Project Trust is an education charity with over fifty years’ experience in international volunteering for young people. We organise challenging, long-term placements for 17–25-year-olds with partnership organisations in Africa, Asia and the Americas.
We annually select up to 200 young people from across the UK for sustainable teaching and youth development projects around the world. Our Volunteers are provided with training and support before, during and after their international placements, and return home with broadened horizons and an impressive range of transferable skills, true Global Citizens.
We are looking for a talented and versatile Volunteer & Schools Engagement Coordinator to recruit and support Volunteers for our immersive and focused international placements. This is an exciting role for a motivated self-starter with excellent communication skills to work with inspirational young people from across the UK, enabling them to achieve their dream of an international volunteering placement.
The successful candidate will be a highly organised individual with the ability to build and maintain relationships with schools and with young people. We are looking for an inspiring public speaker who is able to engage with and motivate young people to support the recruitment, retention and fundraising efforts of our future Volunteers.
The role is home-based and will involve travel throughout England, including overnight stays, plus some travel to meetings elsewhere in the UK. There will be the occasional requirement to work evenings and weekends.
Main areas of responsibility include:
- Recruit Volunteer candidates through delivery of inspiring presentations within schools, youth organisations and careers fairs
- Develop relationships with partner organisations within the education and youth sectors
- Support and co-ordinate Returned Volunteers in the delivery of school talks
- Be a point of contact and support for young people at application, selection and throughout fundraising activities
Responsibilities & duties
- Recruit Volunteer candidates through the delivery of inspiring presentations in schools and youth organisations, in-person and online
- Engage and support fundraising Volunteers, offering practical advice, guidance and monitoring of fundraising progress
- Represent Project Trust at career and recruitment fairs
- Develop and maintain relationships with partnership organisations within the education and youth sectors
- Support and co-ordinate Returned Volunteers in the delivery of school talks
- Be a point of contact and support for young people throughout the application, selection and fundraising process
- Maintain accurate and up to date records on our CRM database
- Participate in the selection, training and debriefing of Volunteers
Qualifications & skills
Essential

- Excellent planning and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise workload and manage time effectively
- Proven ability to deliver presentations to a range of stakeholders, including young people, with an ability to motivate and inspire others
- Experience of working effectively with and developing young people in a variety of settings, eg schools, youth and community groups
- Ability to work autonomously on own initiative and as part of a remote, multi-disciplinary team
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal, and ability to communicate with a range of audiences
- Excellent customer service skills, with a commitment to providing an outstanding service to Volunteers and third parties
- Excellent administrative skills, able to keep accurate and up to date records and produce reports
- Good judgement and decision-making skills with the ability to work under pressure
- Working knowledge of Microsoft packages and a variety of social media platforms
- Ability to travel within a designated region of the UK and to other parts of the UK as required
- Ability to work remotely from an appropriate home base
- Willingness to undertake work outside standard office hours
- A full clean driving licence and use of a vehicle

About you
Do you want to use your skills to make it possible for people with myeloma to live longer and better lives? Are you an experienced event organiser looking for a new challenge? We are looking for someone with event and project management experience who has excellent communication and relationship building skills to join the team responsible for delivering our programme of events.
You’ll have good negotiation and presentation skills, a focus on detail and the ability to manage a variety of tasks often to tight deadlines. You will need a thorough understanding of the principles of event management and how to identify and meet the needs of service users through event delivery as well as knowledge of systems for event evaluation and service improvement.
Previous experience of organising digital events and training or facilitating groups would be an advantage but not essential.
About the role
The Information Events Coordinator will deliver the patient and family myeloma and AL amyloidosis information events programme consisting of face-to-face and online events hosted by the team and held throughout the UK, developing the strategy for the programme and implementing event activity with the aim to increase participation and attendance.
The role holder will organise the planning, coordination and delivery of the information events programme including administration, promotion and marketing, dealing with event logistics and delivery on the day. You will monitor the associated income and expenditure for the information events programme ensuring that the programme is delivered to budget.
You will also be responsible for organising the planning and delivery of the digital events programme, dealing with promotion and marketing and taking ownership of technical aspects of running online events as well as developing marketing material and a publicity and communications strategy for the information events programme.

Marauders Men's Health is a dynamic, South Wales-based charity dedicated to improving the health, wellbeing, and mental fitness of men through connection and support. We are the community where men can walk, talk, and grow together, underpinned by the Five Ways to Wellbeing model (Connect, Be Active, Give, Take Notice, Learn).
We have established strong foundations, including secured funding from the Big Lottery Community Fund over three years, a full Board of Trustees, and a growing programme of 8 events each week, including Walk & Talks and Sports Hubs. We are seeking an inspiring leader to drive our ambitious strategy to engage 7,000 men and provide 330 Personal Wellbeing Plans over the next three years.

Opportunity
Reporting directly to the Board of Trustees, this crucial role is responsible for the overall leadership, management, and operational delivery of the charity. You will take the lead in executing our strategic vision and ensuring our operations are robust, particularly in the development of our key programmes and IT platform.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Key Responsibilities
1. Strategic & Operational Leadership
· Lead the day-to-day running and strategic direction of the charity in line with the Board’s vision.
· Develop, manage, and oversee the charity's resources and workstreams.
· Ensure governance, compliance, and policies/procedures remain in good shape.
· Support the Board with fundraising strategy and financial accountability, including financial forecasting and reporting to funders.
2. Programme Management & Delivery
· Directly manage the Programme & Projects Manager and the Regional Event Leaders, and assist in the recruitment process for the newly established Volunteering Co-ordinator and the Wellbeing Coach/Coordinator roles.
· Drive the delivery and expansion of our core programmes, including the Physical Activities (Walk & Talks, Sports Hubs), Volunteer Engagement, Community Partnerships and the Personal Wellbeing Plans (PWP)18.
· Develop and implement the Marauders Pathway Programme to establish a culture of good citizenship and peer support.
3. People & Volunteer Management
· Provide leadership, support, and development for staff, managing issues such as payroll, sickness, and holidays.
· Oversee the Volunteer Co-ordinator to develop a comprehensive volunteer management process, including recruitment, training, and 'Reward & Recognition’.
· Help inspire 100 men to give back to the community through volunteering.
4. Partnerships & IT Development
· Maintain and forge new community partnerships (e.g. with voluntary organisations, NGO’s, other charities and social enterprises) to enhance volunteering, education, and wellbeing services.
· Spearhead the development of our IT Platform, focusing on a robust website and a Beneficiary Management System (CRM) for efficient reporting, data capture, and engagement.
· Oversee digital marketing and communications, including newsletters and social media content.
