This brand-new store in Watchfield is a fantastic step forward in expanding our presence in the community, helping us raise even more vital funds to support local people living with life-limiting illness. Since 1980, Prospect Hospice has been at the heart of the community, delivering expert, compassionate end-of-life care. Our stores are essential in raising funds, and now with 18 locations and growing, this is an exciting time to join our team.
Hours: 37.5 hours per week (5 days from 7, Monday–Sunday, including weekends and Bank Holidays)
What is the role?
As Store Manager, you will take full responsibility for the success of our new Watchfield store. You will:
- Maximise sales and profitability through strong commercial awareness and an enterprising approach
- Deliver outstanding customer service and visual merchandising, creating an inviting and inclusive store environment
- Recruit, train, and support a team of volunteers and an Assistant Store Manager, helping them to thrive and grow
- Drive Gift Aid donations and achieve income targets that directly support hospice care
- Oversee stock control, cash handling, and ensure compliance with health & safety and trading standards
- Act as a community ambassador, building meaningful local relationships and promoting the work of Prospect Hospice
You will work collaboratively, engaging with the local community to build a strong team of volunteers, attract high-quality donations, and encourage new ideas—continually developing the store into a successful, welcoming destination at the heart of the Watchfield community.
What we are looking for
- Proven experience as a Retail Manager / Store Manager (charity retail experience desirable)
- Strong leadership skills with a positive, people-focused approach
- Commercially driven with a passion for sales and customer experience
- Experience managing teams or volunteers, stock control, and store operations
- Confident managing targets, cash handling, and retail compliance
- Flexible, organised, and motivated to make a difference
- Full driving licence and willingness to support other stores if required
This is an active role involving regular lifting and moving of stock and extended periods on your feet. Manual handling training will be provided. Job Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and driven Events & Corporate Partnerships Manager to play a key role in delivering our fundraising ambitions across England and Wales. This is a varied and hands-on role, combining strategic relationship-building with high-quality event delivery to generate income and deepen supporter engagement.
The Events & Corporate Partnerships Manager will take ownership of a portfolio of major fundraising events, from planning and budgeting through to delivery and follow-up. This includes developing the annual events strategy, managing income and expenditure, supporting ticket and table sales, sourcing prizes, and ensuring an exceptional supporter experience throughout.
Working closely with the Head of Fundraising, they will build and convert a pipeline of corporate partners, developing compelling proposals and securing new partnerships to meet income targets. They will also lead on the stewardship of these relationships, delivering tailored engagement plans that demonstrate impact and maximise retention.
Alongside delivery, the Events & Corporate Partnerships Manager will monitor performance, manage budgets, and maintain accurate reporting and CRM data, working collaboratively with Fundraising and Marketing colleagues to maximise results.
Key Responsibilities
Major SOHK Events
- Events Lead: Take full ownership of the SOHK organised major events in England, Scotland and Wales.
- Develop and deliver an annual events strategy & Calendar that is aligned with FRT targets
- Set and manage event budgets, income targets and KPIs
- Ensure exceptional supporter experience at all touch points.
- Source high value auction and raffle prizes
- Work closely with FRT to sell tables & tickets at events.
- Ensure prize donors, table buyers and supporters have a great experience of SOHK – feeling thanked and appreciated.
- Plan thoroughly for post event stewardship and follow up
Corporate Partnerships (working with Head of Fundraising)
- Build a pipeline of potential corporate partners and continually seek to add to pipeline as needed
- Research and make high quality approaches
- Confidently write winning pitches and present at meetings
- Secure new partnerships to achieve income targets
- Stewardship: Act as the main point of contact for partnerships that are allocated to you; nurturing and strengthening the relationships
- Develop and implement tailored cultivation and stewardship plans to enhance partner engagement and retention
- Demonstrate the impact of partner contributions to maximise retention (alongside our Marketing & Comms Team)
Reporting, Monitoring & Budgeting
- Report as required on all activity and progress to the Head of Fundraising
- Monitor and manage expenditure related to fundraising activities – managing P&L sheet
- Ensure data capture for CRM (Beacon) from all events
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Proven experience in event management, including planning, delivery, and evaluation of fundraising or engagement events
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple events and competing priorities
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with a wide range of stakeholders, including donors, sponsors, volunteers, and suppliers
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organisation professionally

Terms of Appointment

POST OUTLINE
A rare opportunity to create and lead Individual Giving and Legacies at a pivotal point of growth within an ambitious fundraising team. This role will define the strategy and create and deliver on establishing income streams that will be central to future success. MAIN DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
The role will lead the creation and delivery of Individual Giving and Legacies programmes, establishing two core income streams that will drive sustainable growth. It will define strategy, build insight-led, multi-channel programmes and design supporter journeys that deepen engagement over time, from first gift to long term support and legacy giving.
Working across the organisation the postholder will embed a strong supporter focus, ensuring that fundraising is integrated into wider engagement activity. You will take ownership of income performance, budgets and continuous improvement through data, testing and learning.

Philanthropy and Partnerships fundraising at Alzheimer's Research UK has grown significantly over recent years. The Directorate has a strong track record of soliciting seven-figure donations and winning significant corporate partnerships with well-known and well-loved brands such as Omaze, Cadbury, Warburtons, Roadchef and Dobbies.
We are now building upon this success and have launched a new, significant fundraising campaign. This campaign will help drive further transformational growth, from income across major donors, trusts and foundations, and corporate partners. Ultimately, it will help us fund cutting-edge research that will bring forward the day when we can diagnose, treat and prevent dementia.
As part of Alzheimer’s Research UK’s Leadership Team, and working closely with the senior stakeholders across ARUK, the Head of Philanthropy will lead the organisation’s work with our philanthropy audiences (namely major donors, trusts and foundations). Under the banner of the new campaign, the Head of Philanthropy will define and implement the team’s strategy, ensuring it supports the charity’s vision, mission and strategic objectives.
The Head of Philanthropy will lead a Directorate of approximately 8-10 people and line manage three team members (namely the Philanthropy Executive and two Philanthropy Managers).
The role holder will also personally lead on relationships with a small group of ARUK’s most generous supporters, and prospective supporters, across Philanthropy audiences.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategy, finance and reporting
· Work with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships and Partnerships to lead on the strategy for the Philanthropy Team, including leading on the Ops plan, budgeting and strategy for the team.
· Grow Philanthropy income at Alzheimer’s Research UK, in line with agreed targets and expenditure.
· Monitor progress against targets, adjusting as necessary.
· Provide direction, guidance and support across the Philanthropy team.
· Evaluate reporting methods across the team and ensure they facilitate the accurate recording of the Philanthropy team’s fundraising activities.
· Represent the Philanthropy team at Head level internally.
Fundraising
· Manage a small portfolio of key current and prospective donors, building strategic relationships at the very highest level and delivering six and seven-figure gifts.
· Build a network of Senior Volunteers, working with the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships to ensure the team are maximising the opportunities available through our President, Chair and other senior stakeholders.
· Develop a thorough understanding of ARUK’s projects, policies and activities to enable you to articulate the mission of our work and inspire people to join us.
· Present and pitch to potential supporters and donors, managing high-level meetings where relevant and engaging other appropriate senior representation when needed.
· Ensure high-quality management of existing supporter relationships, making sure supporters find giving to ARUK rewarding and enjoyable.
· Tailor and develop Cases for Support to attract support for the work of ARUK’s projects.
· Manage and attend events and meetings with external representatives and involving the Director of Philanthropy and Partnerships, CEO and other colleagues and volunteers.
· Work with senior and scientific staff, empowering them to build relationships with current and prospective supporters.
· Explore the opportunities for cross-team working, especially, but not limited to the Corporate Fundraising and Celebrity teams.
Line Management and people management
· Inspire, motivate, challenge and support individuals and teams within the Philanthropy team. Promote collaborative working across the team and with other teams across the charity, developing a culture of innovation, openness, accountability and resourcefulness.
· Line manage three members of staff, namely two Philanthropy Managers and the Donor Relations Manager, actively empowering, coaching and supporting them to develop their teams’ operational plans and deliver on key priorities.
· Set clear goals, objectives and KPIs for each team member and provide them with the ongoing guidance and support they need to reach them.
· Role model and actively embed Alzheimer’s Research UK values and behaviours across all activities, and champion the principles of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion.
· Provide strong leadership and support to the Philanthropy Team, through coaching, mentoring and developing individuals to enable them to effectively carry out their role. Carry out performance appraisal meetings and effectively promote team building and collaborative working to deliver the strategic and operational plans.
· Ensure all Philanthropy and Partnerships activity is conducted to the highest standards and in line with the strategic priorities, developing consistent and rigorous methods for measuring success and sharing knowledge/outcomes across the team, department, and wider charity.
Communications
· Work closely with the Finance team to ensure all grants are correctly allocated and used, and conditions met
· Liaise and work with the Research team and the Communications team to produce accurate and timely reports and applications
· Stay up to date with ARUK’s research and other news to be able to communicate effectively with supporters, disseminating the charity’s key messages both among the team and to key supporters.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Demonstrable knowledge and experience of major gift fundraising.

Additional Information:
Ways of working: As part of our Agile ways of working you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

As Fundraising Lead- North & North Wales, you will lead Philanthropy and Corporate fundraising across your region, developing relationships with high‑net‑worth individuals, senior business leaders and corporate partners.
You will manage Centre Fundraising Managers, and support them on planning and prioritisation, work with Fundraising Boards as appropriate, and share best practice across Maggie’s. You will also help develop new fundraising opportunities.
This role requires a confident and collaborative leader who can coach teams, manage multiple stakeholders, work independently across a large region, representing Maggie’s with clarity and credibility.
There are four fundraising leads covering Scotland, North and North Wales, Midlands and South Wales and South. This role will work closely with the following centres: Newcastle, Middlesbrough, Yorkshire, Manchester, Oldham, The Wirral, North Wales, (Liverpool – not yet open).

About the team
The Strategy, Planning and Performance Manager reports to the Director of Strategy, Performance and Planning, working across both UK and the global federation’s performance and planning functions and our Global Strategy. They will therefore belong both to the UK Finance, Technology and Strategic Planning Directorate team and to the Global Secretariat. The team consists of roles that work across WAUK and WA international.
About the role
As our Strategy, Performance and Planning Manager, you will play a pivotal role in our global planning and performance cycle, translating strategy into actionable insights that maximise impact, and work closely with senior leaders, country programmes, global member teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive sustainable change.
In this role, you will:
- Play a leading role in the planning and reporting cycle in WAUK and WAi, ensuring aligned business plans that maximise the potential contribution of each member to WaterAid’s Global Strategy and impact
- Use strong analysis and presentation skills, to feed into a coherent narrative that drives data informed decisions and actions
- Lead multi-annual and thematic reviews of progress against the Global Strategy to assess contribution to global change, identify achievements and challenges, lessons learned and recommendations.
- Support development and evolution of WaterAid’s Global Strategy, project managing key enablers of the strategy and drawing on expertise, experience and perspectives from across the organisation to drive progress.
- Lead on strategy development at Global, Member and Country Programme level, working within the wider strategy remit and supporting the wider federation’s objectives at all times.
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
To be successful, you will need:
- Strategic and critical thinking across complex and fast-moving environments: with the ability to consider how trends and shifts in the wider world and internally may affect strategic delivery
- Strong analytical skills with a good understanding of performance measurement in data-poor environments and qualitative evaluation methodologies that enable deep reflection on performance
- Knowledge of corporate planning, with an understanding of different approaches in different contexts
- Effective stakeholder management; able to understand and present to diverse audiences, anticipating differing needs
- A degree with substantial experience in strategy, planning, and performance management within a reputable organisation. A Master’s degree would be advantageous but not essential.

About the Role
The Partnerships Manager will play a key role in driving income growth through philanthropy and strategic partnerships. Our communities are facing unprecedented challenges with rising costs. The rising cost-of-living continues to directly impact individuals and families, with more people than ever in negative budgets, debt and housing crises.
This role would provide direct line management to the following teams:
- Client Services Team - the initial access points for up to 80% of clients accessing our services. From client facing work at our local town centre premises through to processing our online referral forms, this team is integral to ensuring that clients can access our services.
- Volunteer Team – led by 2 part-time volunteer supervisors, our team of 30 volunteers deliver advice to clients over the phone and face to face. Delivering over 6000 hours of volunteering per year, this team has increased by 50% in the past 12 months and is continuing to grow across the organisation.
- Community Outreach Team – responsible for delivering community outreach advice sessions across Bury and Bolton, as well as representing CABB in local/ neighbourhood meetings and building relationships with key community stakeholders. This team attended over 700 sessions in 2025, and with increased resources we now envisage this to continue increasing, ensuring we are delivering advice to our clients in the spaces and places they feel comfortable in, removing barriers to advice.
These teams collectively make up our client access points, in 2025-2026 supporting over 16,000 clients to access our services and receive information, guidance and advice.
There’s no ‘average’ day for our teams – each client, case and community location is different. You will be responsible for supporting these teams, enhancing the service and ensuring that we are able to provide high quality information, guidance and advice to clients when they access our services.

The Relationship Manager will lead one or a small portfolio of programmes.
For all programmes within our portfolio, the VCS Alliance acts as the lead accountable organisation. The postholder will be responsible for ensuring that delivery under the programme(s) takes place aligned with the VCSA values.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Key Working Relationships: Form a network with a wide range of partners that is supportive of each other.
- Foster strong relationships through effective partnership working, ensuring mutual benefits and successful relationship management.
- Facilitate and be the guardian of the co-production of clear principles of engagement, common priorities, and shared agendas.
- Ensure actions are completed by all internal and external stakeholders.
- Ensure VCSE partners are well represented in engagement with commissioners and develop a strong reputation of the VCSE as partners.
- Operational With support from the Senior Relationship Manager, act as the lead accountable body for programmes within the portfolio.
- Advise delivery partners on how best practice might be adopted for future development of services.
- Facilitate, co-ordinate, and chair multi-disciplinary meetings and events.
- Manage the information shared before, during, and after meetings.
- Work with other VCS Alliance staff to ensure connections to other relevant programmes across the system.
- Work with other VCS Alliance staff to develop and operate monitoring processes that support learning and assess effectiveness of provision.
- Lead on a range of programmes to ensure that the outcomes agreed are delivered on time, to quality standards, and in a cost-effective manner, adjusting plans as required.
- Monitor finance expenditure and outputs relating to programme, budget and report to Senior Leadership Team and Board as appropriate.
- Work with the Senior Relationship Manager and other VCSA staff to ensure accurate information is entered into template contracting agreements for effective project management.
