The Charity team is responsible for raising millions of pounds each year to ensure Christie patients receive the very best care and treatment. This includes everything from access to world first clinical trials and receiving radiotherapy in state-of-the-art treatment centres, to young adults being cared for in a bespoke age-appropriate centre and being able to offer patients anxiety reducing complementary therapy, or even creative sessions in our art room.

About the role
As our Senior Grants Partnerships Manager, you'll own a portfolio of up to ten large trusts, foundations and institutional funders at six and seven figure level, deepening existing relationships while opening up new ones across North America, the Gulf States, East Asia, Northern Europe and the UK.
Working closely alongside our Programmes and Advocacy colleagues, and sitting within the Programmes team so you're close to the work itself, you'll research and win new donors, shape compelling proposals and steward the relationships that follow. About the team
The Philanthropy Team raises income for Impetus and for Impetus partner charities. The team consists of 15 staff. Impetus has an annual income of c.£11 million which we are looking to grow significantly within the next few years. The team is led by two Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships.
The Philanthropy Team works with major donors, corporates and grant making trusts, as well as collaboratively with colleagues across the organisation to ensure we make a compelling case to generate new financial commitments and wider support for our work. The team also deliver a high-quality engagement programme of volunteering and pro bono for Impetus’s corporate supporters.

About this role
The Development Director (Philanthropy) provides strategic leadership across Impetus’ philanthropy and stewardship portfolio, with responsibility for relationship management, renewal, growth and selected new business activity. The postholder will work with high-value funders, including corporate partners, trusts and foundations, and high-net-worth individuals.
In 25/26, the Philanthropy and Partnerships team generated £11m in philanthropic income, alongside £2.8m in pro bono contributions. The Development Director will play a key role in delivering Impetus’ growth ambitions, supporting the increase in philanthropic income to £14m by 2029.
Working closely with the Directors of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the role will translate the fundraising strategy into clear stewardship, renewal, relationship-growth and selected new business plans, ensuring strong donor retention, high-quality engagement and sustainable growth in high-value income.
Working closely with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, the postholder will oversee the donor lifecycle across the philanthropy portfolio, with particular focus on strategic stewardship, renewal, relationship growth and the effective transition of selected prospects into long-term donor relationships. They will personally lead and support significant six and seven-figure donor relationships and selected funding opportunities, while working with colleagues to ensure the philanthropy pipeline, stewardship plans and account management disciplines are strong.

We are looking for a Global Senior Mid-Level Giving Manager, to lead the strategy, growth and development of a global mid-level giving programme responsible for growing income and strengthening donor engagement and retention.
Location:
This is a hybrid working - 2 days per week in the Surrey office.
The role:
Lead the global mid value programme - driving strategic development, and grow the and expansion into priority markets.
Deliver exceptional donor stewardship- building strong, meaningful relationships with members and supporting long-term engagement and increased giving.
Develop donor acquisition and pipeline growth- identifying new prospects, growing the donor pipeline and working closely with colleagues across Global Philanthropy, Individual Giving, Digital and CRM.
Use insight to inform decisions- Monitoring performance, reporting accurately through Salesforce and optimising donor journeys to support income growth.
About you
You'll need to bring proven experience in mid-level, major donor or high-value fundraising, with the ability to lead or scale a fundraising programme and deliver clear income growth.
You'll be a confident relationship-builder, who is able to create compelling donor communications, develop strong stewardship plans, and work collaboratively across an international fundraising team.
Strong written and oral communication skills, with the ability to create compelling narratives for diverse donor groups
A proactive, positive and adaptable approach, with excellent organisation and prioritisation skills.

This is an exciting opportunity to build and scale the Individual Giving programme from an early stage, shaping propositions, channels and supporter journeys to drive sustainable growth.
As Individual Giving Manager, you will lead the development and delivery of the Individual Giving acquisition and supporter development programme. You will own acquisition targets and budgets, develop and optimise multi-channel campaigns, and build long-term supporter value through regular giving, retention, mid-value and legacy giving. You will use audience insight, segmentation and performance data to identify and engage priority audiences, develop compelling fundraising propositions and deliver targeted, personalised campaigns. You will also oversee effective supporter journeys, stewardship and care, ensuring audiences are engaged throughout the supporter lifecycle.
