community partners, the postholder will coordinate a programme of neighbourhood outreach activity designed to improve health outcomes, reduce loneliness and support older people to age well.

The role will combine programme coordination, partnership development, community engagement and direct delivery.

The postholder will spend time embedded within local health partnerships, helping to strengthen collaboration between statutory and voluntary sector organisations and ensuring local residents can access the support they need.

Community Health Outreach
