Dementia UK is looking for a Media and PR Assistant to join our Media and PR Team. This newly created role is an exciting opportunity to develop a career in PR, supporting the charity’s press office while helping to raise awareness of our services, clinical expertise and impact through the media.
No two days are the same in this fast-paced, reactive role. You'll support the day-to-day running of the press office, while taking ownership of key administrative processes and helping to coordinate storyteller, influencer and ambassador activity. You will support reactive and proactive media activity, monitor the news and media landscape, coordinate interviews, draft and proofread media materials, and produce media coverage reports. About the role
Nightstop and Supported Lodgings services provide safe accommodation for young people facing homelessness. As Nightstop Network Officer, you will help ensure these services operate effectively, meet quality standards and continue to grow.
Working with internal teams and partner organisations across the UK, you will provide expert guidance, oversee accreditation and compliance, deliver training and use data to improve services and outcomes.

About the role
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for coordinating the recruitment, onboarding, engagement and retention of volunteers across Woman's Trust.
Working closely with managers across the organisation, the postholder will oversee the end-to-end volunteer journey, ensuring volunteers receive a positive, inclusive and well-supported experience from application through to departure.

One25 services meet women at their point of need, with love and practical support. We do this through our night outreach service which is a lifeline for nearly 200 women on Bristol’s streets. Our Health Hub provides vital support for women to access health services and healthcare professionals. Our caseworkers offer intensive one-to-one care in any area of need: from support in court to finding somewhere safe to live.
We are recruiting a Drug & Alcohol Caseworker to our specialist casework team. You will be supporting women who street sex work in their recovery journey to address challenges that they face as a result of substance use and to access appropriate treatment options including scripting, detox and rehab. This role is part of the wider Horizons Bristol commissioned drug and alcohol service and will involve working closely with relevant partner agencies, as well as your fellow One25 caseworkers, to achieve positive outcomes for women.

Right now, we are looking for a Recovery Worker to play a pivotal role in our Mental Health Crisis Alternative Service in Hillingdon.
Sounds great, what will I be doing?
The main purpose of the role is to provide excellent quality support and interventions to clients with mental health needs who require early intervention and prevention support. You will support clients throughout their time in service and empower them with the skills to cope independently. You will carry out support and interventions in line with organisational values and the ethos of recovery and co-production, as well as in line with policies and procedures.

Here's what the team will be looking for:
The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience working with individuals affected by mental health and dual-diagnosis issues, with strong knowledge of a wide range of mental health conditions, effective communication approaches, and the ability to provide support with dignity and respect. They will understand relevant Mental Health legislation, the principles of recovery, and a variety of recovery approaches. The role requires the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, support the induction of new staff and volunteers, and work collaboratively with statutory services. The candidate will bring experience in planning and delivering added-value initiatives, alongside excellent communication, partnership-building, risk-assessment, and case-management skills. Strong organisational, IT, literacy, and numeracy abilities are essential, as is knowledge of local recovery tools, wellbeing services, and safeguarding practices.
When will I be working?
Between the hours of 2pm - 10pm. 39 hours per week, including weekends and bank holidays.

Volunteer Coordinator
We are seeking an organised and engaging Volunteer Coordinator to recruit, train and support volunteer hosts helping young people facing homelessness.

Position: Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator
Salary: £27,943 to £31,443 per annum
Location: National, supporting services across London, Greater Manchester and the North East
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
Contract: Six-month fixed-term contract

About the role
Nightstop provides safe, emergency accommodation for young people facing homelessness through a network of trained volunteer hosts.
As Nightstop Volunteer Coordinator, you will help grow and strengthen this vital network. You will attract new volunteers, guide them through safer recruitment and onboarding, and ensure existing hosts feel supported, informed and valued.
Key responsibilities include:
· Promoting volunteer opportunities through community networks, local organisations, events and online platforms
· Recruiting and onboarding volunteer hosts, including interviews, references, DBS checks and home assessments
· Assessing applicants’ suitability and contributing to recruitment decisions
· Delivering training, supervision and ongoing support
· Building strong relationships with volunteers to support engagement and retention
· Developing partnerships with voluntary and statutory organisations
· Representing Nightstop at meetings and community events
· Maintaining accurate volunteer and guest records
· Supporting monitoring, reporting, data collection and financial administration
· Sharing learning and helping to develop best practice across the Nightstop network
You will participate in an on-call rota and occasionally work outside normal office hours, including evenings and weekends.
About you
You will have experience of recruiting and supporting volunteers, along with an understanding of safer recruitment and safeguarding.
You will also bring:
· An understanding of homelessness and the challenges people experiencing it may face
· Excellent communication, presentation and relationship-building skills
· Confidence engaging communities, stakeholders and prospective volunteers
· Strong organisational and administrative abilities
· The ability to manage competing priorities and changing demands
· Experience working collaboratively with internal and external partners
· Confidence using databases, Google Workspace and Microsoft Office
· The ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries
