SCHOOL COUNSELLORS/THERAPISTS VACANCIES

Recruiting Counsellors/ Play Therapists / Creative Arts Therapists / Music Therapists

Connect-Ed has over 35 years' experience providing professional counselling and therapy services in schools. Working in partnership with around 80 primary, secondary and special schools across London and the South East, we support children and young people experiencing social, emotional and mental health difficulties. Through counselling, play therapy and creative therapeutic interventions, we help pupils build confidence, resilience and positive coping strategies, enabling them to engage fully in school, achieve their potential and develop the skills they need for the future. Our mission is to make a lasting difference to children's lives through high-quality therapeutic support tailored to their individual needs.

 

Over 90% of the children/young people who access our Connect-Ed services have shown a marked improvement in their emotional wellbeing. We are currently looking to recruit creative, enthusiastic and motivated Counsellors / Play Therapists / Creative Arts Therapists / Music Therapists to fill the vacancies at Schools in Hammersmith and Fulham, Hillingdon, Lambeth, Tower Hamlets, Harrow, Southall.

Salary: £32,998.01 to £37,313.54 based on working five days (35 hours) per week (term-time). The salary will be paid pro rata in line with the number of days per week you are contracted to work.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: Part-time 

Working arrangement: School-based

· Primary school in Lambeth (SE11), one day per week

· Primary school in Hammersmith and Fulham (SW6), one day per week

· Primary school in Hillingdon (UB7), one day per week

· Primary school in Lambeth (SW4), one day per week

· Primary school in Tower Hamlets (E3), one day per week

· Primary school in Harrow (HA3), two days per week

· Primary school in Southall (UB2), one day per week

· SEND High School in Hillingdon (UB7), one day per week

· Primary school in Hillingdon (UB4), one day per week

We are seeking compassionate and skilled Therapeutic Practitioners to join our Connect-Ed team, delivering early intervention mental health support within schools. Working in partnership with school staff, families and other professionals, you will help children and young people overcome emotional challenges, develop the confidence and resilience they need to succeed, and achieve their potential both in school and beyond.

Your qualifications and skills

·A qualification in counselling, play therapy or a creative arts therapy (we require at least a Level 5 qualification or above)

·Completed a minimum of 100 clinical hours

·Experience of working with primary or secondary aged young people (whichever is relevant to the role being applied for)

·A good understanding of educational settings

·Current membership of an appropriate professional body (BACP, BAPT, BADth, BAAT, BAMT etc.)

·Where applicable to your qualification/training, be HCPC registered or professionally accredited (or actively working towards accreditation)
