About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are recruiting a Community Outreach & Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of the Connect to Work programme across Kingston and Sutton. This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), working Monday to Friday, with core hours of 9.00am–4.30pm. Hybrid working is available, with a minimum of three days on site per week. Evening work may be required on occasion.

You will report to the Connect to Work Operations Manager and work closely with internal teams and local stakeholders to ensure the service is well integrated and reaches residents who will benefit most.

What you’ll be doing

If you were working with us, your days would be varied, outward-facing and rooted in partnership working. You would play a key role in building and maintaining strong relationships across Kingston and Sutton, working with local organisations to ensure eligible residents are identified, engaged and referred into the Connect to Work programme.

You would proactively engage with a wide range of partners, including Local Authority teams, Jobcentre Plus, health services, VCSE organisations and community groups. This would involve attending forums and partnership meetings, delivering tailored information sessions and presentations, and promoting the Connect to Work service so that referral pathways are clear, effective and aligned with contractual targets.

A central part of the role is ensuring Connect to Work is well integrated with existing local provision. You would work alongside partner teams, including co-locating where appropriate, to support warm handovers into the service and improve participant journeys. You would also identify gaps in local provision and work with internal colleagues to develop solutions that improve access and outcomes for residents.

You would manage and develop strong working relationships with key stakeholders, supported by the Operations Manager and Senior Integration and Partnership Manager. This includes maintaining regular 

communication with partners, contributing to partnership action plans, and providing updates on progress, impact and service developments. You would work collaboratively with internal teams to maximise opportunities for skills development, vacancies and sustainable employment outcomes.

Alongside outreach activity, you would ensure all work is delivered in line with contract requirements, safeguarding protocols and data protection standards. You would maintain accurate records of partnership engagement and referrals, provide timely updates and reports to support service monitoring, and contribute to internal meetings, service reviews and audits. The role also includes attending supervision, appraisal, training and development activities, and acting as a positive ambassador for the organisation by embedding its values in all interactions.

What you’ll need

We are looking for someone who brings the following skills and experience:

• Experience of outreach, partnership working or community engagement within employment, health, social care or VCSE settings

• A strong understanding of the importance of integration and partnership working within employability programmes

• The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders

• Confident verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and persuasively

• Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Experience of working towards targets or outcomes while maintaining a people-centred approach

• Good digital skills, including Microsoft Office and the use of databases or CRM systems

• An understanding of confidentiality, safeguarding and data protection (GDPR) requirements

• A clear commitment to equality, inclusion and supporting people who face barriers to employment

The following experience and knowledge would be beneficial, but is not essential:

• Knowledge of Kingston’s local labour market, services and community networks

• Experience of working on government-funded employability programmes

• Experience of engaging people with mental health and/or physical health needs

• Experience of monitoring, recording or reporting on outreach and referral activity

This is a 0.7 - 0.8 post (25-30 hours per week) with terms to be agreed with the successful candidate.  We are open to flexible working arrangements with the right individual, whether that’s flexitime or compressed hours, or some other agreed arrangement.   

It is expected that the post-holder will work within our premises for 1-2 days a week depending on service needs, and the remainder of hours worked from home, in the community at meetings or events or working on a hybrid basis.

Key tasks and responsibilities:

• To develop and deliver our strategy including a business plan and regular progression reports for the Board to ensure the charity is financially robust.
• To develop existing and new income streams to secure the future of the charity and enable us to meet our charitable objectives of benefitting children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties through arts therapies and arts activities.  This is likely to include grant fundraising, exploring procurement and commissioning routes, philanthropy, appropriate business sponsorship, training delivery and pathways for private purchasing of our service.
• To line manage, support, and collaborate with our Operations and Clinical Director who oversees our team of therapists and practitioners in ensuring all staff are adequately trained, registered, supervised and supported to provide an excellent service to our clients.
• To provide leadership for the charity both internally in regards to a positive and nurturing culture and externally in regard to reputation, partnerships and opportunities.
• To ensure all relevant policies are implemented effectively, developed and reviewed as required.
• To act as one of three Designated Safeguarding Officers and ensure policy is implemented effectively.
• To ensure the charity fulfils all its statutory obligations, working alongside the Board to achieve this.
• To ensure the charity has appropriate systems in place for the management and mitigation of risk.
• To ensure the charity meets its obligations under health and safety law.
• To lead on the development of innovative arts therapy programmes, in collaboration with our Operations and Clinical Director, our staff team and stakeholders.
• To ensure evaluation and impact data is collected and utilised for our learning and to provide evidence for the effectiveness of YAHT’s services.
• To act as an ambassador for the charity.
• If relevant, to carry a small caseload of children and young people to remain practising as an Arts Therapist or other registered mental health professional (if relevant, see desirable criteria).

Hours: Zero-hours, ad-hoc engagement. Work is entirely demand-led and may range from periods of no activity to short-term or intermittent assignments, depending on operational needs

Can you use your health expertise to shape our humanitarian health response?

UK-Med is a frontline medical aid charity. Born of the NHS, we’ve been working for over 30 years towards a world where everyone has the healthcare they need when crises or disasters hit.

We are seeking a small number of health professionals to join us as part-time Health Referents to build on the health expertise in our core team. Our core Health Team has significant expertise in humanitarian healthcare and has always brought in additional expert support through consultancies when required. Following a period of significant growth, we are looking to bring specific expertise into the core team on an ongoing basis through a group of part-time Health Referents.

Our Health Referents will bring specific technical expertise in a variety to health fields to ensure that UK-Med’s programme design and implementation remain in line with current best practice.

As a Health Referent, you will provide clinical / technical health expertise and advice, contributing to our work through:

• Advising and guiding our health teams in humanitarian contexts in their planning and work
• Helping design SOPs, policies, and guidance documents for your field of expertise
• Developing capacity building interventions (e.g. training sessions, online learning packages, coaching) to develop skills of UK-Med personnel and our partners (e.g. Ministry of Health staff, other NGOs)
• Helping to ensure we have the right people working in humanitarian responses by shaping role descriptions, person specifications, selection interview questions and model answers
• Working on programme design and proposal preparation for work linked to your expertise
• Contribution to quality assurance and after-action reviews of health activities

Our ideal candidates will be a highly skilled health professionals with significant experience of humanitarian health responses. You will be flexible enough to respond to urgent requests, and able to deliver against longer-term objectives working independently with minimal guidance.

Centre 33 is an ambitious and growing charity based across Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. This is an exciting opportunity to join our established ‘Someone to Talk to’ service in a Team Lead role.  The Team Lead will manage and oversee a team of staff and volunteers supporting young people across Centre 33’s two hubs in our North Locality – in Peterborough, Huntingdon and Wisbech. The Team Lead will work closely with the other Team Leads and Heads of Service to jointly ensure our multidisciplinary teams deliver excellent, safe, impactful and responsive services to young people.

We are looking for a highly motivated professional with experience working within a Mental Health, or youth work role, and with experience of managing people.  The Team Lead will bring strong expertise and leadership to Centre 33’s mental health support offer for young people aged 13-25 years, leading the teams delivering counselling and the wider, flexible emotional wellbeing offer. They will be responsible for providing support with case allocation, case management, reflective practice, risk management and Safeguarding. They will provide day-to-day designated Safeguarding leadership, supported by the Head of Service and Director of Services.  They will develop strong relationships with local organisations and statutory services to ensure effective joint working and support for young people.  This role may deliver ad hoc case work to support young people with more complex needs but will hold only a limited ongoing, regular case load.

The hours of work for this role are predominantly within core opening hours of 10 to 6pm, with some evening/Saturday working based on a rota. Due to our service delivery, it is important that the Team Lead is available for hub-based work during our core working hours.

The Programme Manager will coordinate and drive delivery of the North Central London Gambling Harms Reduction Alliance, a major two-year initiative involving partners across all five NCL boroughs, NHS, Thrive LDN, voluntary and community sector partners, King’s College London, and people with lived experience.

This role is central to delivering an ambitious, innovative, and highly collaborative public health programme aimed at preventing and reducing gambling-related harms across NCL.

The Senior Support Worker is the lead practitioner within their designated intensive support  domestic abuse refuge, providing day-to-day operational oversight and support to staff, volunteers and bank staff. 

Working closely with the Refuge Manager and Deputy Refuge Manager, the postholder ensures the consistent delivery of high-quality, trauma-informed support to women and children fleeing domestic abuse. The role acts as the main point of continuity within the refuge, supporting staff induction, maintaining standards of practice, and contributing to a safe, stable and supportive environment.

The Finance Officer will support the Director of Finance and Governance with key areas of responsibility around day to day financial administration and governance administration tasks. 

We are looking for an experienced bookkeeper, who is confident managing day to day finances and administration, can work with little supervision and is able to manage workload to meet reporting

deadlines. This is a varied and hands on role, ideal for someone who enjoys making things run smoothly behind the scenes and takes pride in getting the details right.

Our Time Charity is seeking an experienced Development Manager to help grow and embed our early help and family mental health services across the UK.

This is a senior, outward-facing role focused on securing statutory income, developing high-quality tenders, and building strong relationships with local authorities, Family Hubs and strategic partners. A key priority will be positioning KidsTime Workshops as a recognised, commissioned early help offer within local authority family support systems.

Working closely with the CEO, you will identify high-impact opportunities, navigate commissioning processes, and help ensure more children affected by parental mental illness receive timely, preventative support.

This role is ideal for someone with experience in local authority commissioning, business development or statutory income generation, who understands early intervention and wants to use their skills to create lasting social impact.

We are looking for a new Finance Manager to be responsible for the effective day-to-day financial management of the charity supporting the CEO with the Finance Strategy.

She will be driven, ensuring robust financial controls, accurate reporting and compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements including the Charity Commission and Charity SORP (FRS 102).

She will work closely with the CEO, SMT and Trustees and she will provide clear, timely financial information to support sound operational and strategic decision-making and help ensure the long-term sustainability of the organisation.

The HR Officer will provide expert support and advice to operational management in all areas of HR whilst consistently demonstrating HR best practice. The HR Officer will be the initial point of contact for all operational HR related matters. 

Occasional travel to team meetings across the region.

About the role 

Your main duties will include: 

• Providing first level advice and guidance on HR Policies and procedures, employment law and employee relations issues with the guidance of the HR Services Manager as required
• Advising and supporting Business Support Managers with disciplinary, grievance, absence management, and performance improvement cases.
• Ensure the provision of appropriate, timely and accurate management information to support strategy development, management decision making and improve the effectiveness of HR Services as and when required.
• Review sickness absence and undertake relevant interventions, including referrals to Occupational Health and advice to Managers on phased return.

About you

The successful applicant will have: 

• Qualified or working towards CIPD
• Experienced in developing metrics and reports with data analysis ability
• Excellent working knowledge of Excel, Word and Outlook
• Experienced in supporting managers with ER cases
