Save the Children UK is looking for a customer-focused individual with proven IT service desk and technical support experience to join as our Service & Support Analyst.
Working closely with colleagues across the organisation to deliver high-quality, responsive digital, data and technology support, you'll play a crucial role in enabling teams to work efficiently and maximise impact for children.
This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), Monday to Friday, based at our office in Farringdon. Working hours are on a shift basis between 08:00 and 18:00. Typical shifts include 08:00–16:00, 09:00–17:00, or 10:00–18:00, with some variation within these times.

About the role
As Service & Support Analyst, you will be a key member of the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) function, providing first and second-line support to colleagues across Save the Children UK. You will ensure that technology services are reliable, accessible and easy to use, helping staff to do their jobs effectively.
You will troubleshoot incidents, fulfil service requests, work closely with suppliers and technical teams, and play an important role in improving service quality, user experience and operational efficiency.
In this role, you will:
- Provide 1st and 2nd line IT support to colleagues, managing incidents and service requests in line with agreed SLAs and ITIL processes.
- Support the installation, configuration and maintenance of desktops, laptops, mobile devices, peripherals and software.
- Work with third-line teams and external suppliers to resolve technical issues and reduce repeat incidents through effective problem management.
- Take ownership of support tasks, contributing to continuous improvement of processes, documentation and knowledge bases.
- Deliver clear, customer-focused communication and hands-on IT support, including supporting senior leaders to ensure a seamless IT experience.
- Maintain accurate IT asset and software licence records and support the setup and delivery of IT services for internal events and programmes.
About you
As well as bringing strong technical support expertise, you'll be passionate about promoting a culture of internal customer focus and customer service through your role.
To be successful, it is important that you have:
- Proven experience working in a 1st and/or 2nd line IT support role within an ITIL-based service environment.
- Strong technical knowledge of desktop and mobile hardware, operating systems, and modern workplace technologies, including Office 365 (user and resource administration, SharePoint site administration, Teams/Planner setup).
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting applications and user accounts, with experience in administering Active Directory.
- Experience in troubleshooting, repairing and upgrading hardware, including desktops, laptops and mobile devices.
- Network booting (PXE), SCCM and command line experience.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills, with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical users.
- Strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload, manage incidents effectively, and work collaboratively across teams.
- A proactive, improvement-focused mindset with a passion for technology and delivering a positive customer experience.

Out of hours working
From time to time, you may be asked to work outside normal business hours, such as in the evening or at the weekend, to support activities like system upgrades or maintenance. This is expected to be infrequent (usually no more than four times a year) and we'll always give you as much notice as possible.
In exceptional situations, such as a major emergency, humanitarian response, cyber attack, or total system failure, you may be asked to temporarily adjust your working hours to help manage the situation.

Job Description
Join Catch22 as our Interim Payroll Specialist and play a central role in delivering a best-in-class payroll service for our people. You’ll lead a proactive, customer-focused payroll function, ensuring colleagues are paid accurately and on time, and supporting smooth onboarding. The Payroll Team is responsible for ensuring that salaries are paid correctly, on time and in compliance with HMRC rules. Based in Brasted (with hybrid working), you’ll oversee all aspects of payroll delivery, manage the iTrent system, and work closely with People, Finance, and the wider organisation. You’ll provide clear payroll advice, mentor people coordinators, and help shape and automate processes for an excellent user experience.
We’re looking for someone with initiative, strong payroll expertise, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to improve efficiency and support our inclusive culture. As the Payroll Specialist you will be solely responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s payroll and pension schemes are run in the most efficient manner, ensuring accurate payments are made to staff on time, and ensuring that all tax law and other associated regulations are complied with. You will have the ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to work, be able and comfortable to work unsupervised and work across teams to solve problems and to be able to improve the efficiency of the existing processes. You will also need to manage various priorities and work within tight deadlines and provide an excellent customer focused service to every customer whether internal or external and ensure that issues are resolved on the first occasion wherever possible. You will develop close working relationships with colleagues in the People Services team as well as other key corporate and group functions to promote best practice to achieve accurate payroll processing.
Experience
We are looking for someone that has:
- A full membership (or equivalent) of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and a commitment to continuous learning
- Degree or relevant professional qualification
- Knowledge of MHR iTrent System
- Systems and digital solutions knowledge
- HMRC guidance and pension legislation knowledge
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, legislation and procedures.
- Proficiency in payroll software - iTrent / People First
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Payroll system set up and implementation experience
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- The ability to work effectively under pressure
Additional information
- Salary in the range of £49,000 to £53,000 per annum
- Hours: Full time, 37 hours a week, Monday-Friday - 9 am-5 pm.
- Contract: This role is for a 6 month fixed term.
- Location: Rectory Lodge, High Street, Brasted. We can offer hybrid working in this role, with a minimum of 2-3 days in the Brasted office. Equipment required to work from home will be supplied.

We are looking for an exceptional, value-driven candidate who can hit the ground running as our Legal Education Officer, working closely with the Director and the rest of our small and dynamic Right to Remain team.
The person must be someone who understands the Right to Remain ethos and is prepared to bring their whole self to our organisation. Needless to say, the role requires an impeccable grasp of the asylum and immigration system and its operation on the ground, including how it impacts our community of people seeking asylum, refugees, migrants, their families, friends and allies. It requires an ability to help and guide our community to navigate the complex and hostile asylum and immigration system.
You will be working closely with the Director and the rest of our small and dynamic Right to Remain staff team: another Legal Education Officer based in Leeds (generally) covering the North, the Organiser based in Manchester leading our mighty These Walls Must Fall, and the Engagement Officer based in London. In particular, the post holder will be closely coordinating their work with another Legal Education Officer in Leeds. The post holder is also expected to be already embedded in the local and regional asylum and migration field, familiar with its dynamics and able to tap into their existing relationships and connections with local groups and actors.

You will engage with our network of community groups to ensure that we are apprised of developments on the ground and we are communicating important changes to these support groups. You will also work with the Director and other colleagues to develop and deliver specific public legal education projects, when necessary. You must have outstanding communication skills and the ability to engage with a wide range of audiences, in a manner that reflects Right to Remain’s mission and values.
