About Your Place...
Your Place is a supported housing service for individuals who have experienced homelessness and may be living with mental health challenges, substance misuse, or complex trauma.
The environment can at times be unpredictable, and properties may experience higher levels of wear and tear than typical residential settings. The ideal Maintenance Officer must be comfortable working in these environments and demonstrate patience, resilience, and a non-judgemental approach at all times.
They will regularly access occupied rooms and communal areas and may encounter individuals in distress or displaying challenging behaviours. They will be supported by a wider team but must be able to maintain professional boundaries while showing empathy and respect.
Duties & Responsabilities:
·Support daily, weekly & monthly planned maintenance tasks as scheduled (fire alarm tests, water temperature recording, emergency lighting tests, etc.)

The Programme Officer will be responsible for the management and overall delivery of their designated programmes.This role will involve managing relationships with tutors, parents and clients, while collecting robust qualitative and quantitative data to measure the impact and build the success of our work. This is a critical role, leading on the delivery and evaluation of multiple programmes, managing key stakeholder relationships, and contributing to the sustainability and growth of our work in a challenging funding climate.
This role will be focused on our growing work in Lewisham, a priority area for TU with high need, multi-year commitment from a range of partners, and incredible family engagement. About the role:

Job Title: Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (Housing IGVA)
Location: The GAIA Centre (Lambeth, London)
Salary: £29,701.36 per annum (Inclusive of London Weighting, which may not be applicable depending on your home location and any agreed permanent homeworking arrangement)
Contract type: Full time, Permanent
Hours: 37.5 hours per week. The working pattern is 9am – 5pm Monday – Friday. Occasional late early shifts: 8am-4pm or late shifts: 1pm – 6pm on a rota basis to cover duty (approximately 2-3 days a month). Flexibility on how the hours is spread across the week within these times.
The Housing Independent Gender Violence Advocate (IGVA) will be embedded within borough housing teams to facilitate the dual working that will ensure that survivors’ safety and housing needs are met. This includes:
· Close working relationships with Housing colleagues
· Provision of specialist knowledge relating to DA for Housing Officers and Homelessness Teams to draw on
· Specialist support for survivors at the moment of crisis
· Provision of advocacy; supporting survivors to access safe accommodation
· Ongoing support from the IGVA from wider DA service, including access to group clinical supervision, casework management meetings, reflective practice sessions, one-to-one supervision from service manager
The Housing IGVA will work closely with victims of gender-based violence from the point of crisis, to provide high quality independent advocacy and support to survivors of gender-based violence at the highest risk and their children. The role will be part of increasing the ability of partner agencies to recognise, reject and respond appropriately and safely to all forms of gender-based violence (including domestic violence, sexual, financial and emotional abuse, female genital mutilation, forced marriage and honour-based violence).
The job involves working within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership protocols and procedures that prioritise the safety of survivors. The job involves informing survivors of the full range of civil, criminal, housing and practical options that might increase their safety. The post holder will empower survivors by providing them with emotional, practical and personal welfare support especially around complex housing needs.
The job involves ensuring that women are provided with a safe, supportive and welcoming environment, enabling them to access their rights, make decisions and increase their life options.

About the role:

As PRS Access and Resettlement Officer, you will be out there opening doors: building relationships with landlords and letting agents, identifying suitable private rented sector options, and helping clients move into homes where they can build stability, independence and confidence.
Day to day, you will work closely with Single Homeless Project (SHP) caseworkers and frontline teams to identify clients who are ready to explore PRS move-on, assess affordability and tenancy readiness, support property searches, arrange viewings, liaise with landlords, and help clients navigate the practical steps needed to secure a tenancy. You will provide clear advice around housing options, welfare benefits, tenancy expectations and sustainment, while supporting colleagues to feel confident using PRS pathways as part of their move-on planning.
This is a role with real pace, purpose and impact. You will need to be creative, persistent and confident in your communication, especially when negotiating with landlords, unblocking barriers or advocating for clients who may have been let down by systems before. There will be a mixture of working in the community (attending viewings across London), working from office and working from home.
About you:
- You understand the barriers people can face when moving on from homelessness, and you bring the empathy, persistence and practical problem solving needed to help people overcome them.
- You have experience of housing, resettlement, tenancy sustainment, homelessness support or a similar frontline setting, with the ability to give clear, realistic advice to clients and colleagues.
- You are confident building relationships with landlords, letting agents, local authorities and partner agencies, and know how to turn conversations into opportunities.
- You can balance warmth with honest, practical conversations about affordability, tenancy readiness, rent, benefits, expectations and the responsibilities that come with a new home.

This is an exciting opportunity to join our small but professional and friendly development team to continue the delivery of our high quality new build homes programme.
We design our homes to high-standards, incorporating local architectural features. Our ‘fabric first’ approach to design and construction, coupled with and our commitment to renewable energy technologies, aims to reduce environmental impact and running costs for our residents. We build small scale schemes of quality homes that are in keeping with the village. Our approach involves forming a community-led local partnership to research, enable and deliver affordable rural homes.
Working under the leadership of the Development Director and collaboratively with internal colleagues and external consultants and contractors. The role will be to fully coordinate from inception working with Rural Housing Enablers, site acquisition and planning through to completion with the day-to-day project management of rural exception site housing delivery (noting, we do deliver some through selective Section 106 planning schemes with housing developers). Our typical land lead sites are around eight to twelve affordable homes, and may incorporate some open market housing to provide some necessary cross subsidy funding.
About you:
To succeed in this role, you will have a proven track record in working and successfully delivering affordable housing development and preferably rural housing. You will need excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to work both collaboratively but also be an independent self-starter. It takes a special person with professionalism, enthusiasm, initiative, tenacity and a great deal of pride in the end product to stay the course and deliver these small, often challenging yet ultimately rewarding community lead housing schemes. The right candidate will also ideally have some technical construction experience, either from formal qualification of direct housing delivery. Role Purpose
The Front of House & Security staff play a pivotal role within the Head Office of Mothers Union, called Mary Sumner House, acting as the primary point of contact for all visitors, tenants, and clients. This role is responsible for delivering a professional, secure, and high-quality front-of-house experience while supporting the smooth day-to-day operation of a busy conference and office environment within a Grade II listed building in Westminster.
The postholder will ensure the effective coordination of meeting room bookings, uphold security and health & safety standards, and contribute to maintaining an exceptional environment that reflects the organisation’s values. Working independently and collaboratively, they will support the broader facilities and tenant management and conference operations.
Core Responsibilities
· To provide a professional, welcoming and secure “front of house” service for Mothers’ Union, acting as the first point of contact for all visitors, members, guests, tenants and clients.
· To maintain the security of the building and staff by monitoring access, CCTV and emergency procedures.
· To assist with meeting-room bookings.
· To deliver exceptional customer service and a premium experience for all tenants, clients, guests and VIPs.
· To maintain a safe, secure, welcoming and immaculate environment in line with brand standards and health & safety protocols.
Detailed Tasks
Front of House / Reception
- Welcome visitors, guests, tenants and clients warmly and professionally, ensuring a first-class, personalised and memorable experience for every arrival and departure.
- Manage VIP arrivals and departures with seamless, attentive and personalised service.
- Greet and assist professionally; provide information, directions, to desired locations and general support as required.
- Answer mainline overflow calls, in addition to routed room booking calls and respond to emails courteously, promptly and efficiently, redirecting or handling enquiries appropriately.
- Deal with any queries or concerns from guests/clients with professionalism and problem-solving skills.
- Create and maintain positive rapport and excellent professional relationships with guests, clients, tenants and team members.
- Ensure all internal and external clients feel valued and supported at all times.
- Receive, and distribute incoming post and deliveries acting as the building’s Post Master to include franking the outgoing MU related post.
- Maintain general tidiness, cleanliness and a professional standard in all front-of-house areas and customer suites.
Security
- Sign in all visitors and issue access passes to contractors in accordance with building procedures.
- Maintain lobby presence and ensure entrance doors are covered at all times.
- Assist in emergency situations (including fire evacuations, incident isolations and drills) and ensure common areas and fire exits remain clear.
- Understand and strictly adhere to health & safety policies, security measures, building access control protocols and SOPs.
Conferencing & Meeting Room Support
- To handle enquiries, take and manage bookings for meeting rooms.
- In the absence of the Conference Manager, cover bookings, administration and liaison with the facilities team to ensure rooms are set up correctly with refreshments and AV equipment.
General MU Operational Support
1. Contribute to the continuous improvement of front-of-house services and operational processes within Mary Sumner House.
2. Undertake any other duties as may reasonably be required by your Line Manager or Department Director, in line with the scope and responsibilities of the role to support the wider organisation.

Work Location/Hybrid Working Pattern

We are looking to cover the hours of 8am to 6pm, Monday to Friday ideally split into morning and afternoon shifts to allow lunchtime cover, flexibility during busier periods and sustainability to provide appropriate cover for each other during periods of annual leave.
