The online community coordinator will help create a safe, welcoming online community where disabled people can connect, share experiences and discuss topics that matter to them.

They will work alongside online community coordinators and online community children and family specialists. Together, the team moderates discussions, creates content, manages newsletters, answers member queries, supports volunteers and runs community engagement programmes.

Permanent, full time (35 hours a week, will include some evenings and weekends)

Location: Ideally based near one of office locations (Cardiff, Leeds, London or Manchester) but the role will primarily involve working at home.

The Role

The online community coordinator’s main responsibilities are to make the online community a safe and supportive place.

You will do this by:

· Moderating community content, including managing, moving, renaming and organising discussions, as well as our shared inboxes.

· Welcoming, supporting and engaging community members, responding to queries and signposting relevant resources.

· Creating, publishing and organising engaging community content, including discussions, blogs, games, videos, podcasts and newsletters.

· Recruiting, training, supporting and coordinating volunteer moderators and contributors.

· Promoting community safety by following safeguarding procedures and escalating concerns appropriately.

· Tracking and reporting on community performance, engagement and service data.

· Running community engagement programmes and initiatives to encourage participation.

· Supporting colleagues and volunteers through regular debriefing and reflective practice.

· Building relationships with external organisations to promote community content and opportunities.

About the role 

In this Senior Marketing Officer role with the Activation Team you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Press Inserts campaigns. You will be supporting the Senior Marketing Manager and taking direct responsibility in the exploration and delivery of new campaigns, projects and channels. The role will also include support in the delivery of the DRTV and Brand programmes as well as supporting with ad hoc team requirements.

It’s an exciting time to join as we look to new and exciting ways to tell our story so you’ll be working with a range of internal and external teams to drive the programme forward. 

In this role, you will: 

1. Work closely with multiple internal and external teams, creative and media agencies and printers. Manage key agency relationships, including liaising with account managers to deliver campaigns and projects. 
2. Be responsible for developing the strategy, analysis and reporting of ongoing Press Insert campaigns. 
3. Work with the Insight Team and creative agencies to manage and deliver audience focussed communications. 
4. Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) to prepare annual plans and budgets and manage monthly cost monitoring and invoice processing. 
5. Collaborate with relevant colleagues in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities. 
6. Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding. 

Requirements

To be successful, you will need: 

• Proven experience in a successful direct marketing, fundraising, supporter activation and/or supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role. 

• Experience working in a project managing role, in particular leading or supporting on the delivery of complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders. 

• Ability to work flexibly and independently, to manage varying competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with often changing priorities 

Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have: 

• Experience of project managing direct marketing campaigns from start to finish across a range of channels, including print, telemarketing and digital.

• Experience of presenting to and project managing internal and external stakeholders.

• Experience of working in the voluntary/fundraising sector. 

• Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and being able to work to short deadlines

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Finance Director with a social enterprise on a full-time, permanent basis. As Finance Director, you will lead the Finance function, providing high-quality financial planning, reporting, control, technical accounting and decision support that enables the COO, CEO, Leadership Team and Board to manage financial sustainability, risk and performance across the organisation.

The role has a particular focus on property finance, including the financial stewardship of the organisation’s mixed-use estate property portfolio, service charge arrangements, long-term asset planning and accounting for land and buildings, alongside senior oversight of charity / and social enterprise accounting and long-term financial sustainability. Please note, the COO retains senior executive ownership of financial strategy, capital allocation and organisation-wide financial sustainability.

As Finance Director, you will:

- Lead on organisation-wide budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes, balancing operational requirements with long-term financial resilience and sustainability

- Maintain an effective framework of financial governance, delegated authorities and internal controls that protects organisational assets and supports sound decision making

- Lead on the performance, capability and continuous development of the Finance function, ensuring effective delivery of finance services across the organisation with a business partnering ethos

- Provide strategic financial advice, challenge and recommendations to the COO, Leadership Team and Board on organisational performance, investment decisions and financial risks

- Contribute to organisational strategy, performance management and transformation initiatives

by ensuring financial considerations are embedded within major decisions and change programmes

The successful applicant will:

- Have significant demonstrable experience in finance within the not-for-profit sector, in a similar role (evidence of continuing professional development in charity / social enterprise finance, property finance, VAT, audit, treasury or systems improvement)

- Be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA etc)

- Have more than 3 years’ experience leading a finance function or senior finance team in a complex organisation

- Be able to work confidently across multiple entities with property ownership within the group (knowledge of, or experience working with asset-owning, organisations and that own, manage or account for mixed-use property subsidiaries assets, including commercial, community or residential elements)

- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

The policy officer is based in our policy, evidence and influencing team. They support our vital work to create change for people with breast cancer across the UK.

The policy officer supports our policy development work by building knowledge of key policy issues, drafting policy materials and helping with the generation of evidence and insight to shape our work. They work closely with public affairs and campaigns colleagues to develop and deliver influencing strategies to support our policy calls.

They work with others across Breast Cancer Now to inform our policy development, provide advice on key areas of policy and keep everyone informed about our work. They also work with other organisations to influence on shared priorities.

You’ll have experience of policy development work, including developing written briefings, working with supporters and analysing evidence and insight to support policy development.

You’ll be an excellent communicator, who can translate complex information into accessible language. And you’ll have great interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with others including people with breast cancer and the public.

You’ll be organised, able to coordinate projects, and able to prioritise work effectively under pressure. You’ll need to work effectively as a member of a team.

Financial Controller | £76,000 - £92,906 + Benefits | Aberdeen | Hybrid Working

For a new publicly owned energy company set up by the UK Government and backed by a capitalisation of £8.3 billion, we are recruiting a Financial Controller. Initially part of the Civil Service, this role will be transferred over once the organisation has been fully structured and will be key in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, internal controls, accounting and investment policies and continuous improvement thereafter. BAU will include leading the audit, month-end, year-end, cash management and investments analysis and manages a team of two.

Main Duties:

• Lead the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and internal controls aligned with HM Treasury, FreM, and MPM requirements
• Lead and deliver the Annual Report and Accounts as well as the financial statements, and audit, acting as key contact for the external auditors
• Develop and maintain accounting policies, ensuring all transactions and investments are in line with IFRS/FreM
• Lead and improve month-end and year-end close processes
• Oversee balance sheet reconciliations and oversee treasury and cash management including forecasting funding requirements, and recording of cash movements

Role Purpose

We are looking for a Senior Education and Events Officer to coordinate and deliver our education and events programme for people affected by pulmonary fibrosis, healthcare professionals and wider stakeholders.

This is a hands-on role at the heart of APF’s work. You will plan and deliver education sessions, webinars, conferences and events, making sure they are welcoming, accessible, well organised and shaped around the needs of the people we support.

You will manage the full attendee journey, from registration and communications through to delivery, feedback and follow-up. You will also coordinate APF’s presence at external conferences, work with speakers, clinicians and partners, and help ensure people who engage with our events can easily access wider APF information, support and opportunities.

We are looking for someone with strong experience of organising events, education sessions, webinars, training or similar activity. You will be highly organised, confident working with a wide range of stakeholders and comfortable managing logistics, digital platforms, databases and attendee communications.

You will also be confident hosting or supporting sessions both online and in person, and able to use feedback and data to improve future activity.

Role description

Terms of Reference

The post is offered on a full time basis, on a permanent contract with a six-month probationary period. The salary will be £28,500.

At the PSHE Association, we believe in a healthy work-life balance. That is why we offer a nine-day fortnight working pattern, giving our team every other Friday off (in other words a long weekend twice a month). We believe this gives employees more time to recharge and more time for what matters to them. This shorter working week benefit (equivalent to 32 hours per week on full pay) kicks in once employees have successfully completed three months of their probationary period, with a standard 35-hour working week in place up until that point. 

Our offices are based in central London, close to Russell Square, and this is where the role will be primarily based alongside some days of the week working from home.
