Job Title:                          Roding, Beam and Ingabourne Catchment Partnership Officer 

Salary: £29,000-£36,352 (pro-rata, 0.6 FTE) dependant on experience (Officer Band A Learning - Officer Band B Developing).  

Contract length:  0.6 FTE, Part-Time Position. Contract to 31st March 2028, with possibility to extend, subject to funding.

Location:This is a hybrid position with a mixture of working from home, Thames21’s main office at the Guildhall, City of London and site visits across Thames21 catchment areas as required.Occasional working from Thames21’s satellite office at Bow Locks, East London may also be required.

Purpose of the job:

This post will form part of Thames21’s Catchment Partnership team. The successful candidate will co-host the Roding, Beam and Ingrebourne (RBI) Catchment Partnership, alongside Thames Chase Trust, and will be responsible for the partnership’s strategic development and expansion, working towards the successful delivery of the Catchment Based Approach (CaBA) to improve the rivers and wider environment in this catchment.

The RBI Catchment Partnership covers an area of approximately 500km2, including the rural areas of Uttlesford, Brentwood, Epping Forest and Thurrock before reaching the urban stretches of Redbridge, Havering, Barking and Dagenham in north-east London where it borders the tidal Thames.

Main duties and responsibilities:

The officer will be expected to deliver across four priority areas:

1.Develop diverse, representative, collaborative and delivery focused partnerships

The successful candidate will need to work autonomously and proactively to seek out and positively engage strategic stakeholders within the RBI catchment area, building the influence and capacity of the Catchment Partnership network to deliver improvements for rivers and local communities. These stakeholders will include (but are not limited to) community groups, landowners, eNGOs, local authorities, government agencies and water companies.

2.Work with partnership networks to identify, develop and fundraise for river catchment improvement projects

Working alongside external partners and Thames21 colleagues, the Catchment Partnership Officer will need to draw on their knowledge of what makes a river catchment healthy to develop ambitious and impactful catchment improvement projects that meet the targets of Thames21’s 5-year plan and the RBI’s Catchment Action Plan. Once identified, the successful candidate will be required to work with relevant Thames21 teams and external partners to successfully fundraise for the development and delivery of these projects.

3.Bring together identified projects into detailed, deliverable catchment and sub-catchment action plans, and monitor progress against these.

The catchment partnership officer will be responsible for developing deliverable catchment and sub-catchment action plans that draw together projects identified across the catchment/sub-catchment area with landowner and stakeholder support. These plans should make the priority projects for delivery clear to external readers and catchment partners, enabling a strategic approach to project delivery in the catchment.

4.Break down silos by sharing information and bringing people together; in a way that is catchment wide, cross boundary and across multiple organisations.

The catchment partnership officer will be expected to share knowledge, news, funding opportunities and project progress between stakeholders through meetings, site visits, email newsletters and quarterly meetings of the whole Catchment Partnership (which the Officer will have the responsibility of arranging, coordinating and chairing, including the production of agendas, minutes and actions). The catchment partnership officer will be expected to communicate the work of their catchment partnership networks externally at relevant forums, including the River Partnerships in London (RiPL) Group, Thames Catchment Forum and strategic community events.

Other Duties

Where necessary, the catchment partnership officer may be required to support and lead on the delivery of river improvement projects, managing project deadlines and budgets. Moreover, this job description cannot cover every issue or task that may arise within Thames21; at various times the post-holder will be directed to carry out other reasonable duties in support of other Thames21 activities that are consistent with those in this Job Description.

Conditions

• Reports to: Co-Executive Director (Content & Engagement)
• Salary: £30,000–£32,000 per annum, depending on experience.
• Contract: 12-month fixed-term contract. As this is a new role, it is initially being offered on a fixed-term basis, with a strong likelihood of becoming permanent following review.
• Working Hours: This is a full-time role based on a 37.5-hour working week, worked across five days. We are committed to flexible working and operate core collaboration hours of 10am–4pm, Monday to Thursday. Outside of these core hours, employees have flexibility over when they work their remaining hours, subject to the needs of the organisation.
• Working Environment: Ocean Generation is a digital-first, home-based organisation, enabling us to maintain a geographically dispersed and diverse team while maximising our investment in our charitable aims. • Location: This is a remote role and candidates may be based anywhere in the UK. As there is no permanent office, you will work from home, although candidates located within reasonable travelling distance of London may be preferred due to occasional meetings. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and ambitious Strategic Partnerships Manager to join our growing Income Generation and Communications team and help develop sustainable income to support specialist end-of-life care across West Northamptonshire.

Duties and Key Responsibilities

• Ensure corporate fundraising activity complies with GDPR, Fundraising Regulator requirements, Charity policies and appropriate due diligence processes.

Working closely with the Trusts Managers, and the Senior Philanthropy & Trusts Manager, you will lead the teams to secure, and grow, vital funding from trust sources to support the welfare of dogs and cats across the UK and internationally. The role currently leads a team of three.

The Trusts Lead will drive forward the Trusts strategy as well as oversee KPI development and measurement, and budgets for the team. The role is also responsible for account managing a handful of partners, as well as an organisationally significant seven-figure relationship with Postcode Lottery, requiring significant work with stakeholders across Battersea.

The post will work closely with colleagues across the organisation, but in particular with the Head of Philanthropy, Partnerships & Commercial, the Senior Corporate & Commercial Partnerships Manager, the Senior Fundraising Operations Manager, the Special Events & Stewardship Manager and Marketing & Communications teams to collaborate on joint projects and ensure contacts are shared to maximise all opportunities.

International Nepal Fellowship (INF) is a Christian health and development charity. Since 1952 they have had a huge impact serving the most disadvantaged people and communities in Nepal.

As Nepal’s longest serving international NGO they continue to have ambitious plans. It is an exciting time to join INF as they enter a bold new strategic phase for 2026 to 2031.

The most disadvantaged communities in Nepal face a lack of access to healthcare, often walking for days to their nearest health post, or being unable to afford even basic treatment.

Kopila, who was diagnosed with leprosy several years ago, is a patient at INF’s Green Pastures Hospital in Pokhara, Nepal.

We are looking for a Trusts Officer to join their small, passionate team. This is a fantastic opportunity to ensure INF UK’s key supporters feel valued and connected with the charity. In partnership with Nepali organisations you will support marginalised people to overcome the barriers they face due to issues such as disability, poverty, gender or caste.

The Role

As Trusts Officer you will report directly to the Philanthropy and Trusts Manager, supporting them to deliver the highest level of stewardship to donors.

As part of the Fundraising and Communications team, you will make an important contribution towards the development of income from major donors and trusts and foundations.

The main responsibilities will include:

• Write engaging, high quality, tailored applications and funder reports.
• Research trust, foundation and grant-giving prospects to develop a prospect pipeline.
• Ensure key supporters feel valued and connected with the charity.
• Manage and maintain accurate records, administration and budgets.

The Person

We are looking for someone who aligns with INF’s values and is passionately committed to their cause. You must be creative, compassionate and empathetic.

This role requires exceptional organisation and the ability to work proactively with initiative. As a small team being approachable, supportive and working collaboratively is key. Proven experience of building successful relationships both internally and externally is also vital, as well as exceptional written and verbal communications skills.

Prior experience in trusts fundraising would be advantageous, however an understanding of how your skills and experience would be transferable in the role would also be considered.

Role overview 

Shine supports a community of over 15,000 members living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus, including 10,000 adults (25+).

You will be delivering high-quality support and creating opportunities for adults living with spina bifida and/or hydrocephalus and their carers, supporting Shine members to lead healthy, independent, and fulfilling lives by improving condition management and fostering connections within the Shine community. 

This role will focus on adults (25+), you will be primarily working within the Adult Services Team. However, there will be occasions when you will work across age groups to ensure the best outcomes for our members. 

The role is home-based and ideally you will live within an hour commute of London, within Essex, Kent or Sussex as you will be attending clinics in London and the Southeast as required. There would be occasional travel required across wider areas and nationally including attendance at events, conferences and meetings at our head office in Peterborough. 

The role is full time 35 hours per week, Monday - Friday with working core hours 9am-5pm with some flexibility to cover events evenings/weekends.

Key Responsibilities 

• Deliver innovative support across your region to improve health, social, and emotional outcomes for members. 

• Attend specialist clinics to engage with members and professionals. 

• Provide information, advice, and guidance to our adult members and carers, including hard-to-reach communities.

We are seeking an experienced philanthropy leader with a strong understanding of US giving to grow major donor income and lead an international Development Team.

Position: Global Head of Philanthropy
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience

About the role

• Strong leadership and team management experience
• Experience of donor reporting and compliance requirements
• Knowledge of CRM systems, ideally Salesforce
• A structured, organised and highly collaborative approach

• The ability and willingness to travel frequently to London and the United States
