This is a critical role that will provide flexible, high-quality administrative, delivery and strategic support to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Strategic Leadership Team (SLT) including effective and efficient management of the CEO’s diary, inbox, meetings, key events and correspondence, supporting and enabling the CEO and SLT to lead the organisation and to deliver the strategy.

Your experience is important, but more important are your excellent co-ordination, collaboration and delivery skills which will be essential to allow you to provide flexible high-quality support. You will be able to work both independently and in close partnership with the CEO, and you will show initiative in anticipating and resolving problems as needed. You will possess excellent communication skills, and your strong interpersonal skills will enable you to develop effective relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and colleagues at all levels, both internally and externally.

Finance Manager (Part-Time)

Hours: 16 hours per week (hybrid working, with at least 50% of time in the Guildford office)

Oakleaf Enterprise is looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join our team. This is a key role within the organisation, working closely with the Chief Executive, Trustees and wider Senior Management Team. You’ll oversee all financial activity, ensure compliance with Charity SORP and relevant regulations, and support the organisation to operate efficiently and responsibly.

About the role

You will lead on all financial reporting, planning and compliance, and ensure financial information is accurate, timely and useful for decision-making. You will also manage one member of staff (Finance Administrator) and work with colleagues across the organisation to support budgeting, forecasting, project costing and grant applications.

Key responsibilities

Board & Leadership

• Advise the CEO and Board on all financial matters, ensuring all legal and financial requirements are met.
• Attend Board and relevant sub-committee meetings.
• Provide financial input for the Strategic Business Plan and other analysis as required.

Reporting

• Prepare and present monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, restricted/unrestricted funds and balance sheet reporting.
• Lead the year-end process with external accountants, including audit/independent exam planning, reconciliations, site visits and production of Financial Statements.
• Work with the CEO and department leads to prepare the annual budget and provide variance analysis for Board approval.
• Produce a six‑month reforecast.
• Monitor restricted funds and update the Fundraising and Client Services teams.
• Track reserves and ensure adherence to the reserves policy.

Tax

• Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, ensuring correct application of partial exemption rules.
• Review gift aid and GASDS claims to ensure compliance and maximise income.

Payroll

• Ensure compliance with pensions, NMW and tax regulations.
• Oversee P11Ds and payrolling of benefits (where applicable).
• Support and oversee the Finance Administrator with SAGE payroll and keep up to date with relevant tax/employment law changes.
• Review payroll before submission.

Other responsibilities

• Manage high‑level cashflow and work with the Finance Administrator on daily cash monitoring.
• Line-manage the Finance Administrator.
• Support departments with project budgets, cashflows and grant applications.
• Develop and update financial systems and controls as the organisation evolves.
• Manage supplier relationships to ensure cost‑effective purchasing (including IT, utilities and contracts).
• Contribute to the wider SMT.
• Maintain the chart of accounts in SAGE and ensure monthly reconciliations and journals are completed.
• Keep up with CPD requirements.
• Carry out other duties as required.

Essential criteria

• Experience working in a charity, with strong knowledge of Charity SORP (old and new).
• Experience using SAGE 50.
• Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, CIPFA).

 About the role:

This is a pivotal role in our Campaigns and Communications Team, reporting to the Head of Campaigns and Communications. You will be managing the drafting of evidenced-based policy positions (for example analysing research, data and lived experience insight) and work with the Head of Campaigns and Communications to ensure these are translated into effective campaigning activity that drives real change.

We’re looking for a Direct Marketing Executive to join the Individual Giving team at Prostate Cancer UK. We’re an ambitious charity with a bold mission and a fantastic culture. This role focuses on acquiring new cash and regular givers across a range of channels including digital, telephone and direct mail, helping fund research that will save and improve lives. 

In this role you’ll help drive forward our ambitious five-year fundraising strategy as we continue to grow income year on year to have the biggest impact for men. You will lead on our value exchange programme, working closely with the digital team and our telephone partner to continually optimise results. This is a great opportunity to gain experience across a multi-channel campaign. You will also work on wider telephone conversion campaigns and direct mail as well as other test channels with the aim of recruiting new regular and cash supporters as well as re-engaging those who have lapsed. You’ll also help develop and test welcome journeys to engage supporters with our work and make them feel valued. You’ll look for ways to test and innovate to drive the best results. You’ll collaborate with colleagues from across the organisation to drive the best creative, messaging, targeting and data insights. 

What we want from you 

Experience or knowledge of managing direct marketing campaigns across a range of channels, ideally digital, telephone or direct mail, and preferably gained from a fundraising environment.

You’ll possess first class communication and project management skills; a strong team ethic and you will be at ease working with key internal and external stakeholders at all levels. You’ll be a self-starter, with a curious nature and a keen eye for detail.Knowledge of data protection and sector compliance would also be beneficial.

Purpose of the role

Reporting to the Fundraising Manager, the Community & Events Executive is an integral part of the Fundraising team, providing outstanding administrative and general fundraising support with a focus on income generation, supporter stewardship and data accuracy. Job Purpose

The Head of Community Support and Operations is a pivotal new role being introduced to the executive team at Barnsley CVS.  This person will be a key role in the growth and development of the executive team.  You will play an exciting part in the delivery and development of the recently developed 4-year strategy and theory of change. Your role will drive intention and focus on developing our support to the sector in a meaningful way to high standards, whilst ensuring our own internal operations reflect best practice.  You will need a strong knowledge of charity set up, management and governance along with a passion for what the VCSE sector does.  You will be confident in people management and development; have the ability to work inclusively with a wide range of people and backgrounds and the skill to see gaps and opportunities for service development.

You will work closely with the Head of Strategic Partnerships to identify gaps and opportunities to develop our offer of support to the sector whether through direct services, training, brokerage agreements or membership offers.  As you identify these opportunities, you will work collaboratively with the Head of Business Development to explore commercial income options that are also in line with our mission and vision.

Using your excellent people skills, you will act as the first point of contact for HR matters within the charity, overseeing the general management of our online HR system, policies and procedures.  You will work in collaboration with the CEO in any areas that need significant development or management.

You will keep up to date with new initiatives and ideas in the wider infrastructure sector, relevant legislation and modern thinking in relation to charity management best practice.

What the job involves 

We’re on the lookout for a Legacy and In Memory Executive to join our Individual Giving Team here at Prostate Cancer UK. This role focuses on legacy and in-memory giving - including gifts in Wills which are some of the most meaningful contributions we receive, helping us fund research that will save and improve lives.

In this role you’ll be part of an exciting time at the charity, joining us as we roll out our new Fundraising Strategy and start developing new products. You’ll be delivering thoughtful, well-timed and engaging communications to a variety of audiences, helping us reach new supporters and deepen relationships with those already connected to us. Your work will play a vital part in raising awareness, encouraging supporters to consider leaving a gift in their Will, and providing meaningful ways to remember loved ones. 

Working closely with our Legacy and In Memory Manager, you’ll help manage relationships with external agencies and collaborate with both internal teams and external partners to make sure our plans are delivered smoothly and successfully. It’s a role where your creativity, empathy and organisation will all come into play. 

You’ll also be responsible for the operational duties of the Prostate Cancer Memorial Sculpture – a poignant tribute to the dads, grandads, brothers and friends we’ve lost to prostate cancer, and a place for families and communities to reflect, remember and raise awareness.

You’ll be comfortable working collaboratively with teams across the organisation, as well as with external partners and agencies, always bringing a positive, solution-focused approach.  You’ll know how to tailor messages for different audiences and balance multiple priorities while meeting deadlines.

About The Branch Trust

The Branch Trust is a charity established in 2020, growing out of the outreach work of St Mary’s Church, Chipping Norton. We serve communities across Chipping Norton and surrounding villages, with a particular focus on the most deprived areas of West Oxfordshire, where barriers to accessing support can prevent individuals and families from thriving.

At the heart of our work is a deep commitment to listening carefully to the real challenges faced at grassroots level and responding in a dynamic, innovative way. Our approach brings together voluntary organisations, statutory services, and local community networks to create joined-up, practical support that treats people as whole individuals. Role Overview

The Outreach Manager will work closely with the CEO to lead and coordinate the charity’s frontline outreach work, particularly focusing on mental health support and domestic abuse response.

A key aspect of the role will also involve working closely with the Nurture Lead, who oversees the Nurture Team, to ensure strong collaboration, shared learning, and joined-up support for individuals and families engaging with The Branch Trust.

A large part of this role will be concentrating on building the collaborative work of The Branch, both building relationships with other services and networks and advocating for the work of The Branch.This role ensures consistency, quality, and impact across outreach activities while developing the organisation’s capacity to grow.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership and Organisational Development

•Build a trusted and effective working relationship with the CEO to collaboratively work on the outward focus of the charity and interaction with other voluntary and statutory organisations

•Work closely with the Nurture Lead to align outreach and nurture services.

•Translate strategy into practical plans and help the charity grow sustainably.

•Foster a positive, healthy, and safe organisational culture that safeguards both staff and clients.

Outreach Delivery and Coordination

•Lead and coordinate frontline outreach work, particularly mental health and domestic abuse support.

•Oversee Connect Cafe Help Desk Volunteers and shape services in partnership with support agencies.

•Ensure consistent standards, quality, and effectiveness across outreach activities.

•Develop and implement outreach strategies to support individuals and families experiencing hardship.

•Monitor and evaluate outreach initiatives to ensure they meet the charity’s goals.

Partnerships and Advocacy

•Build strong relationships with statutory and voluntary sector partners.

•Act as an advocate for the charity at events and in networks.

•Strengthen referral pathways with local authorities, schools, health professionals, and community organisations.

Team Management and Support

•Provide supervision, support, and training to outreach staff, volunteers, and interns.

•Motivate and support the team to deliver high-quality services.

•Ensure accountability, wellbeing, and ongoing development within the outreach team.

•Train as a Designated Safeguarding Lead

•Attend weekly staff meetings and contribute to team life, including leading a time of worship once per quarter.

Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity are hiring for a permanent Legacy Executive, a critical role within our Legacy Management team.  The successful candidate will be responsible for some of our core administrative duties and a blend of legacy casework beyond just pecuniary gifts, working with the team to manage risk and maximise the value of our legacies.

The team are supportive, collaborate and work closely together to manage and honour gifts left in Wills. It's a detail focused environment, but one where you can share knowledge, offer guidance and celebrate success together. 
 

Salary
The salary for this position is £35,023 per annum and we operate a hybrid working policy of a minimum of 2 days per week in the office.

The purpose of the post is to take responsibility for the HR oversight, day to day HR matters and the overall HR management of the charity.

The role will require initially regular meets on the sites with the CEO & Senior Management Team to build relationships, understand current processes and to establish and implement a best-in-class HR service to managers and employees across the organisation, allowing the CEO & Senior Managers to focus on the essential strategic management of the charity. 

We envisage the first 6 months being a comprehensive review & reset of the charities HR policies, procedures and protocols. 

This will be a part-time role for 21 hours per week across 3-4 days. This role will be busy, interesting and provide an opportunity for you to make your mark within the charity. You will have line management responsibilities for a part time HR administrator who you will be working closely with. 

To succeed in this role, you must demonstrate that you have the necessary skills, knowledge and practical experience to perform effectively. You should also hold a CIPD Diploma-level qualification and have a thorough, up-to-date understanding of current UK employment legislation. 

Your strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail should enable you to manage documentation and records effectively, ensuring processes run smoothly and efficiently. 

We are looking for a self-starter and someone with a demonstrable positive approach that has the ability to always remain calm and consistent with personnel at all levels, but capable of dealing with difficult situations. 

It is essential you have excellent English speaking and writing skills. You must have demonstrable skills for writing policy, procedures, letters, reports etc., and you must also be able to work in Office365 with confidence.
