ABOUT THE ROLE

The Fundraising Officer/s will be responsible for planning, co-ordinating, and executing all fundraising activities and initiatives. The role requires the development and implementation of strategies to maximise donations and enhance donor relationships, in alignment with Islamic Help’s fundraising strategy.

This position involves engagement with individual donors, businesses, and community partners to secure financial support for Islamic Help’s life-saving projects. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Plan, coordinate and deliver income-generating fundraising campaigns, appeals and community events in line with Islamic Help's fundraising strategy and organisational objectives.
• Generate income in line with agreed monthly and annual fundraising targets, taking ownership of individual fundraising performance and proactively identifying opportunities to maximise income.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with donors, fundraisers, businesses, mosques, community organisations and other stakeholders to secure financial support and develop long-term partnerships.
• Identify, develop and pursue new fundraising and partnership opportunities at local and regional levels.
• Recruit, support, brief, co-ordinate and motivate volunteers to assist with fundraising activities, community events and campaigns, ensuring they are appropriately supported and equipped to represent Islamic Help.
• Recruit, support and steward individual fundraisers, providing guidance, resources and ongoing engagement to help them maximise their fundraising potential.
• Manage and accurately record online and offline donations, pledges and fundraising activity, ensuring donor records are maintained appropriately and communications are timely, accurate and professional.
• Maintain accurate fundraising and donor records, ensuring relevant information is captured on Islamic Help's CRM and other internal systems.
• Monitor fundraising performance and provide regular updates and reports to the Head of Fundraising on income, activities, opportunities, challenges and outcomes.
• Represent Islamic Help professionally at fundraising events, community activities, meetings and other external engagements, acting as an ambassador for the organisation and its work.
• Support donor stewardship and engagement, ensuring supporters receive an appropriate and positive experience throughout their relationship with Islamic Help.
• Ensure fundraising activities are delivered in accordance with Islamic Help policies, safeguarding requirements and relevant fundraising regulations and legal standards.
• Attend and support fundraising events, collections and community activities, including occasional evenings and weekends where required.

2. SPECIFIC ROLE RESPONSIBILITY

A. STRATEGIC FUNDRAISING LEADERSHIP

• Lead the implementation and delivery of the fundraising strategy and income action plan.
• Develop and manage a rolling 12–24 month fundraising pipeline.
• Set and monitor annual and quarterly income targets.
• Establish systems, processes and KPI dashboards to track performance.
• Identify new income opportunities aligned to Trust priorities.

B. INCOME GENERATION

Corporate Partnerships & Sponsorship

• Design and deliver tiered corporate partnership packages.
• Identify and secure new business partnerships across Nottinghamshire and the region.
• Develop programme, event and apprenticeship sponsorship opportunities
• Steward and grow existing partners (e.g. Tweezerman, Vertu, Russell Scanlan)
• Work closely with the club’s Commercial team to identify potential corporate/commercial partnerships.

Grants & Trusts

• Develop and manage a structured grant pipeline calendar.
• Write high-quality funding applications to Local Authorities, Charitable Trusts & Foundations, Government and statutory funders.
• Prioritise multi-year and unrestricted funding bids.
• Maintain and grow relationships with existing funders.

Donations & Individual Giving

• Develop a regular giving programme (yearly, multi years, monthly donors)
• Launch and manage digital fundraising campaigns (e.g. JustGiving)
• Grow and segment the supporter/membership database.
• Introduce targeted community appeals linked to community programmes.
• Establish a Patron’s programmes targeting high net worth members.

Fundraising Events

• Lead delivery of flagship events such as Charity Zipwire, Golf Day and Charity Auction.
• Develop and deliver new fundraising events.
• Maximise income through sponsorship and participation growth.

C. PROGRAMME & IMPACT ALIGNMENT

• Work with Managers to ensure all funding aligns to:
  • Volunteer growth (diverse and female volunteers)
  • Expansion of programmes into North Nottinghamshire

D. FINANCIAL SUSTAINABILITY & PLANNING

• Increase proportion of unrestricted income and multi-year funding agreements.
• Support annual budget planning and income forecasting.
• Monitor income vs expenditure alongside Managers and Trust Board.
• Contribute to achieving £300,000 reserves target.

E. STAKEHOLDER & RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT

• Build strong relationships with Funders and partners, corporate sponsors, Donors and supporters.
• Develop structured stewardship plans.
• Support the production of an impact report, case studies and funder updates.
• Support Trustees in fundraising activity and engagement.

F. PERFORMANCE & REPORTING

• Track and report on KPIs, including income secured vs targets, Application success rates, donor and partner growth.
• Provide quarterly reports to the Trust Board.
• Contribute to the annual review in February.
• Continuously refine approaches based on performance data.

G. SYSTEMS & INFRASTRUCTURE

• Lead the development and implementation of a CRM/fundraising database, Income tracking systems, fundraising processes and policies.
• Maintain a risk register of funding opportunities and contracts.

This fixed term role will provide cover with the current position-holder is on secondment with another team. Within the Individual Giving team, the Fundraising Manager will have responsibility for the planning and delivery of activities that recruit new supporters and generate income. You will manage our supporter recruitment programme, ensuring we meet our targets, and promoting investment strategies to cost-effectively and sustainably grow our supporter base. You will focus on the delivery of existing offline communication channels, as well as the development of new products, channels and audiences with a future-focused outlook on fundraising and recruitment. Over the next 12 months the new initiatives we plan to launch include a value exchange lead generation programme, improvements to our welcome journeys including the introduction of telemarketing, and potentially a lottery scheme. Working closely with the other Fundraising Managers (especially the Digital Fundraising Manager), you will also ensure that new recruits go on to become loyal supporters, taking the lead on some projects and contributing to others, and will help to feed the pipeline of legacy pledges. You will help to improve the experience for our supporters and maximise their potential for giving. You will also work closely with the Digital Team to ensure thoughtful integration of acquisition activities to optimise spending and ensure a seamless experience for new supporters across channels.

About you

An Events Fundraising Administrator is required ASAP for 4 weeks, working 20 hours a week, which can be split across a few days, or all week.

You will play a key role in supporting the Challenge Events programme by coordinating the day-to-day activities of the team, including being first point of contact for challenge event supporters and providing administrative support to the whole team. The Otakar Kraus Music Trust is looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Community & Local Business Fundraiser to help us grow support for our work across Richmond and surrounding areas. OKMT uses music therapy and inclusive music projects to improve the lives of over 500 children and adults each year, including people with disabilities, neurological conditions and dementia.

This is an exciting opportunity to shape a new role within a small, friendly charity. You will build relationships with local businesses, schools, clubs and community organisations; develop sponsorship and Charity of the Year opportunities; support fundraising events and individual fundraisers; and help inspire more people across our community to support OKMT. Key Responsibilities

Community Fundraising

We are seeking an experienced fundraising professional, with the drive and determination to manage all aspects of our fundraising function.

AAFDA is currently funded by statutory bodies, trusts and foundations, corporates, events and individuals. Under your management, you will identify, cultivate and grow these existing and new fundraising streams.As AAFDA’s Fundraising and Grants Manager, you will be responsible for oversight and growth of voluntary and statutory funding income, including from individuals (regular and one-off gifts, major donors and legacy giving), community groups, trusts and foundations, corporates, the statutory sector (including Police and Crime Commissioners) and other benefactors.
